Every single aspect of this book was absolutely delicious to me. And Jaime/Jeremy!!!! was without a doubt the most crucial element. THEY DONE BONED, Y'ALL. Here we have fully grown adults engaging in sexual activities and openly discussing their relationship! It's truly a remarkable thing.

Not only that, but also the journey of Jaime coming into her powers and trying to figure out her place within the council and the world at large. It was just so incredibly good. I would happily take eight more books like this one.

The story was engaging from start to finish, with well-developed characters and a plot that kept me on the edge of my seat. I can't wait to see what else the author has in store for us.

Overall, this book was a definite winner and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great read.

This particular book was significantly better than Bitten. The narrative in this one flowed much more smoothly. There were no more of those frustratingly stupid decisions that often marred the reading experience in the previous book.

However, I must admit that I really don't have a whole lot to say about it. It was just okay. It didn't really stand out in any remarkable way. I have a feeling that in a couple of months' time, I probably won't really recall much of anything about it. It's one of those books that you read, enjoy to a certain extent while you're in the midst of it, but then it kind of fades from your memory as time passes.

Maybe it lacked that certain something, that special spark that would have made it truly memorable. Or perhaps it was just that I was in a different frame of mind when I read it. Either way, it was an average read for me.

No Humans Involved

Jamie Vegas, a well-known professional medium and secret necromancer, decides to take part in a new reality show that aims to summon the spirit of Marilyn Monroe. However, things quickly spiral out of control when she is bombarded by numerous unruly ghosts who are desperate to communicate but strangely unable to do so. To assist them, Jamie must utilize all of her resources, especially that of the alpha-werewolf, Jeremy Danvers, and come to terms with the true essence of her powerful abilities.

The anticipation for Jamie and Jeremy's book had me extremely eager to delve into their story. In some aspects, it meets expectations, but in others, it disappoints.

Although Jamie and Jeremy's romance has been evolving over the past few books, I had the impression that they were not yet at a stage where they were comfortable enough with each other to enter into a relationship. So, it was rather odd to discover that Jeremy was traveling to Los Angeles to spend time with Jamie. Had I missed a prequel novella to this book?

Nonetheless, once Jamie and Jeremy are together, the chemistry is palpable, and they share several highly intimate scenes. Regrettably, Armstrong opts to fade to black just as things are getting really intense.

The plot centered around a cult-like group engaged in human sacrifice to acquire magical abilities holds great promise. However, Jamie's journey to uncover the truth takes so many detours that the story becomes overly long and loses its momentum. There seems to be no real need to include so many scenes featuring the heroines from the previous books. The only possible conclusion is that Armstrong is promoting other stories to new readers.

Despite these flaws, the climax and resolution are thrilling and satisfying. Additionally, the insights into Jeremy's family history and the side stories about the various ghosts that Jamie encounters throughout the narrative are a亮点.

In conclusion, it is an enjoyable installment in the series, but I had higher hopes for Jamie and Jeremy's romance.

Picking up a 'Women of the Otherworld' novel is an absolute delight. It's as if I'm slipping on my favorite pair of cozy slippers.

The characters are so familiar and vividly drawn that I can effortlessly immerse myself back into the enchanting world that Kelley Armstrong has masterfully crafted, as if I've never departed.

This particular installment takes us on a particularly dark and spine-chilling journey with necromancer Jamie Vegas. She enlists the help of some familiar faces, who we've come to know and love, and also introduces some new and intriguing characters.

The story unfolds on a TV set where Jamie is filming a program about seances. As problems start to arise, the plot thickens and keeps the reader on the edge of their seat.

I truly love this story and the characters. They are so well-developed and engaging that I can't help but be completely invested in their lives and adventures.

It's another amazing addition to the 'Women of the Otherworld' series.

There's not much to say except that this is by Kelley Armstrong. It's true that there's nothing new under the sun, but at least the level remains the same.
Sometimes it's nice to be able to be proud of an urban series. We know what to expect and we know what we'll read. There are no bad surprises. It's a "safe read" so to speak!
Briefly, I liked that the story focuses on Jaime and Jeremy and the background plot holds up.
It was a good time!
Overall, Kelley Armstrong has once again delivered a solid installment in this urban series. The characters are well-developed and the story keeps you engaged from start to finish. While it may not be the most groundbreaking or original, it provides an enjoyable escape into a world of supernatural intrigue. If you're a fan of the genre or of Armstrong's previous work, you're sure to enjoy this latest offering.

I first read this book sometime in 2008/2009.

And then I reread it in September 2016.

It remains one of my absolute favourites of the series. I have a deep love for Jamie. I also love the relationship between Jamie and Jeremy.

The plot of the reality TV/ghost hunting show is truly outstanding. It grabs your attention from the very beginning and keeps you hooked until the end.

The characters are well-developed and the story is full of twists and turns that keep you on the edge of your seat.

I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a good mystery or a thrilling read. It's definitely one that you won't want to miss.

I had the idea that an Otherworld story featuring Jaime, a genuine necromancer, collaborating with fake celebrity spiritualists or necromancers would be highly entertaining. And indeed, that aspect of it was quite enjoyable. The part that centered around her and Jeremy finally sorting out their issues and getting their act together was also great fun.

However, the ritual sacrifice of children <----- was anything but fun. Seriously, it's about time to stop killing kids. It has become tiresome and repetitive. There are so many other interesting and engaging storylines that could be explored without resorting to such a disturbing and overused trope. It would be refreshing to see a different approach in future installments of the Otherworld series. Maybe focus on the relationships between the characters, or their individual growth and development. There are endless possibilities, and it's time to move away from the tired and predictable theme of child sacrifice.

Out of all the supernatural beings such as vampires, werewolves, and demons, necromancers are truly my favorite! I have always been extremely intrigued by ghosts, and I firmly believe that they might be real. Naturally, necromancers hold a great deal of interest for me. I truly enjoyed this book.

In this seventh novel of the Women of the Otherworld series, we follow Jamie Vegas as she endeavors to free ghosts that are trapped between worlds. I adored Jamie's story and her abilities. Moreover, her relationship with Jeremy is undeniably passionate. I think they form a wonderful couple. Jamie is an incredibly interesting character. I have always liked her, and in this novel, we get to know her on a much deeper level. We also learn more about the enigmatic Jeremy. I didn't miss Elena and Clay in this book as I did in the other novels not narrated by Elena. I'm glad that their story is being left alone for the time being.

The plot was quite good. Although it wasn't something that would keep me up reading for hours on end, it was still interesting and well-balanced. We got to see a lot of the other characters, which was great fun. The ending was also very satisfying. I would highly recommend this series to any fan of Armstrong's work.

\\"No Humans Involved\\", written by Kelley Armstrong, is an incredibly thrilling, terrifying, and truly unique mystery. It is set within the framework of her supernatural characters, which adds an extra layer of intrigue and excitement.

I firmly believe that this book stands out as the most frightening among all of them. It doesn't begin with the typical cast of supernaturals that we are accustomed to. Instead, it starts with a human teenager who finds himself in a nightmarish situation. From that point on, the story only gets scarier, keeping the reader on the edge of their seat.

The book centers around Jamie Vegas, a necromancer who has the ability to see and communicate with the dead. She is faced with the task of solving a mystery while also trying to maintain her professionalism during a film shoot. This complex and engaging plotline allows us to delve deeper into Jamie's character and understand her struggles and challenges.

Moreover, \\"No Humans Involved\\" also gives us the opportunity to meet Hope Adams in a more direct way. Hope is a half-demon with a thirst for chaos, yet she also has a hunger for goodness. Through her interactions and experiences in the story, we get to see what makes this young spit-fire tick and how she navigates the often-dangerous world of the supernatural.

In conclusion, \\"No Humans Involved\\" is truly an amazing read. It combines elements of mystery, horror, and the supernatural in a way that is both captivating and unforgettable. It is my favorite book so far in this series, and I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys a good supernatural thriller.

As always, reading a sequel to books in a series always leaves me feeling some level of apprehension. Will it measure up to how I felt about the past six books? Well, the answer is a resounding yes. Yes, it really did.

The first worry I had was after reading the blurb of the book and learning it's narrated by necromancer Jaime. I have a great affection for her character, but I never imagined she would be the main focus of one of the books in the series. However, I found myself truly enjoying delving deeper into her story. It wasn't just about Jaime, but also Jeremy. Jeremy was presented in a different light than before. Jeremy, you sly dog! No pun intended.

I definitely found Jaime to be a brilliant character. She was so flawed and well-rounded that she became incredibly relatable, despite her ability to raise the dead and all that. I really enjoyed her interactions with Jeremy. The way she tested his intentions made me laugh out loud. She was also endearing with the way she chastised herself for acting like a crushing schoolgirl. Jaime brought a fresh perspective to the series as a whole.

The plot was simply fantastic. I loved the way it deviated from my expectations. It was actually surprisingly creepy. Most of the books in this series have some element of horror, even if it's just a small one, but this one took it a step further with its discussions of ghosts and descriptions of raising the dead. It managed to send shivers down my spine, which was great.

Armstrong's writing delivered everything I expected. There was an abundance of suspense and excitement right up until the very end. Truly, there was never a dull moment.

I had just completed my review when, alas, it got devoured (once more). *sigh*

I have perused every single one of Kelley Armstrong's 'Women of the Otherworld' series of novels, and I must admit that I relished each and every one of them. However, I feel compelled to state that I believe this particular installment is her weakest offering thus far. The aspects that I have adored about the series - the palpable sense of danger lurking around every corner, the intense romantic and sexual undertones that flavor the relationships between the first-person female lead and her romantic interest, and the captivating fantasy elements - simply did not possess the same level of strength in this novel. Her lead character seemed to have lost some of her sass and spunk. It's akin to being a drug addict and having to settle for a weaker dose - it provides a momentary relief, but deep down, you yearn for something more substantial.

To be completely honest, I suspect that at least a portion of my disquiet can be attributed to the fact that the romantic lead is Jonathan, a character whom we have encountered numerous times before. In this relationship, he now seems a bit out of character and the whole thing feels a touch forced. It's as if the author has had to exert some effort to bend him to fit the narrative, and that effort is rather palpable.

Having said that, the book was still enjoyable. Although I managed to guess the identity of the bad guys several chapters in advance, it managed to keep me entertained for an entire evening. I will undoubtedly be purchasing her next novel the moment it hits the shelves.

In conclusion, while this book is worth reading, it does not quite measure up to the high standards set by her previous novels.
