Honestly, I have a deep affection for Jojo. However, when it comes to Part 3, I didn't find it as enjoyable as the other parts.
With the exception of the final battles, the majority of the series adhered to the same old stand-of-the-week formula. While this might have been acceptable, considering Part 4 also has numerous minor antagonists, many of the stands in Part 3 were disappointingly uninteresting. For example, The Sun, Wheel Of Fortune, and Khnum.
To be honest, it's probably the last four major battles that prevented me from giving it a two-star rating. Nevertheless, we must also appreciate the great wealth of memes that have emerged from this part, such as the Kakyoin-MILF-Hunter memes and the Joseph-Avdol-( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) memes. These memes have added an extra layer of entertainment and cultural significance to the series.
Despite my reservations about Part 3, I still have a great deal of respect and love for the Jojo franchise as a whole. Each part has its own unique charm and qualities, and I look forward to seeing what future installments have in store.
I just completed the entire thing, but I don't feel like adding all the volumes. It's fine as it is. I have an intense love for Joseph, yet I have an even greater fondness for Battle Tendency.
Also, I detest the way women are treated in this series. It has almost made me stop reading on several occasions because of it. The portrayal of women seems to be rather one-sided and lacking in depth. They often appear to be mere accessories or objects of desire, rather than fully developed characters with their own agency and personalities.
This aspect really disappoints me and makes it difficult for me to fully engage with the story at times. I hope that in future installments, the creators will address this issue and give the female characters the respect and attention they deserve.
