Once again, I find myself deeply in love with Patterson's work. This series is truly evolving into one of my all-time favorite series. It has this amazing ability to constantly keep you on your toes. Just when you are convinced that you have figured out who the killer is, you are proven wrong. It's like a thrilling rollercoaster ride of emotions and surprises.

I thoroughly enjoy delving into the stories of the main characters. Their development and the way their narratives flow is simply remarkable. It's as if they come alive on the pages and draw you into their world.

As for Lindsey and Joe, their relationship is one that I'm particularly invested in. I truly hope that they can find a way to be together, regardless of the demands and challenges of their respective jobs. Their love seems so genuine and I'm rooting for them to overcome all obstacles and find happiness in each other's arms.

Again, this was an outstanding book penned by James Patterson. I simply can't have enough of his remarkable work! One of the aspects I truly cherish about this book is its short chapters. It gives the impression that the book is progressing at a rapid pace. I constantly find myself eager to read just one more chapter, considering it might only be 2 or 3 pages long. However, that one additional chapter invariably turns into 10 more chapters.

Lindsay Boxer is an intelligent and highly motivated cop who is determined not to give up until her case is resolved. I thoroughly enjoy following her life throughout this series and relish getting to know more about her character and those in her vicinity. I also appreciated the fact that there were two cases in this book. A significant portion of the beginning concentrates on the Car Murders, but then, towards the middle and end, a great deal of focus is placed on the hospital deaths. Yuki, Claire, and Cindy are excellent supporting characters in these books. I love delving a little deeper into their stories as the books unfold, as they each frequently play a crucial role in the narrative. I'm eagerly anticipating continuing to read the books in this series and uncovering what adventures these four women will be plunged into!

Since delving into this remarkable series, I have come to the realization that James Patterson has a penchant for not allowing his characters to bask in unadulterated happiness for an extended period.

Each and every book within this collection is replete with a plethora of action-packed sequences that simply leave me spellbound. I must admit, I did find this particular installment a shade slower compared to the previous ones. However, that did not deter me in the slightest, as I voraciously devoured every single page. It was an absolute impossibility to put the book down once I had begun.

Once again, I found myself utterly enamored with all of the characters. Reading about their exploits and adventures was an absolute delight. Although the ending did not completely floor me, it did manage to surprise me to a certain extent. My reviews for this series seem to be getting progressively shorter, and that is simply because I am loving these books for the very same reasons that have endeared them to me from the outset.

As of now, I have already embarked on reading book 6, and I am positively brimming with excitement to discover what the Women's Murder Club will get up to next.

In the new book of the Women's Murder Club, we are dealing with two parallel police stories: a duo of killers drugs and rapes young girls, then dresses them in the latest fashion and places them in expensive cars, while at the San Francisco General Hospital, the deaths of patients are skyrocketing in a way that indicates human error, only that someone is putting buttons with the caduceus of Hermes "for good guidance" in their eyes. Lindsay and her friends try to solve the mystery when an experienced and unyielding lawyer manages to gather the relatives of the victims around her, demanding a huge compensation from the hospital in court.

The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse are Famine, Death, Pestilence, and War. But the Fifth Horseman is Man, and he is the most dangerous of all. With such unyielding people, Lieutenant Lindsay Boxer is up against it, unyielding individuals who don't think twice before taking an innocent life, even if it's that of a five-year-old child. By her side is the city's chief medical examiner, Claire Washburn, the lawyer Yuki Castellano, whose mother becomes a victim of the killer in the hospital and this changes her life forever, and the journalist Cindy Thomas, who at some point doesn't handle the reports for the high-profile case very well. And all this almost five months after the previous story.

The successive killers of the dead girls were revealed near the middle of the book in the well-known thrilling way of the two authors, only that they left me many gaps regarding the etiology of their crimes and their relationship with each other. The way one of the two reacted was extreme and remained unexplained, even through the words of the police or the confession of the second. And frankly, when I encounter parallel stories without a connecting link between them, my mind automatically goes to "padding pages".

So let's focus on the deaths at the city's General Hospital and the trial that Maureen O'Mara started for moral compensation for the relatives of the dead. Fortunately, without overly many static scenes as in the previous book of the series, "4th of July", this thrilling thriller had everything and in the right doses: an angel of death takes human lives, Lindsay Boxer does everything she can to track him down while at the same time her instinct is not enough to set the legal procedures in motion. The outcome of the trial is only the tip of the iceberg, as immediately after a snowball of revelations and twists begins that didn't let me catch my breath until the end.

Spyroule's Observations: 1) Despite all this, it impresses me that more than 30 people were killed in one place and this didn't force the police to close it off, seal it, and finally take measures earlier! 2) Is it possible that one victim in the hospital died from the wrong drug because he happened to change beds with another patient who took the wrong medication? Didn't the nurse talk to him? Didn't she see his details?

With the "Fifth Horseman", the Women's Murder Club takes the lead again and mainly transforms Yuki, who from a simple lawyer prefers to hunt and lock up criminals in prison, so she starts working as a deputy district attorney! On the other hand, Lindsay's partner is coming to San Francisco while a comical-tragic obstacle slows down their plans for a peaceful weekend. Let's see what awaits us from the continuation of this women's team!

Love this series!

It truly reminds me of watching an extended episode of Law and Order. The characters, especially Lindsay and her friends, are extremely likable. They have this charm that makes you think you could also be a detective.

I have a particular enjoyment of the relationship between Lindsey and Claire. There is simply nothing better in life than having a really good girlfriend. It's so heartwarming to see their bond and how they support each other.

And of course, it is always nice to see women getting along. It sets a positive example.

As usual, the mystery in this series kept me guessing until the very end. It had me on the edge of my seat, eager to find out the truth.

I am so impressed that I will definitely read this entire series without a doubt. I can't wait to see what other adventures and mysteries await Lindsay and her friends.

When the fifth part commences with a knife and a bloody murder scene, you are instantly aware that you are in for a thrilling adventure :D

Let's begin with the The bloody syringe on the cover. In the end, it all makes sense as all the killings are attributed to a syringe and wrong medication. While reading this book, I couldn't help but wonder how easily nurses and doctors can become lethal (of course, with a motive). Well, I guess anyone entrusted with such responsibility could be in that position if given the key to determine a person's fate, whether it's life or death.

At the beginning, there were two storylines running parallel. One was about the murdered girls found in expensive clothes and accessories in random cars. This was resolved in the middle of the book, yet I'm still unsure about the motive behind the killings. The second, which I consider the main plot, was about the killings in the municipal hospital of patients who were not supposed to die.

The night walker enters the patients' rooms at night, convinces them to have a good night's sleep with medications, but ends up mixing the wrong one. This causes the patient to breathe heavily, gasp for air, and die after violent spasms. The night walker then places coins embedded with the caduceus, serpents around the winged staff, on each of the dead patients' eyes.

The courtroom scenes were enjoyable (reminding me of Namal <3).

Excerpt from the NOVEL
'When my dad returned from the war, he had changed in numerous ways. He informed my mom about the four Horseman of the Apocalypse - Death, Famine, Pestilence, and War - you know. But he stated that the Fifth horseman was Man, and that Man was the most perilous of all. You've got Garza, Lindsay. You've got the Fifth horseman.'

P.S. I wouldn't have had to read the entire novel if I'd read the epilogue first :'D

Women's Murder Club #5 is yet another outrageously readable installment in the Woman's Murder Club series by James Patterson and Maxine Paetro.

The story involves the "perfect" murders of rich-looking young women, with their bodies being callously dumped in vehicles in broad daylight. This shocking turn of events immediately grabs the reader's attention and keeps them on the edge of their seats.

Meanwhile, ongoing "accidental" deaths in the main private hospital arouse the suspicions of the club. At the same time, there is a multi-million pound class action against the hospital for earlier deaths, which Cyndi is reporting on. The combination of these different storylines creates a complex and engaging plot that is both brazenly over the top and cleverly crafted.

This crime series continues to deliver exciting and entertaining reads, and Women's Murder Club #5 is no exception. With its fast-paced action, interesting characters, and twisty plot, it is sure to satisfy fans of the genre. Overall, it earns a solid three stars out of six.

This is yet another outstanding installment of the series. It truly was a wild ride, like a thrilling rollercoaster that kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. I relished every single minute of it! It's definitely another fast-paced read that grabs your attention and doesn't let go.

If you haven't delved into the Women's Murder Club series yet, I highly encourage you to do so. I firmly believe that you won't be let down. This series has so much to offer, with its engaging storylines, well-developed characters, and plenty of twists and turns. It's a real page-turner that will keep you entertained and coming back for more. Highly recommend this series to all mystery and thriller lovers out there!

Another solid installment of the Women's Murder Club Series!

This series has become a reliable go-to for me at this point. The action, with its quick pacing, along with the elements of murder, mystery, and the nice character development from one book to another, seem to consistently deliver.

"The 5th Horseman" dedicated a significant portion of its time to the courtroom, similar to book #4. I appreciate the incorporation of more courtroom drama, which is interspersed with crime solving and the Murder Club meetings. The way these scenes unfold keeps me interested and engaged throughout the story.

However, the only drawback I find in this one is that there are two completely unrelated cases. I would have preferred to focus all the time on one case and then have the other case be a separate book in the series. Both cases are interesting, but since they have no connection at all, they sort of detract from each other. That's a bit of a disappointment.

Nevertheless, I look forward to reading book #6 in the future!

I truly have a great fondness for this series.

Certainly, there are certain moments when some cheesy elements can be detected. However, for the vast majority of the time, the intrigue and depth are indeed present.

These qualities manage to draw me in and carry me all the way to the end. I have a deep affection for the characters.

The introduction of multiple problems within a story and the way in which they are resolved is also something that I appreciate.

Undoubtedly, I will most definitely continue to read this series as it progresses.

I am eager to see what new adventures and developments lie ahead for the characters and the overall narrative.

This series has managed to capture my attention and hold it firmly, and I have no intention of letting go anytime soon.

Another fine installment in the Women's Murder Club series.

Just like the previous book, I thoroughly enjoyed the courtroom scenes. It was really great to see the three supporting Club characters have more prominent roles than they did in the last book. Their increased presence added more depth and variety to the story.

However, the 'B' case ended rather suddenly quite early on. For me, it felt a bit of a waste of time. I was hoping for a more developed and drawn-out resolution to that particular storyline. It seemed as if it was cut short before it could reach its full potential.

Overall, though, I still found the book to be an engaging and enjoyable read. The main plot and the interactions between the characters kept me hooked from start to finish. I'm looking forward to seeing what the next installment in the series has in store.

I need to remember not to read another book by James Patterson.

The "5th Horseman" was far from being a literary masterpiece. It had an okay plot, but it severely lacked class and depth.

There were an excessive number of advertisements for name brand products, which really detracted from the reading experience. Additionally, there was an overabundance of misery and death, making the story downright depressing.

Perhaps those working in law enforcement might find some interest in it, but for the average reader, it failed to deliver on many fronts.

I'm disappointed with this particular work by Patterson and will think twice before picking up another one of his books in the future.
