Tsubasa is truly a remarkable manga. It is a masterfully written piece that features charming characters and takes readers on an exciting journey. This manga stands as one of CLAMP's greatest works to date. It is a manga where one needs to have read most, if not all, of CLAMP's previous works to fully understand the references scattered throughout.

As a whole, this series is outstanding. The first volume, in particular, is simply wonderful and endearing. Syaoran and Sakura, the main characters from Cardcaptor Sakura, inhabit a fantasy world where Sakura is the princess of Clow Kingdom and Syaoran is an archaeologist. They both encounter these ruins (not simultaneously), and Sakura loses her feathers, which are her memories of her life. With her feathers dispersed across different worlds, Syaoran embarks on a quest to find them and save Sakura's life.

There are also several colorful characters who accompany him. Firstly, there's the grouchy swordsman Kurogane, who was the guard of a princess and was sent on a journey to find a way to be strong without taking the lives of others. Then there's Fai, a powerful sorcerer who appears to be fleeing his world for some unknown reason. He is positive, cheerful, mischievous, quick-witted, and a bit of a goof. The comedy between him and Kurogane is highly entertaining. It's the typical opposite personalities who hate each other but are really close friends dynamic. While it's funny at times, it's also something we've seen before.

Of course, this series is connected to CLAMP's other series XXXHolic. The characters visit the Dimensional Witch Yuko Ichihara, and she sends them on a quest while each of them pays a price for undertaking this journey.

If I had to offer one criticism, it would be that Sakura seems rather weak in this series. She is unconscious for a significant portion of the volume (and some of the earlier volumes as well), and her true love has to rescue her constantly.

I absolutely adore this manga. It's fun, clever, creative, and the characters are a joy to follow. It's a wonderful adventure filled with fantastic magical moments.

I picked this one up because I'm reading through xxxHolic and it reached a point where the story became really incomprehensible without knowing what was happening in Tsubasa.

We encounter characters who are familiar from other CLAMP manga. However, here they are from different worlds and possess different traits. Sakura and Syaoran are reimagined as teenage sweethearts from another world. A magical disaster occurs, and Sakura is left without her memories and her heart. Syaoran embarks on a quest to recover them and save her life, accompanied by two other people from different dimensions. Yuko from xxxHolic sets them on their journey and provides them with a helper that enables them to jump between worlds.

Now I'm eagerly waiting for book two to arrive at the library. I'm curious to see how the story will unfold further and how the characters will develop. The combination of different worlds and familiar faces makes this series truly captivating. I can't wait to continue reading and discover more about the adventures and mysteries that lie ahead.

This series is truly remarkable as it seems to take us on a journey, skipping through the "Life and Times of CLAMP."

And this is indeed a great aspect of it.

Now, let's talk about the translators' notes. They are excellent. It is highly recommended that you read them. They are of great help.

This series, along with its crossover, xxxHolic, makes use of numerous Japanese cultural details that foreigners might not be familiar with. The notes play a crucial role in clarifying these details.

Moreover, the notes also assist in explaining certain things related to the crossover that readers might not be aware of if they don't follow both series simultaneously.

Overall, this series is a lot of fun. Although it can get a bit confusing at times, it remains a very good series that offers an engaging and immersive experience.

It combines interesting storylines, unique characters, and a rich cultural backdrop to create a world that is worth exploring.

Whether you are a fan of CLAMP's works or simply interested in Japanese culture and manga, this series is definitely worth checking out.

Sakura loses the feathers of her memory. Shaoran, in order to save her, not only has to travel through the worlds, but he also knows that the only feathers he will never find are the ones on him... so she won't remember loving him.

Well, that's a great start.

I predict feels that will be broken, shattered, and trampled just like only the Clamp Masters know how to do.

However, there is a glimmer of hope: after so much pain in X, finally there is joy for Sorata and Arashi.

I don't delude myself that they are immune to the Clampian fate of memory, but we'll see later how many tears I'll shed.

It's a story full of mystery and emotion. The journey of Shaoran to save Sakura is filled with challenges and sacrifices. We can only imagine the pain he feels knowing that Sakura may never remember their love.

And yet, there is still a glimmer of hope in the form of Sorata and Arashi's joy. Maybe this will bring some light to the otherwise dark story.

As the story unfolds, we'll be on the edge of our seats, waiting to see what happens next and how it will all end.

This is a captivating fantasy quest journey that is, above all, a beautiful love story.

Childhood friends, Princess Sakura and Syaoran, the son of a renowned archeologist, reunite after a separation of seven years. After his father's passing, the royal family graciously offered Syaoran a place in their home. However, as a commoner, he felt he couldn't accept. Now, Syaoran has made a name for himself in the archeological field and returns to the land of Sakura's kingdom.

When Sakura visits the archeological dig and touches the Tsubasa (the wings) of an ancient artifact, she loses all of her memories from the moment of her birth. Now, Syaoran must embark on a perilous journey through space and time to gather her memories back and save Sakura!

Two other space/time travelers cross paths with Syaoran; one by his own choice, the other banished. Now, the fates of the three are intertwined as they navigate through alternate dimensions.

Despite the somewhat corny and melodramatic plot, I find myself thoroughly enjoying this manga. I am particularly drawn to the swoop-ey illustrations that give a sense of weightlessness to the time travel. However, I do have a slight issue with the portrayal of the helpless girl character. My manga friend, who has read the entire series, assures me that as the story progresses, Sakura undergoes a transformation and becomes a strong and capable character. Alas, I usually only read the first book in a manga series...

I'm currently re-reading the series with the intention of seeing if the entire story makes sense when read all at once.

It's truly frustrating to witness the damseling of Sakura. Her personality seems to be reduced to nothing more than "in love with Syaoran." It's disheartening to see such a one-dimensional portrayal.

Moreover, the price that Syaoran has to pay is equally aggravating. We are forced to endure his man pain over Sakura never remembering him. This aspect of the story just adds to the overall disappointment.

It makes one wonder if there couldn't have been a more interesting and complex development for both characters.

As I continue to re-read, I hope to find some redeeming qualities or perhaps a new perspective that might change my current opinion.

But for now, the damseling of Sakura and Syaoran's man pain remain significant drawbacks in my view of the series.

Rewriting this article and expanding it, I have many memories. Years ago, I watched the anime and then continued reading the manga from where it ended. But now, I come to read it in the proper way. :)

I can't wait to see again these stories that await Fye, Kurogane, Sakura, and Shaoran, as well as those characters who are in the different worlds. Each of them has their own unique charm and story. The adventures they embark on are full of excitement and mystery. It's like opening a door to a magical world every time I pick up the manga.

I'm looking forward to reliving those moments and seeing how their relationships develop and how they overcome the challenges that come their way. It's going to be a wonderful journey of rediscovery.

After so many years of only watching the anime, I finally fulfilled the promise of reading the manga to better understand the story.

I admit that so far there are no surprises. After all, I remember the anime very well and it's all very similar.

But it is still an exciting reading to do, reminding me why I love this story so much!

The anticipation for the next volumes is high.

I am looking forward to seeing if there are any additional details or plot twists that were not shown in the anime.

Reading the manga gives me a different perspective and allows me to appreciate the story even more.

I can't wait to continue this journey and discover what lies ahead in the manga.

Hopefully, it will meet my expectations and provide me with more enjoyment and excitement.

Overall, I am glad that I decided to read the manga and I would recommend it to anyone who loves the anime or the story in general.

I had been postponing picking up this series for quite some time. This is because it is a sort of crossover with several other CLAMP series. Generally speaking, I am against crossovers as I find a certain level of laziness in them. However, I finally picked it up and while reading, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that these are not simply carbon copies of the characters' alternative selves. Instead, CLAMP took the basic concept of each character from the original source and transformed them into unique individuals. There are some characters that end up being almost the same as their source, such as Chi from Chobits and Sora from X/1999. But overall, it has not felt as lazy as I initially thought it would be.

Regarding the actual story, so far I am enjoying the setup and the idea of the cast of heroes traveling between different dimensions to find Sakura's lost memories. I am hoping that the series will have an overall coherent story and not be too episodic like some quest manga series can be. But for now, it definitely seems solid enough.

The art, as always with CLAMP, is impressive and truly a pleasure to look at. It is drawn more in the simplistic style of Chobits or Angelic Layer, but it is still very beautiful and has some extremely intricate panels. Additionally, I was very pleased with the usual ornate CLAMP costume design!

I am restarting this manga that I started several years ago.

I really hope to read it until the end this time to know the outcome.

It has been a long time since I last picked up this manga, and now I am filled with anticipation.

I remember the initial excitement when I first began reading it, but for some reason, I didn't manage to finish it.

Now, as I embark on this new reading journey, I am determined to see it through.

I wonder what twists and turns the story holds and how it will all conclude.

Each page I turn will bring me closer to the final revelation, and I can't wait to discover it.

With this newfound motivation, I am confident that I will be able to complete this manga and satisfy my curiosity once and for all.

One of my all-time favorites!

I will always be a CLAMP fan. This was a beautiful spin-off of another series that I adored from them.

Although it is not entirely necessary, I would suggest reading Cardcaptors before this.

The characters in this are the same as those in the other series, yet they also have their own individuality.

It's a new universe with its own deep history, and this is a wonderful and fantastic story.

CLAMP has once again managed to create a captivating world that draws you in and makes you eager to explore every detail.

The art is, as always, stunning, adding to the overall charm of the series.

Whether you're a long-time fan of CLAMP or new to their work, this spin-off is definitely worth checking out.

You'll be hooked from the very first page and won't be able to put it down until you've reached the end.

So, if you're looking for a great read filled with magic, adventure, and memorable characters, give this spin-off a try.

You won't be disappointed!

Well, this is a completely new version of Sakura. It presents an entirely different world where Sakura is a princess. Her brother rules the Kingdom of Clowand, and Yukito is the high priest. Syaoran, on the other hand, is a commoner. Interestingly, the one who was previously Sakura's father is now Syaoran's late father. Syaoran works in an archeological dig. One fateful day, something strange occurs to Sakura at a particularly unique archeological site. There, a weird symbol causes Sakura's memories to shatter and scatter throughout other dimensions. Now, Syaoran embarks on a quest to gather all her memories, but this comes at a price.

This new version is quite confusing, to say the least. While Cardcaptor Sakura is set in our world, this one is a departure. In fact, there are many worlds that Syaoran will traverse on his quest. I anticipate a lot of world building with each new world, along with numerous new rules and forms of magic.

Syaoran is traveling with two others - Fai and Kurogane - and a magical being - Mokona. Mokona was given to them by a dimensional Witch named Yūko, who has the power to send them to another world to commence the quest. In each world, they will discover a feather that contains Sakura's memories, enabling her to wake up.

I was rather lost in this. I had no expectations whatsoever, but I didn't anticipate it to be so different from the original story. I'm continuing with this because I'm intrigued by the new magical worlds within the series. However, as for Sakura, don't expect any similarities.

Also, I kind of wished the old characters had a more significant role in the story. So far, it doesn't seem likely, which is a pity because Touya and Yukito...

This is a vast series, and I'm certain it will be filled with countless adventures. So, I can't say I'm not excited. But I did hope for more resemblance to the original and more focus on Sakura. Also, I still have yet to discover who or what Tsubasa is! I'm not sure yet how to recommend this series.
