I'm going to embark on a manga/graphic novel adventure for a while. I'm crossing off all the series on my extensive list. There are numerous of them. JoJo's Bizarre Adventure is one of my husband's favorite animes. As for me, being the person I am, I had to read the manga first, even though I'm aware they're likely quite similar. I've watched the first few episodes and I must concur with their resemblances.

The first volume doesn't really delve deep into what's going to occur. It's more of a substantial backstory to the actual storyline. There's Dio, arguably the world's biggest jerk. In my opinion, he has no legitimate reason to be like this, but that's just his nature. JoJo, on the other hand, is a true 'gentleman'. He does everything within his power to prove himself as such. Of course, the two come into conflict; you can't claim you didn't anticipate that. I feel like this was a significant setup for the plot and it progressed a bit slowly, but I don't have any genuine complaints. I can't wait to dive into volume 2! Fortunately, I've already retrieved it from the library.

So I have been rather critical of Manga and Manwha. Lately, I just haven't come across anything that I truly adored. Well, aside from some rather adult-oriented material, I've pretty much loathed everything I've read in the Manga genre, especially Shonen.

But then a person recommended this to me. Okay, he wasn't exactly a kid, but he used to be a few years ago. Anyway, he didn't prepare me for all the awesomeness! There are vampires, spirit warriors, and a really strange journey that involves intense fighting, bugs that devour tongues, and so much more.

Most of the aspects that I dislike about Manga, such as the simplistic artwork and convoluted stories, are absent here. The panels and the story are extremely clear about what's happening, even though the story is far more epic and complex than most of the other junk I've read. And while the artwork didn't make me stop and drool over every single panel, it was really cool and highly effective.

Seriously. Give this a read. Even if you're not a fan of manga.

Part 3 is so mediocre.

I really don't understand why it was so long.

It felt like it dragged on and on without really adding much value.

There were so many unnecessary details and tangents that could have been cut out.

It made the whole experience a bit of a slog.

I was hoping for something more engaging and exciting, but instead, I was left feeling bored and frustrated.

Maybe if they had trimmed it down and focused on the key points, it would have been a lot better.

As it stands, Part 3 is definitely the weakest part of the whole thing.

I hope they take this feedback into account and make some improvements in the future.
