Zie mijn eerdere reviews op deel 1 en ook die bij de Baxter-serie. I have really enjoyed the previous installments and was looking forward to this one. However, I must say that I am giving a half star less for part 3 of Dayne Matthews.
The book seems to have been written with less attention, feeling more hasty and lacking in details. For example, there is less subtle information about the attitude or gaze of the characters, which in the earlier books really made me fully empathize with the situation and was a strength of this author. In addition, there were more mistakes in the book, which I find rather disturbing and unnecessary.
Despite these drawbacks, I still enjoyed the story. It had its engaging moments and kept me interested enough to want to continue reading. I'm now looking forward to parts 4 and 5 to see how the story progresses and if the author can improve on some of the aspects that I felt were lacking in this installment.
Another Baxter family story, a short one indeed. It revolves around the search for the Baxter family's first born, who was given up for adoption. This journey of discovery is filled with emotions and anticipation. The Baxters, with a mix of hope and trepidation, set out to find this long-lost member of their family. They comb through old records, reach out to adoption agencies, and talk to anyone who might have a clue. The search is not easy, but their determination never wavers. Each new lead brings a glimmer of hope, and they hold onto that hope tightly. As they get closer to the truth, the excitement builds. What will they find? Will the first born be happy to be reunited with the Baxter family? Only time will tell, but the Baxters are ready for whatever comes their way.
