Jamie and Jeremy <3333333333333333333. Their love makes my heart flutter forever! Forever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What truly appealed to me about this book (aside from, well, everything) was the significant focus on Jaime coming to terms with herself, her position in the supernatural community, and her own powers. I believe anyone who spends a considerable amount of time around Elena, Paige, Savannah, and even Cassandra would have concerns about their usefulness and what they can truly contribute to any sort of investigation. It's wonderful to see Jaime realizing that what she does is simply different, yet no less powerful or relevant in its own way than anyone else's.

I was also extremely interested in Jaime and Jeremy working to figure out how their relationship would function within their individual lives, especially Jeremy's. I love that Jaime truly accepts that he is the Alpha and that for many things, the Pack will always come first. It doesn't bother her (if anything, it bothers Jeremy). I really enjoyed observing the way being the Alpha of the Pack has influenced Jeremy's life and his decision to engage in a serious relationship, as well as the way he resents always being protected.

I keep returning to the concept of supernatural evolution because it's the overarching theme that really stands out to me on this reread. The series begins with a tight focus on Werewolves and then expands outward so significantly. As the series evolves, so do the races within it, and I'm truly fascinated by the ideas that were first introduced in Stolen and are still relevant. Not only do we see this explicitly in this book with the magical evolution of humans, but it's also present more subtly when it comes to cultural evolution. Before Jeremy was Alpha, the Pack was dominated by males. They even stole babies from mothers! And the men were discouraged from forming lasting relationships. All of that changed with Elena (and Clay), allowing werewolves to evolve as a full-blooded species and also enabling the other male werewolves to examine their lives and choices. We saw it in Broken with Nick questioning what he's doing with his life, and we see it here with Jeremy, allowing himself to have a real spouse and partner. I am endlessly fascinated by this, and I would love to read something like the Werewolf Legacy that details the history of the Pack for the next three to four generations.

ANYWAY. Besides all that profound stuff, can we discuss that sex scene because I need a moment.

That balcony scene, isn't it amazing?

This reread has been a truly enriching experience. It has allowed me to delve deeper into the characters and their relationships, as well as to appreciate the overarching themes of the series even more. The evolution of the supernatural world and the characters within it is a captivating aspect that keeps drawing me back. I can't wait to see what further developments and revelations await in future installments.

I am not quite sure what to say about this book.

On the one hand, I liked pretty much all the characters. It goes without saying that Jeremy is an A+ for me. Jaime was... well, I don't even know. She was likeable enough and smart enough, and yet there were moments when I wanted to shake her and say, "Ma'am, be serious. You are 44 years old, not 4 years old." So I dunno. The magic - necromancy and the backdrop (a TV show with spiritualists and ghost hunters), and the human-sacrificing magic group... I dunno. I didn't dislike any of these elements, nor was I even squicked out. But I just... I dunno.

So yeah. It was a good book, I enjoyed it, and have no qualms about returning to it sometime(s), and probably will. However, my feelings and thoughts haven't quite settled.

I do wish I had seen more of Jeremy/his perspective, though. But this was Jaime's story to tell, and not his. Ah well. Maybe in future installments, there will be more insights into Jeremy's character and his role in the overall plot. For now, I'll just have to be content with what I've read and look forward to seeing where the story goes from here.

Jamie is engaged in filming a TV special. During the process, she stumbles upon a necromancer mystery.

There are ghosts of children who cannot be reached in the normal way.

What I truly enjoyed about this story was Jamie putting Angel in her place. It was quite satisfying to see. Also, the relationship between Jamie and Jeremy has been developing slowly through several previous books, and it's always interesting to follow. And of course, there's Hope!

However, there are a few aspects that could have been better. It was rather strange to see the villain's point of view without initially knowing who they were. It made it a bit confusing at times. Additionally, Jamie was overly eager to prove herself, which led her to do some stupid things. This kind of behavior might make more sense for a 20-year-old, but not so much for a 40-year-old.

Overall, the story had its亮点 and areas that could use some improvement.

The book had the potential to be truly great.

It would have been a lot more enjoyable if it was 100 pages shorter. The excessive length made it a bit of a slog at times.

And the characters weren't so similar. They all seemed to blend together, lacking distinctiveness and individuality.

The premise was so exciting. It had all the makings of a thrilling read. So I'm surprised I didn't enjoy this as much as I thought I would.

Perhaps with some tighter editing and more developed characters, this could have been a five-star book. But as it stands, it falls a bit short of expectations.

No Human’s Involved – Women of the Otherworld #7

For numerous reasons, this installment of the series was my absolute favorite. I believe part of it stems from the fact that in many of these books, the couples seem to get together rather abruptly, with a simple 'wham'. To be honest, while I have a deep love for the Otherworld series, there are a few couples that left me extremely bored. There was no angst, no build-up, nothing to really engage my interest. However, Jaime and Jeremy are a different story. Their relationship has been developing over several books, and this build-up makes all the difference. Jeremy is so incredibly stoic that we don't get to see much of his true self until this book. When he finally lets his guard down with Jaime, we learn more about him in this one book than we did in the previous six. It's incredibly sexy. And when the two of them are together, they're just downright hot!

The plot itself was also outstanding. Kelley Armstrong is a highly talented storyteller.

I've read this book several times, and although it's been a while since my last reading, I know I'll return to it many more times. I truly hope we get to see more of this couple in the future. And if you love Jaime and Jeremy as much as I do, make sure you check out the story 'Kitsungari' in the Men of the Otherworld anthology.

I NEED MORE JAIME AND JEREMY.

That overly enthusiastic reaction aside, I truly adored the emotional plot in this installment. It was an absolute delight to witness Jeremy outside the pack, charming and wooing our dear Jaime.

The supernatural plot, too, held more allure for me than in the previous book. It served as a great introduction for Hope and Karl, adding new dimensions to the story.

However, I NEED MORE JAIME AND JEREMY dating times. Oh my goodness, I loved them to an excessive degree in this one. Their interactions were so sweet and endearing, leaving me craving more of their romantic moments together.

I can't wait to see how their relationship develops further and what adventures await them in the future.

From the previous book, Jamie is deeply involved in dealing with zombies.

This book mainly focuses on Jamie and her exciting adventures. However, when it comes to her adventures related to ghosts or spirit possession, I have to say that they seem rather bland in comparison to those of Elena, Paige, and Eve. Their experiences in this regard are often more thrilling and full of unexpected twists.

On the other hand, I did truly love the aspect of how Jeremey is drawn to Jamie. His infatuation for her is expressed in a very charming and endearing way. It adds a nice touch of romance to the story and makes Jeremey's character more interesting.

Overall, while the book has its亮点, there are also some areas that could be improved to make Jamie's adventures more engaging and on par with those of the other characters.

I have a deep affection for all of Kelley Armstrong's books that revolve around the Women of the Otherworld. This particular story centers on Jamie Vegas, the necromancer. She finds herself in a house along with two other individuals who are also believed to be necromancers. Their purpose there is to conduct various séances related to famous people who were murdered, with the focus leading up to Marilyn Monroe.

During her time in the house, Jamie encounters ghosts but unfortunately, she is unable to communicate with them, and vice versa. Later on, she discovers that the ghosts she has been unsuccessful in communicating with are those of children. With the assistance of Eve and Jeremy, they manage to find that one of the kids' remains is at the house, specifically in the garden where the show is being produced. They also obtain the name of the person responsible for this. Jamie is further aided by Hope, who leads them to a group of humans who practice human magic through human sacrifice. However, one of the members of this group has inherited demon blood down the line. What they don't initially know is that one of the people responsible for the child murders is within the group that Hope took Jamie and Jeremy to in order to assist in finding these individuals. This group is supposed to be in the business of searching for people who take advantage of others, supposedly through supernatural means (con-jobs). But in reality, it is this very group that is carrying out the murders and also seeking individuals who could be of help to them in their human magic.

The book contains chapters that solely focus on the activities of the group, led by the ringleader. In between this thrilling story, we witness a deeper relationship budding between Jamie and Jeremy as they both confess their feelings for one another. There are several nice scenes, and then there is one scene that is both funny, sexy, and romantic. Despite Jeremy's responsibilities and Jamie's career, they both decide to give their relationship a try. They truly make a cute couple.

As is always the case with Kelley Armstrong's books, this one is filled with non-stop action, adventure, and romance in certain areas. I wholeheartedly recommend reading it.

One of my other favorite werewolves, aside from Elena, Clay, Nick, Derek, and all the other guys, is North American Pack Alpha Jeremy Danvers. Finally, he gets to let loose when he travels to Hollywood to join Necromancer Jaime Vegas as she films a TV special.

With Jaime as the narrator, the two of them assist in righting some serious wrongs and ultimately take the next step in the relationship they've been skirting around for the past four years.

One interesting aspect I've noticed in Jaime's character is that she was initially depicted as the quintessential party girl. She brings home guys she doesn't know, can effortlessly play the ditzy, air-headed celebrity, and yet is intelligent enough to understand when not to push a relationship with Jeremy because he isn't mentally prepared for something long-term. Kelley Armstrong did an excellent job of juxtaposing these two sides of her.

Jaime may not be the smartest, fastest, or deadliest of the Supernaturals, but she wields a power that can be terrifying if not moderated by her inherent morality.

This is the seventh book in this captivating series, and it marks the first time the spotlight shines on Jaime, the renowned celebrity necromancer. Jaime has been a supporting character in several of the previous installments, and from those books, we are aware that she harbors a slight crush on Jeremy, the alpha of the werewolf pack.

Although this is the first book to feature Jaime as the main protagonist, it cannot be considered a stand-alone. There is an abundance of backstory that has unfolded in the previous books. To fully appreciate this story, I highly recommend reading the series in the correct order. This way, you can gain a comprehensive understanding of the complex dynamics between all the characters.

In this book, Jaime secures a job in L.A. on a television show that focuses on spiritualist mediums attempting to communicate with the dead. However, Jaime is the real thing, and it quickly becomes evident that there are spirits present in the house where the show is being filmed, and they are in desperate need of her help.

Jeremy has also made his way to L.A. to assist Jaime in her investigation. It was truly a delight to see the usually reserved and uptight Jeremy let loose a little. He is a mysterious character, difficult to decipher, so it was fascinating to see more of him as a central figure and witness him step away from his responsibilities as the alpha of the pack.

I devoured this book, perhaps even faster than any of the other books in this series that I have read thus far. I simply could not put it down. While Jaime may not be my favorite heroine in this series, I am still very fond of her, and I found her story to be incredibly gripping.

I am eagerly anticipating where this series will lead. I have developed a real affinity for this group of paranormals, and the author's storytelling is truly addictive.

At last! I feel as if I have been patiently waiting for a book centered around Jeremy and Jaime for an eternity. It's a relief that I'm reading this series long after all the installments have been published. Waiting a year between each book would truly be torture. When Jaime began a TV shoot in Los Angeles, the last thing she anticipated was to be haunted. As a necromancer who earns a living as a celebrity psychic, she has some knowledge about ghosts. However, these particular ghosts are behaving abnormally. Determined to uncover the truth behind what's happening before more people meet their demise, Jaime commences her investigation. But she's not alone. Jeremy, the alpha of the werewolves and the man Jaime hasn't been able to stop thinking about for the past few years, just so happens to be visiting. And she hopes that protecting her isn't the only thing on his agenda.

As I mentioned earlier, I've been longing for this book for what seems like forever. Jaime, usually so self-assured and outrageous, transforms into a blushing, clumsy teenager whenever Jeremy is around. Frankly, it's utterly adorable, and I've been eagerly anticipating seeing where this will lead. Well, it led to "No Humans Involved," yet another fantastic book from Kelley Armstrong. It was filled with action and excitement, along with all the romance I've been yearning for.

What I truly adored about this book was the opportunity to get to know Jeremy and Jaime on a deeper level. Jeremy, the alpha of the werewolves, is almost as enigmatic as the Sphinx. You never quite know what he's thinking, and unlike the other temperamental werewolves, he never loses control and keeps his thoughts and emotions tightly guarded. Jaime, on the other hand, is more outgoing. She's desperate to take control of her own destiny and prove that she's not just a damsel in distress but can also do some rescuing of her own. I loved witnessing these two截然不同的 personalities come together as Jeremy supports Jaime during her investigation of the ghosts.

We're also introduced to some new characters. Hope, the half-demon journalist, and Karl, the werewolf (whom we briefly saw in "Bitten" as the villain but haven't seen since). I believe they are the focus of the next book, and I can't wait to get my hands on it. Together, they are investigating the strange ghosts that Jaime has discovered, which leads them to some very unexpected places, including a BDSM dungeon. I thoroughly enjoyed the story and the hunt as they tracked down the culprits. It made for a fast-paced and captivating read.

Another winner in this series, I highly recommend that you give it a try. It's a series that needs to be read in order as Kelley Armstrong does an outstanding job of构建 her world through each of her books, and you'll fully benefit from getting to know her characters. Bring on book eight!
