Quick read with all the heat decided a Christmas book might be nice and this one was.

I truly believed that this served as a wonderful conclusion to the 'Davis Landing' series. We were first introduced to Gabi in Tim and Dawn's story, and I took an immediate liking to her back then. It was a delight to witness her shine as she strived to be a great friend to Jeremy.

Surprisingly, I ended up liking Jeremy more than I initially anticipated. I must confess that earlier in the series, when he took off in an attempt to locate his grandparents, I was a little frustrated with him. However, getting to 'hear' his side of the story provided a different perspective than I had initially thought. I really liked that we got to see his thought process regarding his return to fellowship, not only with his father Wallace but also with God.

The 'whodunnit' aspect of the entire series had been strongly hinted at, if not explicitly stated. Nevertheless, I found myself eager to understand more of the WHY behind the blackmailing. Oh well, it wasn't significant enough to deduct a star from the rating or anything.

Although I did enjoy Gabi and Jeremy as a couple, the romance progressed at an alarmingly fast pace for my taste. Enough with the insta-love already! (lol) Overall, I would rate this book 3.5 stars.

I truly had a great affection for this series, and this particular book as well.

However, I couldn't help but wonder why Justine didn't have a book dedicated solely to her story.

Justine seems to be such an interesting and complex character, with her own unique set of experiences and emotions.

Her presence in the series adds depth and dimension, and I feel that her story could have been explored in much greater detail.

Perhaps there are plans to give Justine her own book in the future, but for now, I can only hope and imagine what her story might be like.

It would be fascinating to see how her character develops and how her relationships with the other characters evolve.

Overall, while I love this series and this book, I can't help but feel a bit disappointed that Justine's story has not yet been fully told.
