I Listen to the Joe Gray books while I take my daily walk. They are really fun and have just the right amount of twists and turns to keep me engaged with the story as I walk along. It's a great way to pass the time and enjoy some entertainment.

The main reason I gave a 3 star rating is because unfortunately, the reader has changed. His reading style didn't seem to fit the characters or the series as well as the previous reader. It took some getting used to and didn't feel quite right. However, I haven't looked at future books yet. If it's the same guy, I guess I'll have to try and get used to his style over time.

I also find the difference in pronunciation of place names a bit disconcerting. It would be nice if there could have been some consistency between readers in this regard. It can sometimes pull me out of the story when I hear a place name pronounced differently than I'm used to. But overall, despite these issues, I still enjoy listening to the Joe Gray books during my walks.

I made two attempts, stopped, gave it a few days, and then tried again because I have such a great affection for the characters. However, the new reader is male and clearly did not even make an effort to keep the characters consistent with the previous reader. What a pity! I really wanted to finish it and read all of these books. I looked ahead to see if the reader would change again, but it's the same guy. That's too bad. I don't have the time to read physical books; I listen to audio while I'm working. Now I highly doubt that I'll ever finish this series.
