He has always been a favorite. It's kinda funny how it came to be that he is a family favorite. He was a college professor at Amherst College in Massachusetts when my grandpa was in school. Well, he taught my grandfather. How many people can say that? It's truly a unique and special connection. My grandfather always spoke highly of him, and that admiration has been passed down through the generations. We all have a certain respect and fondness for this professor, even though we may not have known him personally. His influence on my grandfather's life has had a ripple effect throughout our family. It's a story that we love to tell and share, and it always brings a smile to our faces.

I have cherished Frost's poems for numerous years.

His works such as "Birches," with its vivid description of the birch trees bending and swaying,仿佛将读者带入了一个宁静而又充满诗意的乡村世界.

"A Road Not Taken" is another masterpiece that makes people think about the choices in life. I have even sung a version of this poem, which added a different charm to my understanding of it.

"Time to Talk" is also among my favorites. It portrays the simple yet precious moments of communication between people.

These poems are not only beautiful in language but also profound in meaning, making them timeless classics that I will always love and appreciate.

I read this entire collection of Frost poems in October,

in search of one with a particular theme. My reading took about 6 straight hours.

During this time, I not only managed to find what I was searching for, but also gained a new appreciation and understanding of the skills and talent of Mr. Robert Frost.

His seemingly simple use of language often masks deep insight and emotion. The moods in his poems range from pathos, through simple-but-deep natural contemplation, to surprising (at least to me) bursts of humor.

I truly enjoyed my tour of Frost's mind more than I initially thought I would. Although I am not a big poetry buff and only have a few favorites, this collection really impressed me.

It made me realize the power and beauty that can be found in the written word when crafted by a master like Frost.

I will definitely be returning to this collection in the future to explore more of his works and gain further insights.

Overall, it was a wonderful and enlightening experience.

He expertly articulates and captures those feelings inspired in us as children.

Wonderment and Beauty, Innocence, and Joyfulness are vividly brought to life. But also, and equally importantly, Loneliness, Isolation, and Desperation are not overlooked. There is a balance between Wisdom and Naivety.

Reading Frost is like embarking on a journey across New England with two distinct personalities. The first incarnation is a small, enthusiastic, and expressive child, completely awe-struck by the simple beauty of the landscape and the changing seasons as he passes them by. Yearning to run ahead and spy what lies beyond the next bend, he is filled with curiosity and excitement.

The second is a wiser and well-traveled grandfatherly type. He knows better than to openly advise against taking the short cut. Instead, in a roundabout way, he counsels against the idea, lest we miss the whole point of taking the back roads in the first place.

(If the above was confusing, I apologize. It's late, and I'm trying to pay homage to my favorite philosopher/poet.

I find it's like trying to explain why water tastes good when you've just crossed the Sahara. It should be obvious to all, but then what if the person has no idea what the Sahara is?)

Robert Frost is a renowned poet who has penned some truly remarkable and thought-provoking poems.

Almost everyone is familiar with masterpieces like "Stopping by the Woods on a Snowy Evening" or "The Road Not Taken". However, one of my absolute favorites among his works is "Desert Places".

The last verse of this poem is particularly captivating:

"They cannot scare me with their empty spaces
Between stars--on stars where no human race is.
I have it in me so much nearer home
To scare myself with my own desert places."

This verse delves deep into the human psyche, exploring the idea that our greatest fears often lie within us. Frost suggests that the vast and empty spaces of the universe may seem intimidating, but it is the desolate places within our own hearts and minds that truly have the power to frighten us.

It makes us reflect on the inner landscapes we carry, the孤独 and the uncertainties that lurk within. Frost's words remind us that we must confront these desert places within ourselves in order to find true courage and understanding.

His poetry has the ability to touch our souls and make us see the world in a new light, and "Desert Places" is no exception.

The rhythm and flow of his verses are so captivating that I find myself getting lost in them, completely immersed in the magical realm he creates. I can't help but feel a sense of inspiration and wonder every time I read his poetry, and I know that it will continue to touch my heart and soul for many years to come.

Poetry is a form of art that is truly difficult to claim as finished.

It has the power to captivate readers and draw them in, inviting them to explore its depths again and again.

Each reading can reveal new layers of meaning, emotions, and beauty.

My last book of 2016 was a collection of poems that I poured my heart and soul into.

I spent countless hours crafting each line, carefully choosing words that would convey the exact essence I wanted to express.

But even after months of work, I still felt that there was more to discover within those pages.

I hope that readers will take the time to read and reread my poems, allowing themselves to be沉浸 in the world I have created.

Maybe they will find something new each time, or maybe they will simply enjoy the beauty of the language.

Either way, I believe that poetry is a gift that keeps on giving, and I am honored to share my work with the world.

Volumes such as Mountain Interval and New Hampshire are sufficient for the average reader.

These two volumes read like "greatest hits" collections, presenting a selection of the author's most notable works.

In contrast, The Poetry offers a whole world for the reader to immerse in.

There are clearly outstanding poems, like "Birches" and "Directive", which I particularly love.

However, even the lesser-known poems become more appreciable when considered as part of the entire collection.

The whole body of work creates a cohesive and rich literary experience, allowing the reader to explore different themes, styles, and emotions.

Whether one is a casual reader or a poetry enthusiast, these volumes have something to offer, inviting us to discover the beauty and depth of the poet's words.

While the works of Robert Frost are striking, unique, and scattered with profound verse, I just couldn't jive with you, Mr. Frost.

I flipped through this book, as I'm not about to read 600 pages of random Robert Frost. So, I began by checking out all the classic Frost poems, such as "The Road Not Taken", "Fire and Ice", "Dust of Snow", and "Birches". They are quite pretty. In fact, I enjoyed a few of them. I thought they were unique and beautiful, especially "Death of a Hired Man" and "A Considerable Speck".

While reading through these, I learned two things. Firstly, I discovered where hipsters get excerpts of their tattoos from. Secondly, I realized that I'm not a huge fan of the poetry of Robert Frost, but I do find the man himself rather interesting.

Not to say that while reading, I didn't come across a few poems that reached out to me. However, I just can't justify a few poems or a line here and there as classifying myself as a Frost Fan. I understand the appeal though.

On the page where there was an interesting 'piece', I pasted colorful papers.

The result looks quite funny, but at least I will be able to easily find my favorites <3.

It was a fun little activity that added some color and personality to the page.

I enjoyed choosing the different papers and arranging them in a way that I thought looked good.

Now, whenever I look at that page, it brings a smile to my face.

It's the little things like this that can make a big difference in our daily lives.

Whether it's decorating a page, or doing something else creative, it's important to take the time to do things that make us happy.

So, the next time you see an interesting 'piece' on a page, why not try adding some colorful papers of your own and see what kind of result you get?

You might be surprised at how much fun it can be!
