Phenomenal!!!

This is a word that truly captures the essence of something extraordinary. It describes events, achievements, or qualities that are simply outstanding and beyond the ordinary.

When we encounter something phenomenal, it has the power to leave us in awe and inspire us. It could be a scientific breakthrough that changes the way we understand the world, a remarkable performance by an athlete or artist, or a kind act of kindness that touches our hearts.

The word "phenomenal" implies a sense of greatness and significance. It makes us sit up and take notice, and it often becomes a topic of conversation and admiration.

In a world full of the ordinary, the phenomenal stands out and reminds us of the limitless potential that exists within us all. It encourages us to strive for excellence, to dream big, and to reach for the stars.

So, the next time you come across something that you find truly amazing, don't hesitate to use the word "phenomenal" to describe it. Because it is in these moments of encountering the phenomenal that we are reminded of the beauty and wonder that surrounds us.

SPOILERS

Characters in this story make THE most stupid decisions. It's truly mind-boggling.

Mourning seems to be skipped over and rushed. There's a scene where people are laughing at a charismatic guy in court who starts talking about killing someone, and the jury/court are also laughing? I find the characters' behaviors to be extremely unrealistic in general.

The last third of the book was just completely crazy. Cavello was a bad enough guy from the start, but the addition of child rape and baby burning felt so unnecessary. It seemed like it was just made to justify Pelisante's actions, but I already believed he was an obsessed cop without that.

Also, there are so many outdated'struggling actor' clichés with Andie. However, the pacing of the book was awesome. It felt like a page-turning, easy read, aside from the inauthentic human behavior and the pretty flat characters.

Overall, while the pacing was great, the flaws in the character development and the unrealistic behaviors really detracted from the overall enjoyment of the story.

I gave it 4 stars as I considered it one of the better Patterson novels I've read. I'd just finished 2 others, and this one was by far superior.

The plot involves an Italian mafia boss, truly nasty, on trial. An FBI agent in charge of crime gangs has been pursuing this guy for years. During the takedown, several FBI agents were killed.

At the beginning of the trial, we meet Andie, a single and attractive mom who doesn't want to be on the jury as she has a child. She does everything she can think of to get disqualified but is chosen anyway. When given the chance to get off the jury, she decides to stay. People are threatened, and then for the safety of the jury, they are put under guard at a hotel. The mafia-hired thugs come in and blow up the bus, killing everyone except Andie. Her son was on the bus as it was his birthday, and the FBI thought it would be nice for mother and son to be together.

Time passes, and the new trial starts. Nick, the FBI agent, stops by Andie's apartment and encourages her to attend the trial. Typical sparks fly. During the trial, the same hired thugs break the Mafia boss out of jail, and many people are killed. Nick promises Andie that he will get justice for her son and all the agents who have been killed.

He gets a clue but doesn't share it, and Andie and Nick decide to take justice into their own hands. Now the entire FBI, NYC police department, and Homeland security are on this case, but super sleuths Nick and Andie track down the thugs and eventually the mafia boss. However, I did not like the ending. I thought it was completely out of character for Andie.

This book gives the impression of being a courtroom thriller/action book.

It does indeed possess elements of both, yet not in sufficient measure to truly belong to either genre. It's not a remarkable book by any means, but rather makes for a pleasant, light read (definitely an improvement over Maximum Ride).

I am aware that every individual has their own unique writing style. However, I found Mr. Patterson's style to be rather bothersome. He frequently omits a great deal of detail, and some of his scenes simply seem haphazardly assembled.

If Mr. Patterson were to focus on elaborating scenes and give more thought to his characters and their actions, he would无疑成为 a better author. After all, quality should take precedence over quantity.

It was truly a page turner, and I can clearly understand why Patterson is regarded as a master of this genre.

This is my very first time reading one of his books, and I have a hunch that they might be a bit formulaic (if there is such a word). You know what I mean, right?

As the story progressed, it all became a bit predictable towards the end. However, it's also evident that it would make a great film. In fact, many of his books have been adapted into films, but I'm not sure if this particular one has.

Nevertheless, I will definitely read more books by him. Although there might be some cheesy parts, sometimes a bit of cheese can be quite enjoyable!

Honestly, I don't think the heroine's character would have done what she did in the end. But then again, it's fiction, so I just went with the flow and suspended my disbelief.

How can I say this is the best book of James Patterson's, when I've read so many of his works, almost all of them? Just two days ago, I read his latest one. However, I have to admit that it's not any better than this one, and this particular book is already 10 years old! This truly confirms that James Patterson is at the very top of the list of the best suspense writers in the world.

EXCELLENT

This book takes you on a thrilling journey all over the world. It begins in New York with Nick, the SAC in charge of the mob division. He might have considered giving up the title after two failed trials, but he has never once abandoned his pursuit. To be completely honest, I can't blame him in the slightest.

Once again, I wholeheartedly recommend this book. You'll find your heart racing, sitting on the edge of your seat, and cheering Nick on every step of the way. It's a captivating read that will keep you engaged from start to finish.

Judge and jury is an absolutely spellbinding thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. It doesn't get any better than this, and that's precisely what I thought as I turned the final page.

The narrative, which is expertly woven around a captivating plot, leaves no room for beating about the bush. Every sentence is concise and to the point, adding to the overall tension and excitement of the story.

The story begins with the arrest of Dominic Cavello, a powerful mafia don, by FBI agent Nick Pellisante. However, before his capture, Cavello manages to kill two of Nick's team members. During the trial, the bus transporting the jurors is bombed, resulting in the deaths of all but one juror, Andie DeGrasse. Tragically, Andie's 10-year-old son was also on the bus and was charred beyond recognition.

Cavello is then transferred to a maximum security prison, and another trial is scheduled to take place six months later, under unprecedented security measures. But despite all the precautions, Cavello manages to escape. The investigations quickly turn cold, but Nick refuses to give up. With the help of Andie, he works tirelessly to track down the man responsible for bombing the bus.

From their informant, they learn the location where Cavello is hiding. In a thrilling climax, Nick and Andie team up to take down the don once and for all. This superb book is a must-read for anyone who loves high voltage action and a gripping story.

Just meh.

This was my overall impression. Additionally, the audio was rather old. It contained a significant amount of what I would call “atmosphere” music.

To be honest, I really didn't like this kind of music. It didn't seem to add anything positive to the experience.

It was more of a distraction than anything else. Maybe if the audio had been updated or the music had been more to my taste, I would have had a different opinion.

But as it stands, it was just okay, nothing特别 outstanding or memorable.

I hope that in the future, improvements can be made to the audio to enhance the overall quality.

I don't really know! I would rate it 3 stars, maybe 3.5. Can I even give it a 3.25? I just finished reading Mr Mercedes by Stephen King. Then I began Finders Keepers (which has been excellent so far). About halfway through Finders Keepers, I needed a break and an easy read. And who could be an easier read than James Patterson?

Well, it was just okay. I constantly told myself "one more chapter". But when each chapter is only 1-3 pages long, it's very easy to say that. And before I knew it, I was already done with the book.

All in all, I can only say that... much like my feelings towards most of Patterson's books... it was just okay. It didn't really wow me or leave a lasting impression. It was a quick and easy read, but that's about it. Maybe I'm just not the right audience for Patterson's style of writing. But for those who enjoy fast-paced, light-hearted mysteries, this book might be a good choice.

This is a really good and easy read that offers a truly satisfying ending.

The story unfolds in a simple yet engaging way, making it accessible to a wide range of readers. The characters are well-developed, and you can't help but become invested in their lives and the outcome of their experiences.

As you progress through the pages, you'll find yourself drawn deeper into the narrative, eager to see how everything will turn out. And when you reach the end, you'll be pleasantly surprised by the resolution. It ties up all the loose ends neatly and leaves you with a sense of fulfillment.

Whether you're looking for a quick escape or a light-hearted read, this book is definitely worth checking out. It's a great choice for those who enjoy stories that are easy to follow and have a feel-good ending.
