It really sounds like a self-help book that is specifically designed for cats. The idea might seem quite interesting and perhaps even a bit novel. However, after giving it a try, I have to say that it's not helping me at all. I had high hopes when I first purchased it, thinking that it might offer some unique insights or useful tips. But unfortunately, it has fallen short of my expectations. The content seems rather generic and not really applicable to my situation. So, if you're thinking about buying this book, I would highly recommend that you don't. Save your money and look for something else that might actually be more beneficial.

This is #11 in this long-running fantasy cat-detective series. I'm extremely pleased to report that it's yet another winner.

There are numerous plot-summaries available nearby. So, I'll simply state that CPI Joe Grey, his girlfriend Dulcie, the charming young tattercoat Kit, and their humans are all in excellent form here. They are defending Molena Point, CA (a thinly-disguised Carmel) from the forces of evil.

They also enjoy eating rich food and fixing up their houses. Joe Grey now has an amazing tower lookout, and Kit acquires a delightful treehouse at the end of the story. Kit truly steals the show this time.

If you're new to the series, it would be advisable to go back to the earlier ones to catch up with our furry little detectives. It's fine rainy-day reading. I read this one with alternating cats-in-lap, including our own Joe Gray, a Russian Blue who's always on the case.

Overall, this installment in the series is a must-read for fans of the genre and those who love stories about clever cats and their adventures.

I have a deep love for these kinds of books. As a passionate cat lover, I find it truly enchanting when cats in the stories are given human characteristics. It's like opening a door to a magical world where these feline friends not only act like humans but also take on the exciting task of solving mysteries.

These books offer me a unique form of entertainment that is just plain fun. I can get lost in the pages, imagining the cats' adventures and how they use their wits and charm to crack the cases. It's a wonderful escape from reality and a chance to explore a world where the ordinary becomes extraordinary.

I have a great passion for observing the world from the viewpoint of animals. Works like "Chet and Bernie", "Traveller", and "Racing in the Rain" have truly opened my eyes to this fascinating perspective. However, when it comes to Murphy's work, it seems rather lackluster.

Murphy has essentially just placed a human inside a cat's body and endowed them with a few feline characteristics. The characters in this story feel as flat as cardboard, perhaps due to the fact that this is the 11th installment in a series.

The plot also leaves much to be desired, lacking the depth and excitement that one would expect from this genre. There are numerous other books out there that do a far better job of exploring the animal-human connection and creating engaging and memorable stories.

In conclusion, while I appreciate the attempt to view the world from an animal's perspective, Murphy's work fails to live up to the standards set by other great books in this genre.

I've been observing a few series that center around feline detectives.

Consequently, I made up my mind to give one a try in order to figure out what the allure of this genre is.

Surprisingly, it turned out to be quite entertaining.

Maybe if I were extremely passionate about cats, I would have liked it even more.

I really appreciated the way the cats were characterized.

Their behavior and how they dealt with situations that demanded them to act like ordinary felines were very engaging.

Moreover, the mystery within the series unfolded in a rather nice and smooth manner.

It kept me hooked and eager to find out what would happen next.

Overall, it was a pleasant viewing experience that introduced me to a new and interesting genre.

Even though I'm not a die-hard cat lover, I still found myself enjoying the adventures of these feline detectives.

Perhaps I'll explore more series within this genre to see if there are any hidden gems waiting for me.

I am truly enamored with the Joe Grey mystery books.

It's such a delight to step into a world where cats can talk. As I read, I often find myself pondering what my own dogs and cats would say if they could communicate. One of the cats in my family is an actual pet, and currently, we are staying with people who have a plethora of cats.

In this particular book, Joe Grey finds himself in a rather precarious situation. He is faced with a woman from his and Clyde's past, and to make matters worse, a dear friend is on the verge of dying in the house.

On top of all that, it appears that a gang from L.A. has arrived in Molena Point. Now, Joe and his feline friends are on the case, determined to figure out what this gang is up to and how to safeguard the humans they cherish.

However, they soon discover that someone is trapping cats like them. This adds an interesting and unexpected twist to the story.

Can Joe, Dulcie, and Kit come to the rescue and save the day for both humans and cats alike?

This book has its fair share of sad moments, which are interspersed with some humorous parts. But overall, it has a fast pace that keeps you on the edge of your seat, constantly trying to anticipate what will happen next.

Moreover, it makes you question what people are truly up to.

The characters are well-developed and complex, with their own unique personalities and motives. You can't help but become invested in their lives and root for them as they face various challenges and obstacles.

The plot is full of twists and turns, keeping you on the edge of your seat and guessing what will happen next. Shirley has a way of creating tension and suspense that is truly remarkable.

These items were all available for sale at Amazon, and I decided to pick up a couple of them.

To be honest, I wasn't entirely sure what I was expecting when I made the purchase. However, what I got was not humanized cats that could actually talk.

The mystery aspect and the rest of the book were okay, but they didn't really wow me.

As a result, I don't think I'll be actively seeking out more of these in the future.

I guess it was an interesting enough experience, but it didn't leave a lasting impression on me.

Maybe I'll have better luck with my next Amazon purchase.
