I have read the initial two volumes of this trilogy. Subsequently, I commenced reading the third one, yet I had to DNF (Did Not Finish) it.

I firmly believed that the first book, namely "A Wrinkle in Time", was truly outstanding. However, the rating seemed to decline gradually from that point forward.

In the first book, I adored the allusions to biblical themes. And in the second book, "A Wind in the Door", the cherubim added an interesting touch.

The peculiar elements that resembled almost witchcraft started to emerge in the second book. Nevertheless, they were so fantastical that it was possible to overlook them.

Nonetheless, in "A Swiftly Tilting Planet", these elements became even more prominent. Perhaps my interpretation might differ from that of others, but this was precisely how it manifested to me.

Consequently, I decided to DNF after the third chapter of the third book.

I made up my mind to resume reading for the new year. I chose a book that I believed would be an effortless read. And indeed, this book was just that, yet it was also a delightful story.

I relished the journey of Meg. I was captivated by how she dealt with her feelings of loneliness and later found comfort in friendship, family, and all the strange things she came across on different planets and within herself. Throughout the entire process, she learned to have faith in herself and understood that everything would turn out fine.

I'm glad that the first installment of this series concluded with them finding her father and liberating Charles Wallace from the clutches of IT. I'm not sure if I'll get around to reading the rest of the series (although I do wonder how they will combat the darkness), but this was a wonderful book to help me get back into the habit of reading.

"We look not at the things which are what you ast, what is would call seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporal. But the things which are not seen are eternal." This quote really made me think about the deeper meaning of the story and the importance of looking beyond the surface.

This is a trilogy composed of 3 distinct books, and it's something that I have always believed I ought to read.

Some of the writing within this trilogy leans towards the realm of fantasy. It seems as if it is the unadulterated imagination of a child, or perhaps it's not just imagination but rather the use of creative freedoms to construct a clandestine world.

In the final book of the trilogy, the children come across a letter in the attic. This discovery transports us back to the past, adding an element of mystery and intrigue.

The writing in this trilogy is truly excellent. However, at times, it can be a bit too far-fetched for me as an adult reader. There are also moments when there are historical references incorporated, which serve to connect the story with a particular period in time. This adds depth and authenticity to the narrative, making it an engaging read for those interested in both fantasy and history.

The book, on the whole, is rather good.

However, it is extremely old, and frequently, I was pulled out of the time period due to the movie.

I had initially intended to read this to my baby cousins because of the 2018 Disney Movie.

I don't recall a great deal about it, but I have my own little anecdote related to it that almost got me into trouble.

Due to a fake sticker, the little metal detectors in a store went off because of it.

I believe it was just before the summer vacation of my 7th grade.

But yes, I think it's a fine kids' book, just not necessarily for me.

Perhaps for younger children, it would hold more appeal and charm, with its engaging story and interesting characters.

Nonetheless, my personal experience with it was a bit marred by the movie and the incident with the fake sticker.

Still, I can appreciate that it has its merits and could be a great read for the right audience.

The first two installments in this trilogy were truly enjoyable.

However, the third one, in my opinion, seemed to meander for a significant portion of the book.

Nonetheless, the conclusion at the end managed to tie up all the loose ends and provide an explanation for everything.

Perhaps my concentration wasn't fully there during a large part of "A Swiftly Tilting Planet", but I can understand the direction the author was taking with the conclusion.

That being said, all the similar names in the story were rather confusing.

Overall, it is a fine trilogy.

I will definitely have to seek out the final two books in the quintet to see how the story concludes.

It will be interesting to see if the author can maintain the same level of quality and engage me as much as the first three books did.

I'm looking forward to delving deeper into this fictional world and seeing what new adventures and revelations await.

This is a review of this particular edition of the trilogy, rather than a discussion of the stories it contains. I'll post my thoughts on those as I complete reading them.

I truly have a great fondness for this book. The cover artwork is simply breathtaking. The leather has been crafted with such finesse that one could easily display it on a coffee table just to appreciate its beauty. The pages are of excellent quality and possess the same feel as some of the old books I have come across. The font size is perfect! I especially like the little scrollwork-like designs that adorn the beginning of each chapter. The small ribbon bookmark attached to the binding is not only convenient but also feels very sturdy, giving no indication that it might come loose.

This edition would无疑 make an outstanding gift for someone special (or even for oneself). For me, it was most definitely worth the price. It's a beautiful addition to any bookshelf and a pleasure to hold and read.

This book is so original, delightful, and ageless that I find myself able to love it at different stages of my life - as a child, a teenager, and now as an adult. The fantastic storytelling, perennial wisdom, and worldbuilding are all wonderfully evocative. L'Engle is truly a treasure.

I listened to the audiobook version, which had an added bonus. It included a brief intro from L'Engle herself and an afterword from her granddaughter. Just for those features alone, I highly recommend it (even though the narration was just OK).

It's interesting to learn about the challenges this book has faced over the years. Many publishers didn't know what to do with it, and it has been contested for various reasons. Some thought it was too close to the fantastic, while others felt it made too many references to Christianity. However, regardless of these aspects, it remains a wonderful story that I wholeheartedly recommend.

I firmly believe that this book is truly outstanding in its ability to engage young readers and encourage them to unleash their imagination. It challenges them to vividly visualize the events and scenarios described within its pages.

However, it should be noted that there are certain sections of this book that might appear to be more mature in nature. Due to this, I would only suggest this book for students in later middle school and high school.

Personally speaking, I have always had a penchant for fantasy books that also seamlessly incorporate elements of science fiction. This particular book manages to strike that perfect balance, making it an absolute delight to read.

It offers a unique and captivating reading experience that can transport readers to a world filled with wonder and excitement.

The book delves into profound themes such as the eternal struggle between good and evil. It also explores the power of love, which has the ability to transform and heal. Additionally, the concept of self-discovery is a central element, as the characters embark on a journey to understand themselves better.

The imaginative narrative of the book is truly captivating, transporting readers into a world filled with wonder and excitement. The strong and relatable characters add another layer of depth, making it easy for both young and older audiences to connect with the story.

This unique combination of engaging themes, imaginative storytelling, and relatable characters makes the book a compelling read for all. It has the power to inspire, educate, and entertain, and it is no wonder that it allowed me and my son to enjoy it together.

Whether you are looking for a thrilling adventure or a thought-provoking exploration of the human condition, this book has something to offer. It is a must-read for anyone who loves to lose themselves in a good story.

A Wrinkle In Time by Madeleine L'Engle is a Newberry Medal winner from 1963.

This book is regarded as a classic, yet it has also been on the list of banned books recently. My review is likely to stir controversy.

The book presents a rather strange combination of intelligent hard science, interesting quantum science, and religion. It is filled with quotes from the Bible and strong, blatant overtones of Christian doctrine.

There are a few respectful mentions of other spiritual leaders from different cultures, and moral messages from classic literature and philosophers are interwoven. However, this combination has drawn criticism from both religious fundamentalists and atheists and the secular society.

I didn't find any of the characters captivating. They seemed like stereotypes: a genius child, a misfit girl, and bothersome brothers. The only character who deviated from the norm a little was the beautiful, genius, scientist mother who, nevertheless, stays home and cooks stew in Bunsen burners while her husband has adventures.

The Mrs. Whatsit, Mrs. Who, and Mrs. Which characters were odd and confusing. It takes approximately 100 pages of tiresome, banal dialogue to reach the point where you are informed that this is a battle between Good and Evil, and all you need is love.

I never read this book as a child or young adult, but reading it now, I found it unbearably heavy-handed. It took me an eternity to finish this one as I simply wasn't interested in the characters or the worlds the author created.

Overall, while A Wrinkle In Time may have its merits in terms of its unique blend of elements, it failed to engage me on a personal level.

Love is a complex and profound emotion that often requires us to be vulnerable.

Vulnerability means opening ourselves up, exposing our true selves, and taking risks. It is in this state of vulnerability and risk that we can truly experience the power of love.

When we are in love, we are willing to put ourselves out there, to face the possibility of heartbreak and disappointment. We are willing to take risks that we might not otherwise take, because we believe in the power of love to overcome all obstacles.

It is only by being vulnerable and taking risks that we can overcome the darkness that exists within us and in the world around us. Love has the power to bring light and hope into our lives, but it can only do so if we are willing to be vulnerable and take that leap of faith.

So, let us embrace vulnerability and risk, and let love guide us on our journey through life.

I first read this book when I was in the third grade, and I fell in love with it instantly.

The author's vivid description of the fantasy world was truly captivating, and the adventure that the main character embarked on was incredibly exciting.

It was the perfect book for a child to get completely engrossed in.

Now, as an adult, my love for this book has not diminished one bit.

The writing is so beautifully crafted that it has the power to capture the hearts of adults just as effectively as it does those of children.

The characters are simply loveable, with their unique personalities and charming traits.

This book is a true gem that transcends age boundaries and continues to bring joy and excitement to readers of all ages.

It is a testament to the power of great literature and the ability of a well-written story to touch the hearts and imaginations of people for a lifetime.
