Perhaps I am simply not a person who has a natural affinity for poetry. I derived enjoyment from very few poems in this collection. The number of poems that I liked was only slightly greater than that, and the number that I actually understood was only a few more than the number I liked.

The poems that I understood the most, and seemingly the very few that effectively communicated their purpose and meaning to me, coincidentally include the three or four that other reviewers have listed as their favorites. I suppose they were mine as well. Beyond those particular poems, Frost's body of work leaves me pondering why there is so much commotion and acclaim.

I offer my apologies to the hordes of "Frost Lovers" scattered everywhere. It's not that I don't respect Frost's talent; it's just that his poetry doesn't seem to resonate deeply with me on a personal level. I may be missing something, but for now, I remain somewhat perplexed by the widespread adoration for his work.

Robert Frost is, without a doubt, my all-time favorite poet.

This remarkable collection of poems has the power to deeply touch the hearts of every reader who comes across it.

Among his works, some of my personal favorites are his most renowned poems: "Stopping By Woods on a Snowy Evening," "The Road Not Taken," "Birches," and "Mending Wall," all of which are conveniently included in this very book.

Surprisingly, some literary critics tend to dismiss Frost as being overly simple. However, if readers invest the time to explore his writing in-depth, they will discover that he is not only passionate about nature but also about life, faith, religion, and to a certain extent, politics.

He is a poet whose works simply must be read by anyone who holds a deep appreciation for great literary masterpieces. His words have the ability to transport readers to different worlds, make them reflect on life's choices, and find beauty in the simplest of things.

Frost's poetry is a treasure trove that awaits discovery by those with an open heart and a love for the written word.

Robert Frost's poetry is truly a wonder.

His words paint vivid pictures in our minds, like the lovely, dark and deep woods he describes.

Reading his poems is like engaging in a magical dance in the woods on a Saturday morning, while sipping on peppermint hot chocolate and listening to our favorite tunes all at once.

His thoughts on the end of the world, with some saying it will be in fire and others in ice, make us reflect on the power of desire and hate.

Poetry, as Frost shows us, is a magical thing that nourishes our mind, heart, and soul.

It's like an old friend, a good song, love, and nature all rolled into one.

His famous lines about taking the road less traveled have become an inspiration for many.

Some of his poems are darker, like the one about his sorrow finding beauty in the autumn rain and the withered tree.

But no matter the tone, his work is equally beautiful.

Robert Frost's poetry continues to inspire and endure, leaving a lasting impact on generations of readers.

The woods are lovely, dark and deep.
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

Reading Robert Frost is like dancing in the woods on a saturday morning, drinking peppermint hot chocolate and listening to your favorite music all rolled into one.

Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To know that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.

Poetry is so magical. It feeds the mind, heart and soul. It's like an old friend. A good song. Love. Nature.

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Pure feel-good escapism.

Some are darker than others, but equally beautiful.

My Sorrow, when she's here with me,
Thinks these dark days of autumn rain
Are beautiful as days can be;
She loves the bare, the withered tree;
She walks the sodden pasture lane.

I recently delved into this collection of Robert Frost's poems. It was a truly enchanting experience. As I read, I couldn't help but be inspired to write a haiku in reaction to his remarkable work. Here it is:

A LOST WRITER

I don’t know these woods—

what crossroad to travel now—

lead me there, poet.

And if you haven't yet had the pleasure of reading my new mature YA novel, BEFORE MY EYES, I highly encourage you to consider it now. There is a beautiful thread of poetry woven throughout its pages, adding an extra layer of depth and beauty to the story. You can find it at Before My Eyes. I truly believe you will love it as much as I do.
