As a certified health professional with a specialization in sexual health, I feel compelled to express my stance that I would not recommend this book.

On one hand, it is true that the book contains some medically accurate information, which could potentially be beneficial. However, this positive aspect is overshadowed by the author's blatant biases that are pervasive throughout the text.

The author's opinions on what sex is for men seem to be a distraction from the otherwise valuable medical content. These subjective views may mislead readers and prevent them from obtaining a comprehensive and objective understanding of sexual health.

Given these concerns, I believe that there are other resources available that provide a more balanced and reliable approach to sexual health education. It is essential for individuals seeking information on this topic to choose their sources carefully to ensure they are receiving accurate and useful knowledge.

Of course, as a woman, I listened to the audiobook of this with a certain peer curiosity.

And indeed, I definitely learned a great deal of things that I might have never known before. It's a rather strange equalizing feeling to hear all the various things that can potentially go wrong with a man's penis.

I'm not a doctor, so I can't really speak on any of the medical advice. However, I did take issue with one particular part. In an attempt to reassure men that all penis sizes will be able to satisfy any woman, he explains that all that is needed to make a woman orgasm is the stimulation of the clit which is outside, and therefore any depth of penetration is not important. (This is not an exact quote.) This bothered me for numerous reasons. Of course, men shouldn't overly worry about their penis size. But you're oversimplifying it by simply saying that as long as there is stimulation of the clit, a woman will orgasm. It's almost putting all the blame for not having an orgasm back on the woman. It's an oversimplification because it doesn't say anything about the woman's personality or her preference for the stimulation of the G-Spot, or about the psychological connection that a couple might have.

No matter who you are or what parts you have, it's of utmost importance to learn about your partner. Even if it's just a one-night stand and not a long-term relationship, you can have an open dialogue to accelerate the learning process of what you want and what your partner wants, so that both parties can walk away satisfied.

My review is based on listening to the 2002 version, which I listened to in the 2004 audiobook, and I am writing this review in 2025.

While I do appreciate the effort that went into creating this work, a significant portion of it is related to medical information that has since changed. For instance, the state of HIV treatment has evolved tremendously since this was written. In today's context, if a doctor is unfamiliar with how to handle HIV cases, it indicates a serious deficiency in their medical knowledge and skills. Moreover, the statistics and attitudes discussed in this work are from a bygone era.

Therefore, I would strongly recommend that you seek out something more recent to read. This will ensure that you are exposed to the most up-to-date and relevant information, especially in the rapidly advancing fields of medicine and health. By reading newer materials, you can gain a more accurate understanding of the current state of affairs and make more informed decisions.
