I search without finding.

I write alone.

No one is here.

The day passes, the year passes.

I fall with the moment of descent.

I sink into the depths.

The fog of oblivion on the mirrors

that repeat my broken image.

I walk on the days, on the lost moments...

I search for that moment that is full of the charm of a bird...

I long for a time when my heart will soar like a bird, filled with joy and hope. The days pass by, and I find myself still lost in this world of solitude and longing. But I continue to search, believing that one day, I will find that special moment that will bring light and meaning to my life.

The book that truly turned me on to poetry was an absolute gem.

Paz, the brilliant author, based this remarkable book-length poem on the Mayan calendar. It was an incredibly unique and captivating approach.

Reading it was like opening a door to a whole new world of perception. It presented a refreshingly different way of viewing reality, one that made me stop and think in ways I never had before.

The words seemed to dance on the page, painting vivid pictures in my mind and evoking a range of emotions. It was as if Paz had tapped into a wellspring of ancient wisdom and was sharing it with the world through his beautiful poetry.

This book not only introduced me to the power and beauty of poetry but also expanded my horizons and made me see the world from a whole new perspective. It will always hold a special place in my heart and continue to inspire me for years to come.

5 stars are not enough, one reading is not enough too.

All is transformed, all is sacred. Every room is the center of the world. It's still the first night, and the first day. The world is born when two people kiss. A drop of light from transparent juices. The room cracks half-open like a fruit or explodes in silence like a star.

I walk through the streets of myself under an ageless sun, and by my side you walk like a tree, you walk like a river, and talk to me like the course of a river. You grow like wheat between my hands, you throb like a squirrel between my hands, you fly like a thousand birds, and your laugh is like the spray of the sea. Your head is a star between my hands, and the world grows green again when you smile.

This beautiful description seems to transport us into a magical and enchanting realm. The words paint a vivid picture of a world where everything is filled with wonder and beauty. The transformation of the room and the birth of the world through a kiss add a touch of mystery and romance. The way you walk, talk, grow, and throb is described in such a unique and captivating way that it makes us feel as if we are right there experiencing it all with the author. The comparison of your laugh to the spray of the sea and your head to a star is truly poetic and evokes a sense of grandeur and beauty. Overall, this piece of writing is a masterpiece that leaves a lasting impression on the reader.

I travel your length, like a river gently meandering.

I travel your body, like a forest filled with mysteries.

Like a mountain path that abruptly ends at a cliff, I explore the edge of your thoughts.

My shadow falls from your white forehead, and as it shatters, I painstakingly gather the pieces.

And then, I go on, bodiless, groping my way through the endless corridors of memory.

The doors open into an empty room where all the summers have come to rot.

At its depths, the jewels of thirst burn brightly.

The face that vanishes upon recall haunts my mind.

The hand that crumbles at my touch leaves me with a sense of loss.

The hair, spun by a mob of spiders over the smiles of years ago, adds to the eerie atmosphere.

Setting out from my forehead, I search tirelessly.

I search without finding, search through a moment that seems to stretch forever.

A face of storm and lightning-flashes races through the trees of night.

A face of rain in a darkened garden, like relentless water that flows by my side.

I am someone else when I am, my actions
are more my own when they belong to all,
to be myself I must be someone else,
to step out of myself, to seek myself in others\\" (and others, and others)

The Pas makes circles, lights up the birth of the world, plays with the eye of the sun and leaves. But it takes us with it.

Careful, enhanced, bilingual edition (and others, and others).

This text seems to convey a profound sense of self-discovery and the interconnectedness of all. When we say \\"I am someone else when I am,\\" it implies that our true selves are not limited to our individual identities but are intertwined with the collective. Our actions gain more significance when they benefit not just ourselves but everyone. To truly understand ourselves, we need to look beyond our own boundaries and seek ourselves in others. The mention of the Pas making circles and playing with the sun's eye adds a touch of mystery and wonder, as if there is a greater force at play in the world. The careful and enhanced bilingual edition suggests that this text has been thoughtfully crafted and presented in a way that allows for a deeper exploration and appreciation. Overall, it is a thought-provoking piece that invites us to reflect on our place in the world and our relationship with others.

The world changes if two, united by a thread, fall on the grass: the sky now lowers, the trees rise, the space is light and silence.

Generally, I don't have very good relationships with poetry. Maybe it's because of that school "what does the poet want to say" that left me with a trauma. But sometimes something clicks with me and draws me to read it.

This also happened with "Ηλιόπετρα" by Octavio Paz. And when I read it, I was ecstatic. It's wonderful! I read it twice and I'm sure I will read it many more times in the future.

For me, poetry is a feeling. If it doesn't make my heart race, if it doesn't make me read the same lines over and over again with tears, if it doesn't make me dream, if it doesn't touch my soul, no matter how many analyses I read, I don't care what the poet wants to say.

And "Ηλιόπετρα" did all these things and more.

In the same edition, the poem "Κώστας" is also included, which Paz wrote to talk about his acquaintance and friendship with the Greek philosopher Kostas Papaioannou. It's also very beautiful.

Damn...

Damn was a censored word that emerged from the recesses of my own mind. It was as if a force within me was trying to express something intense, something that couldn't be contained by the ordinary words. The first thing that escaped my lips, and then repeated many times over, was "Fuck..Fuck..FucK!!". It was a torrent of expletives, a release of pent-up emotions that I couldn't seem to hold back. I don't know why I felt the need to swear so vehemently, but it just felt right in that moment. Maybe it was frustration, maybe it was anger, or maybe it was just a way to let off steam. Whatever the reason, the words continued to pour out of me, as if they had a life of their own.

Mīlu, mīlu, mīlu

Izcils breakup krājums

Although in life I don't feel like this, I understand so well what he writes there. And truly - he writes so innocently!

This simple text seems to carry a world of emotions. The repeated "mīlu" (love) emphasizes the intensity of the feeling. The "izcils breakup krājums" (cool breakup story) might suggest a certain detachment or perhaps a sense of acceptance in the face of a relationship's end. It's as if the author is able to look at the situation with a certain objectivity and yet still have an understanding of the emotions involved. The statement about understanding what is written and the description of the writing as innocent add another layer to this short piece, making it seem both profound and relatable.

I found my little cross that I had lost here for months, but I didn't wear it again.

As for the Heliopolis and the Paschal, pentasteros. Pure.

This discovery of the lost cross brought back a mix of emotions. It had been missing for so long that I had almost given up hope of ever seeing it again. But now that it was in my hand, I wasn't sure what to do with it.

The mention of Heliopolis and the Paschal added a certain solemnity to the situation. The pentasteros, being pure, perhaps symbolized something greater. It made me think about the significance of these religious elements and how they related to my own life.

Maybe I should wear the cross again, as a reminder of my faith and the things that are important to me. Or perhaps I should keep it safe as a precious memento. Only time will tell what the right decision is.
