Old reviews mysteriously went missing. It's really puzzling how the save function didn't seem to be working properly. This has caused quite a bit of inconvenience and frustration.

On a more positive note, the series "Women's Murder Club" is truly great. I have a deep love for this show. The storylines are engaging, the characters are well-developed, and the chemistry between them is palpable.

Each episode keeps me on the edge of my seat, eager to find out what will happen next. The club of women, with their diverse skills and personalities, come together to solve crimes in a unique and exciting way. It's a must-watch for any fan of crime dramas.

Joe Molinari !

Now I have to wait four months to get the next book from the library - dammit!

It seems that another "co-author" is taking over the series in Book 7. I think this is a good thing as Maxine Paetro has been straying from the concept of the Club, where the women work together to solve crimes. In this book, the ladies are all going in different directions with various plots.

Just like in Book 5, there are numerous plots: two killers and one set of kidnappers to pursue, a murder trial, a break-up, an out-of-town almost-fling (), and a surprise pregnancy.

(As a side note, being in this Club is quite perilous to one's health - . Although it's clearly absurd for so much violent crime to occur to such a small group of people, there's an almost cheerful aspect to the way the writers throw the characters into danger and death.)

So many different storylines are intertwined in one book, and I adored each and every one of them!

This particular book is the second installment in the series that came perilously close to making me shed tears. It was astonishingly easy to read, with a plethora of action-packed scenes that made it simply impossible to put down.

There were numerous elements in this book that truly took me by surprise, and I relished all of the unexpected twists and turns. It was yet another emotional rollercoaster ride!

I have decided to take a brief hiatus from this series to explore a couple of other books. However, I am eagerly anticipating delving into book 7 in the not-too-distant future!

I can't wait to see what new adventures and surprises await me in the next installment.

In the sixth book of the Women's Murder Club, the parallel hypotheses to be investigated are as follows:

1) The psychopathic Alfred Brinkley sets fire to a popular tourist ferry that made trips in the San Francisco Bay (among the victims is also the medical examiner Claire Washburn, a member of the club),

2) A man who is trying to finish a research he is writing but the noises of the apartment building do not allow him to have peace and it drives him crazy, so he takes matters into his own hands,

3) A series of children and dolls are abducted, the dolls are found murdered, but the children have disappeared without any ransom demand. Will Lindsay Boxer be able to respond to all these hypotheses?

The book takes place one month after the "Fifth Horseman" and I was somewhat satisfied overall, although the dynamic of the series has not yet reached the level of the first books. The individual hypotheses described are complete, with their twists and surprises, while the personal stories of the heroes progress a little further. The stories of the psychopathic killer and the abducted children are well-planned, with Alfred Brinkley taking up almost the entire story and through his story it is clearly emphasized how dangerous it is for someone to claim innocence due to schizophrenia. His case as a political move is taken on by Yuki Castellano for the first time after her appointment as an assistant district attorney and she gives a really tough fight. Will the killer be acquitted or convicted? And to what extent will he take advantage of this impression to cause more harm? How will Claire feel as a surviving victim, even though she learns a pleasant new thing? Who was the sixth target and what will it help when his subsequent death occurs?

The case of the missing children and their dead dolls kept me in a lot of suspense and made me angry when I learned what was really hidden behind this web. The reason for this "operation" showed the extreme brutality that a human can hide inside him. A well-organized gang that abducts innocent children, causing unbearable pain in the lives of their parents and turning their daily lives upside down forever.

In this book, Lindsay Boxer's desire is granted: she is demoted to a patrol officer so that she can devote more to what she really knows how to do and loves: to be on the street, to be part of the active action, far from offices and sedentary work. The club meets about twice, but more for new, gossip and news than for the current cases. Finally, some thoughtless actions of Lindsay help Joe to understand how much harm he is doing to the woman he loves with the distance that separates them and thus he makes some changes. Finally, I really wonder how all the characters have survived so far, since they constantly eat: donuts, cinnamon rolls, pizzas, sandwiches, chicken with curry, rice. We said, there is no Mediterranean diet in the United States, but everyone eats the same and at random hours? I wonder!

The "Sixth Target" is a relatively good thriller, full of hypotheses and personal developments of the members of the club, with escalating suspense and a surprise in the last pages. Therefore, I will continue with the next book to see how the characters will develop from now on.

The 6th Target by James Patterson and Maxine Paetro is the sixth installment in the captivating Women's Murder Club Mystery series.

Medical examiner Claire finds herself in a terrifying situation when she is shot at a ferry dock shooting. Meanwhile, at reporter Cindy's apartment, there are unexplained deaths that add to the mystery and suspense. To make matters worse, a young girl is abducted, leaving the Women's Murder Club with multiple cases to solve.

The story is fast-paced, filled with plenty of action and adventures that will keep readers on the edge of their seats. Lindsey, one of the main characters, requests a demotion, and her love life is in a state of flux, adding an interesting layer to her character.

What I truly love about this book is the strong friendships and unwavering support that the Women's Murder Club provides. It is heartwarming to see these women come together in the face of danger and mystery.

Overall, The 6th Target is an exciting book that will keep you reading until the very end, and leave you craving more from this thrilling series.

I really liked these books in the past. Now, I am once again delving into this exciting series. Lindsay Boxer, who works for the San Francisco police department, has now been promoted to Sergeant. Along with her good friends Yuki and Claire, they join forces to solve various crimes. They affectionately call themselves the Women's Murder Club. The latest case that has come their way is a shooting incident that took place on the Del Norte ferry. The convicted culprit is Fred Brinkley. He竟然shot six people, claiming that the voices in his head compelled him to do so. The big question now is whether pleading insanity will work in his favor. Tragically, one of the people who was shot was Claire and her son, Willie. This has added a personal touch to the case for the Women's Murder Club, making them even more determined to seek justice.

There's a shooting incident that takes place on a ferry.

This time, Claire Washburn, who is one of the members of the Women's Murder Club, unfortunately gets hit.

Our detective Lindsay Boxer is absolutely determined to have a hands-on involvement in this case.

Kids are mysteriously disappearing through bizarre kidnappings. It turns out that this situation is far more complex than just simple ransom demands. It calls for an in-depth investigation into the connections with kidnappings in other areas.

Lindsay also has some personal issues going on with her long-distance boyfriend Joe. However, there is a glimmer of hope that they might get resolved this time.

I have always been a big fan of this series as it is set in the vibrant city of San Francisco. But after reading about this shooting on the ferry, I'm not so sure I'll be eager to head over for a ferry ride any time soon!

It's a thrilling and suspenseful story that keeps you on the edge of your seat.

The characters are well-developed and the plot is full of twists and turns.

I can't wait to see what happens next in the lives of Lindsay and the Women's Murder Club.

This has got to be my favorite book in the series thus far.

So many events have taken place, and I really liked the fact that the main characters - Lindsay, Cindy, Claire, and Yuki - all had their roles to play in the culmination of those happenings. It was great to see how their stories intertwined and contributed to the overall plot.

The only aspect that rather irritated me was Lindsay's indecisiveness when it came to her relationship with Joe. Their relationship has been complicated from the very beginning, and she was well aware of that when she started dating him. Now that he is giving in to her demands, once again, she is unsure. It's really frustrating.

I absolutely loved the case involving the child killings. It was extremely interesting to follow the investigation and see how the characters were trying to solve it. I truly hoped that there would be updates on what happened and whether the children had been rescued. Fred was a very colorful character who added a lot to the plot. I thought he was really clever, and indeed he was. In the end, justice will be served, which is always a satisfying conclusion.

Now, it's time to move on to Book 7 and see what new adventures and mysteries await!

It Ain't Over 'Til the Crazy Dude Sings

I read this book many years ago, and it was truly a delight to revisit it through the audio format. I have always been captivated by the unique combination of fierceness and soft hearts that Lindsay Boxer and her closest female friends, Yuki Castellano, Cindy Thomas, and Claire Washburn, possess. This charming trait is one of the main reasons I have continued to read this series for so many years.

The other aspect that keeps drawing me back are the engaging relationships that extend beyond their quartet. Whether it's in a professional, personal, or casual acquaintance context, these relationships add depth and complexity to the story. Of course, their pursuit of justice in their respective career paths is also highly intriguing.

The story progresses through a series of crimes, each with its own brand of absurdity. As a parent, the case of Madison Tyler really hit home for me. Just the thought of it sends shivers down my spine.

I listened to the audio book while following along with the text. The narrator, Carolyn McCormick, is easy to listen to and does a great job. However, I do think it would have been even better if there was a male counterpart to assist her.

Overall, I rate the story 4 stars and the narration 4 stars. I listened at a speed of 1.7x.

A madman, armed with a gun, wreaks havoc on a ferry. He brutally kills 4 people and injures one of the ladies from the Women's Murder Club. After the heinous act, he flees the scene. Yuki Castellano, the club's newest member and a brilliant lawyer, makes a significant decision. Even though she is the second chair to the ADA prosecuting this case, when the ADA has a heart attack, Yuki has no alternative but to step up and take the podium to continue the prosecution. The public defender firmly contends that his client was insane at the time of the crime. But the question remains: was he truly insane, or is he just an excellent faker?

Meanwhile, Cindy has relocated to a new apartment building, only to discover that people are getting injured and losing their lives. It seems that yet another madman is on the loose. These women simply cannot seem to catch a break.

Lindsay (Boxer), on the other hand, is still in a relationship with Joe but has now decided to call it quits. Her reasons for this decision are not entirely clear, but it adds another layer of complexity to her already eventful life.

In this sixth installment of the Women's Murder Club series, Lindsay finds herself in a challenging position as she has to bring three distinct perpetrators to justice in completely unrelated cases.

The first culprit is a heartless individual who murders tenants (along with their beloved dogs) in his apartment building whenever they make excessive noise. It's a cruel and senseless act that leaves the residents in fear.

The second case involves the kidnapping of particularly gifted and attractive children. The thought of these innocent youngsters being snatched away from their families is truly horrifying.

The third assailant is a cunning one, who also appears to be legally insane. Lindsay has her work cut out for her as she tries to untangle the mysteries surrounding these cases.

In addition to the thrilling investigations, there are also some personal developments. Claire has a surprise announcement, which adds an element of excitement to the story. Meanwhile, Lindsay breaks up with Joe, her longtime FBI beau. But the question remains: is this breakup permanent?

Patterson is truly a master storyteller, almost incapable of producing an uninteresting read. I say "almost" because there was one instance where he may have given his co-author a bit too much freedom. Nevertheless, I absolutely loved this book and the entire series. It keeps me on the edge of my seat with every turn of the page.

Apart from one or two installments that I haven't entirely relished, the Women's Murder Club series is truly a great read. "The 6th Target" penned by James Patterson in collaboration with Maxine Paetro is a fast-paced, nail-biting thriller in the typical Patterson style. It features short, tense chapters that keep you on the edge of your seat. The excellent main storyline is complemented by smaller subplots that all neatly converge at the end. Over the years, I have amassed all the books in this series, but for some reason, I just never got around to reading them. However, I'm extremely glad that I've now begun. I truly feel as if I have a personal acquaintance with Lindsay Boxer and the girls. I'm eagerly looking forward to delving into the 7th book in the series and continuing this exciting literary journey.
