Some Nerve was truly an enjoyable read. However, I couldn't help but feel that there were certain secondary plots that had the potential to be explored in much greater depth. Ann, the main character, was quite likeable, despite the fact that I had some reservations and questions regarding some of her decisions. She had a certain charm and authenticity that made her easy to root for. On the other hand, the other characters, while not as fully developed as Ann, still had their own unique qualities and were interesting in their own right. It would have been fascinating to delve deeper into their backstories and understand their motivations better. This would have added an extra layer of complexity and richness to the overall narrative.

This book is an outstanding story precisely for those of you who find yourselves overly excited and caught up in the fast-paced lane of life. In the hustle and bustle, you often overlook and forget about the little things that truly matter.

It serves as a gentle reminder that in our pursuit of speed and success, we should not lose sight of the simple joys and details that make life beautiful.

The story unfolds in a way that engages the reader and makes them reflect on their own lives. It shows how the little things can have a profound impact and bring a sense of fulfillment and happiness.

Whether it's a kind gesture from a stranger, a beautiful sunset, or a moment of quiet reflection, these are the things that we should cherish and hold onto.

This book is a must-read for anyone who wants to slow down, appreciate the little things, and find true meaning and joy in life.

Pretty good, but not great.

There were some good parts in the story, and the plot moved forward at a brisk pace. However, I did feel frustrated with the rather formulaic way it was written.

I have a penchant for chick lit, and I understand that it often adheres to a certain formula. But still, I do appreciate a touch of ingenuity.

It's not necessary to follow the formula to the letter every single time.

Despite its flaws, the story did have one redeeming quality. It actually made me want to go and volunteer at a hospital!

Perhaps that's the power of literature, even when it's not perfect, it can still inspire and move us in unexpected ways.

Overall, it was an okay read, but it definitely had room for improvement in terms of breaking free from the formulaic mold.

Overall, this was a decent book.

However, I had the impression that there could or should have been several distinct books within the story. Each of these parts seemed somewhat incompletely told.

Ann's time at the hospital was perhaps the most fascinating to me. Her interactions with each patient and how each one could have further opened her up, as well as her handling of the disgruntled patients, were quite engaging. I would have relished more details about this aspect.

Similarly, her family was rather humorous with their constant banter. I wouldn't have objected to hearing more about how her mother continued to overcome her phobias, as well as more about living with three other phobic women.

Finally, it appeared that her relationship with Malcolm was underdeveloped. Maybe it was because it was predictably going to have a happy ending with them that I was able to accept their budding romance in the hospital with just minor narrations describing it. But in hindsight, I would have liked to actually observe more of Ann's thoughts as she was falling for him.

Nevertheless, as I mentioned earlier, it was a decent book. It was light and easy to read, and it passed by quite quickly. It was enjoyable.

Ann Ross is a journalist who works for a magazine focused on celebrities.

Her boss is insistent that she secures an interview with Malcolm Goddard, a man who despises the media and refers to them as parasites.

Against all odds, Ann manages to find a way to approach him, but unfortunately, it all backfires spectacularly, quite literally.

Later, she gets another opportunity to interview him, but this time she has to go up in his plane.

Ann has a severe phobia of flying and simply cannot bring herself to board the plane.

As a result, she loses the interview and gets fired from her job.

Disheartened, she decides to return home to Missouri.

Back in Missouri, Ann takes on a volunteer position at the hospital.

To her surprise, she discovers that Malcolm is coming to the hospital to have his heart checked.

What a small world! Ann initially decides to get even with him for all the trouble he caused her in LA.

However, as events unfold, she gets something completely unexpected that she never bargained for.

I truly relished this book. The characters were masterfully crafted and highly entertaining, making it a captivating read from start to finish.
