Trying not to say too much about the story. It started out fine, but as it progressed, the middle and end became rather ridiculous. Their relationship seems highly unrealistic. The Detective and the writer come across as the stupidest people on earth. They seem to have completely forgotten what happened to them. It's almost comical how they fail to recall important details. One would think that with their supposed skills and intelligence, they would be able to remember crucial events. But no, they continuously make the same mistakes and show a lack of awareness. It makes one wonder if the author intended for them to be this way or if it was just a poor writing choice. Overall, the story has its flaws, and the characters' forgetfulness is one of the most prominent ones.

Yeah.......

This is not one of Patterson’s better books.

It is one of his early works and I was really looking forward to reading it.

Unfortunately, I was disappointed.

The characters were interesting, which was a plus.

However, the plot just didn't feel like it was developed enough.

It seemed rather flat and uneventful.

It was just a blah book.

And for being an easy read, it actually took too much effort on my part.

I found myself having to push through it to the end.

I was hoping for more excitement and depth, but it just didn't deliver.

Maybe Patterson has improved his writing skills in his later works.

Overall, this was not a very satisfying read for me.

My first encounter with a James Patterson book has been an interesting one.

Overall, it's not a bad read. It managed to hold my interest to the extent that I was compelled to finish the entire book. However, it didn't have that level of gripping and intriguing quality that would make it extremely hard to put down.

From reading other reviews, I learned that perhaps this particular book is one of his earlier works, and his writing style might have evolved compared to the books he published at a later time.

Despite this, I'm still filled with curiosity and eager to explore additional James Patterson books. I'm looking forward to seeing how his writing has developed over the years and experiencing the different stories and characters he has to offer.

I'm hopeful that the next book I pick up will be even more engaging and captivating, leaving me on the edge of my seat and unable to put it down until I've reached the very end.

His perseverance and commitment make him a truly remarkable character. We can't help but root for him as he embarks on this dangerous investigation.

As the story unfolds, we are drawn deeper into the world of the club and the challenges that Det. Stefanovich faces. It is a thrilling and engaging narrative that keeps us on the edge of our seats.
