This is a truly great story that took me a little longer to read than my usual reads. It was so captivating that I couldn't put it down easily. Once again, Mr Patterson has truly struck gold with this masterpiece. The way he weaves the plot and develops the characters is simply amazing. I have always loved his books and the characters he creates. They feel so real and alive. It's like I'm actually a part of their world as I'm reading. Thank you, Mr Patterson, for being the best author out there. Your books always bring so much joy and excitement to my life. I can't wait to read more of your works in the future.

Occasionally, there are interesting and enjoyable pages within this work. However, overall, there are simply far too many implausible events or situations that are plain annoying to read.

The very concept of an active homicide detective being confined to a wheelchair seems absurd. It lacks the believability and authenticity that one would expect from a good mystery or crime novel.

Compared to "Along Came A Spider", this book falls short in many aspects. It fails to capture the reader's attention and hold it throughout the story. The plot may have had potential, but the execution was lacking.

In conclusion, while there are some redeeming qualities, the numerous flaws make this a less than satisfying read.

I have a great affection for James Patterson's books, or at least the majority of them. "Kiss the Girls", "Along Came a Spider" and "The Lake House" are some of my all-time favorite thrillers. They have the ability to keep me on the edge of my seat, with their captivating plots and well-developed characters.

However, then there is "The Midnight Club". I really have to question why it was even written. This book seems to be outdated, and its lack of appeal has nothing to do with its age. It is filled with several unrealistic precepts that make it difficult to suspend disbelief. The story feels more like a series of convenient events rather than a精心 crafted narrative.

It serves as proof that even the most talented authors can have an off day. I would highly recommend staying away from this particular book. There are so many other great works by James Patterson that are well worth your time and attention.

I haven't heard a plethora of outstanding things regarding James Patterson's numerous novels. However, I was still inclined to give one of them a read for myself. Alas, the plot turned out to be not only predictable but also astonishingly stupid simultaneously. The characters were inadequately developed and hastily thrust into situations that defied all logic. The overall bootlicking aspect is a definite turn-off for me, and so is the racist portrayal of Harlem and many of the characters who are written as people of color. It is safe to assert that I have firmly made up my mind about Patterson books.

This wasn't my favourite James Patterson book.

To be honest, I got a little lost with the whole organised crime bit. It seemed a bit too complex and convoluted for my taste. And there wasn't as much thrill as I had hoped there would be.

However, I did like Stefanovitch as a character. The fact that he was in a wheelchair added a unique dimension to the story. It's something that you don't typically see in a crime novel, and it made the character more interesting and relatable. The access to that sort of vulnerability made it very engaging to read.

I was also a little upset at the fact that Sarah's book got destroyed. It felt like a waste, and I was really hoping that it would play a more significant role in the story.

Overall, while this book had its moments, I think his other books are a lot more fulfilling as a story. They have more depth, more excitement, and more of the elements that I look for in a good thriller.

Another outstanding James Patterson story awaits.

This is a great tale, easy to read yet so captivating that you simply cannot put it down. It keeps you on the edge of your seat, eager to discover what will happen next in this thrilling story of good versus evil.

James Patterson once again demonstrates his mastery of the crime genre, creating a vivid and engaging world that readers will be reluctant to leave.

I skimmed through a lot of this material, but unfortunately, I didn't really enjoy it.

Perhaps it was the writing style that didn't quite appeal to me, or maybe the content wasn't as engaging as I had hoped.

Nevertheless, I did manage to pick up a few key points here and there.

However, overall, the experience left me feeling rather disappointed.

I had expected more from this piece, but it just didn't meet my expectations.

Maybe if I had taken the time to read it more carefully, I would have found something more interesting.

But as it stands, I can't say that I would recommend it to others.

While I admit that some of the more recent Alex Cross books haven't been outstanding, they at least managed to hold my attention.

I completed The Midnight Club on Friday and am penning this on Monday. To be honest, I can't recall a single detail about the plot.

At this juncture, I'm deliberating whether I should listen to this book again before it has to be returned to the library.

I'm hoping that a second listen might jog my memory and help me appreciate the story more. But then again, I'm not sure if it's worth the effort.

Maybe I'll just move on to another Patterson novel and hope for a better experience.

This is the third James Patterson book that I have had the pleasure of reading.

It is a good and solid police procedural that follows the story of a policeman who develops a deep personal vendetta against an amoral kingpin mob boss.

Together with another police officer, they work tirelessly to bring down not only the mob boss but also his cronies in the Midnight Club.

I found the first half of the book to be truly excellent, deserving of a 5-star rating. The plot was engaging, the characters were well-developed, and the suspense was palpable.

However, as the story progressed into the second half, I felt that it lost some of its momentum and became simply good, earning a 3-star rating.

Overall, it is a quick-reading and suspenseful tale that is definitely worth the time.

Despite its flaws, it kept me on the edge of my seat and entertained from start to finish.

I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good police procedural or a thrilling crime story.

Absolutely, this was one of Mr. Patterson's books. I have been an avid reader of his works, having devoured most of his Alex Cross series and all 17 installments of his Woman mystery series. This particular book was an absolute page-turner. It was extremely hard to put down once I started reading. I found myself completely engrossed in the story and thoroughly enjoyed all of the characters. Each one was well-developed and added a unique flavor to the narrative. Now, I find myself longing to see more of Parker and Stenfowitch partnered up, along with Sarah McGinness. Their dynamic was truly captivating, and I can't wait to see what adventures lie ahead for them. Mr. Patterson has once again done a great job of creating a thrilling and engaging mystery that kept me on the edge of my seat until the very end.
