I truly believe that this particular installment was a favorite throughout the entire series. Oh, how I loveeeee Cliff!!!

From that charming earring he sports to those magnificent ruby spurs and everything in between..lol. There's just something so captivating about a larger-than-life hero like him. And Amanda, she was simply the perfect heroine to complement Cliff.

The way the story was crafted and the book ended was just wonderful. It left me with such a sense of satisfaction. Now, I find myself eager to go back and locate the remaining books in the series.

This is indeed a great series, and this particular one stands out as being truly exceptional. It has all the elements that make for a great read - a charming hero, a perfect heroine, and a captivating story that keeps you hooked from start to finish.

A simple story whose protagonists could hook but don't quite fit for me.

Whenever I read a story of this kind, I immerse myself in the era it represents to avoid making current judgments. However, in this case, I think that even by overlooking it, one cannot deny that I have become a bit tired of "reading how virile he is and how because of that he has to sleep with women" and how she contradicts the idea: "I want to be a modern woman, I don't even believe it myself."

And then a little phrase that is thrown out at the end that has made me rethink what the author intended... Anyway, it's a romantic erotic novel, quick to read, and that's it.

This type of story seems to follow a somewhat clichéd pattern that doesn't fully engage my interest. The characters' actions and dialogues often feel predictable, and the supposed contradictions in the female protagonist don't come across as genuine or well-developed.

Perhaps the author was trying to create a complex and passionate romance, but for me, it falls short of achieving that. The ending, with that one phrase that makes me question the whole point, leaves me with a sense of dissatisfaction.

Overall, while it may be a quick and easy read for some, it doesn't offer much in terms of depth or originality.

Jamaica 1820

In the year 1820 in Jamaica, we have Cliff, who is 28 years old, and Amanda, who is 17. It is truly wonderful to come across a great read like this one! I very rarely give 5 stars, but this book most definitely deserved it. I was completely in love with the plot. The interaction between Cliff and Amanda was not only sweet but also funny and romantic. It was truly a delight to read.

I think the funniest part had to be when Cliff exclaimed, "Where the fuck is my ship" hahaha. It really made me laugh out loud. I wholeheartedly recommend this book to anyone and everyone! I am so impressed that I have made up my mind to read all of the de Warenne Dynasty books. I can't wait to see what other精彩 storiesawait me in this series.

I highly encourage others to give this book a try and experience the magic for themselves. You won't be disappointed!

Beautiful

I absolutely adored this story! It was so captivating that I simply could not put it down. As I read, I felt as if I was actually on the island, aboard the ship, and within the ballroom. Every single character in the story was so well-developed and strong. It was such a beautiful and enchanting read. In my opinion, it truly deserves far more than a 5-star rating. I have read works by this author before, and she has never once disappointed me! Not ever! This story is a prime example of her amazing talent and ability to transport readers into a whole new world. I can't wait to see what else she has in store for us in the future.

This is what occurs when you delve into Brenda Joyce's romance novels! I wound up going to sleep at 2 am, neglecting my homework, and devoting my entire focus to the book. I was simply desperate to find out what took place next.

So... I must admit that I didn't read the de Warrene novels in sequence. My initial one was Rolfe de Warrene, and wow. He was, for me, the very embodiment of an alpha male. However, when it came to reading Cliff de Warrene, I thought to myself: this man is descended from Rolfe? Seriously? The gentlemanly nature was truly an interesting and novel approach in the book. And I'm afraid I'm about to have my outburst now...

I absolutely love this book! The heroine is astonishing, and the hero is equally astonishing. The story? It's beautiful and brilliant! I was hoping it would be a scorching and steamy romance like Rolfe's but... There I go again, making unfair comparisons! Although it's not like The Conquerer, I thoroughly enjoyed this book!

There is no question that I will carry on my search for the remainder of the de Warrene books. =)

This was an incredible journey, just as I had expected. Brenda Joyce has never disappointed me, and now I just love the author more.

I read this book in Swedish in the pocket cover titled "Piratens Dotter".

The day when Amanda Carre's father is hanging, the pirate hunter Cliff deWarenne saves her and follows his promise to protect her and takes her home to his mother to make her a lady. Cliff is aware that Amanda is totally unprepared for a debut in London. So, he ensures that this wild, yet beautiful pirate's daughter is taught how a fine lady should behave, and he also takes on the task of finding a suitable husband for her.

However, as time passes, it becomes increasingly difficult for Cliff to hide their desire, and their love can no longer be denied.

This book made me lose sleep, laugh, cry, and be excited. Amanda is a heroine who is truly wild, and she is even the same age as me, 17 years old. The bad thing about her was that she was so childish at the beginning. Who gets jealous of a little girl just because she can read?

Cliff, Cliff, Cliff........... God, how much I LOVE HIM!!!!!! I always love Joyce's heroes, and he is no exception. He is so wild, strong, and loves the ocean as much as Amanda does. I almost cried when he found out that he loved her after leaving her for 2 weeks. Then I cried again when he noticed that she left him and saw how his heart was crushed. Oh, how I felt sorry for him!!!!!

I'm also looking forward to reading about Cliff's children. I know Alexi deWarenne has a book, and I'm really looking forward to reading it. He is 10 years old in "A Lady at Last" and is a real troublemaker. I wonder how wild he will become when he is an adult man!

It was an incredible end, and the epilogue made me laugh too!

Wow, this is a great book! However, I didn't realize until the very last 3 pages (from the letter of the author) that this is the 6th book in a series. UGH!

I would really appreciate it if I knew in advance that a book is part of a series, whether it can stand alone or not. This is because usually there are various references to the previous books within the story.

When I read the books out of order, I often get confused about the sequence of events. It can be quite frustrating. Again, UGH!

Despite this, the book itself was still excellent. The story, the characters, and the writing were all very engaging. I just wish I had known about the series earlier to have a more seamless reading experience.

I read a wonderful pirate story by Brenda Joyce.

The fluent language of the book dragged me into the events that I couldn't stop without realizing it. But there were also some annoying lines... For example, the constant blushing of the male character's cheeks... The girl finding all the misfortunes and pains... Despite all these, the book made me like it.

One of my all-time favorite books is truly a gem!

I was completely enthralled by this book from the very beginning to the very end.

The story was so captivating that I couldn't put it down for a moment.

The characters were well-developed and came to life on the pages, making me feel as if I was right there with them.

The plot was filled with twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat, eager to find out what would happen next.

I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a good read.

It is definitely worth your time and will leave you with a sense of satisfaction and a desire to read it again.

Trust me, once you pick up this book, you won't be able to put it down!

I quite liked it.

However, the author has a tendency to create very irritating female protagonists.

This can sometimes be a drawback as it may affect the reader's overall enjoyment of the story.

The irritating nature of these characters might make it difficult for the reader to empathize with them or become fully invested in their journey.

Despite this, the overall quality of the work is still good.

The author may need to work on developing more likable and relatable female protagonists in the future to enhance the reader's experience.

Perhaps by giving them more complex personalities and motives, the author can make these characters more interesting and engaging.

Overall, while the irritating female protagonists are a bit of a distraction, the story still has its merits and is worth reading.

This is one of my favorite historical fiction romances.

It is a captivating story about a pirate's daughter. She is wild and unrestrained, completely unlike a traditional "lady".

After a tragic event, a captain decides to take her to London to meet her mother. During the long voyage, the captain enlists the help of tutors to assist her in learning all that is necessary to become a proper "lady".

The story beautifully spans the entire voyage and her lessons in London. It shows her transformation and growth as she adapts to the new environment and learns the ways of society.

Ultimately, the story also delves into her love for DeWarren. Their relationship adds an extra layer of romance and drama to the already engaging plot.

Overall, it is a very good story that combines elements of history, adventure, and romance to create a truly unforgettable reading experience.

Really, I don't know what to tell you. At the beginning, this story didn't fit me. The protagonist suffers from gender-based violence at the hands of her father. Besides that, there are other things in this story that didn't resonate with me. However, I can say that in the end, it picked up, and it had a predictable and nice ending.

Perhaps the initial part of the story was too dark and disturbing for my taste. The description of the protagonist's suffering made me feel a bit uncomfortable. But as the story progressed, there were some glimmers of hope and positive change. The way the protagonist managed to overcome her difficulties and find some sort of happiness was quite heartwarming.

Overall, although the story had its flaws, it still had the power to engage me and make me think about the issue of gender-based violence. It also showed that even in the face of great adversity, there is always a possibility of a better future.
