This is not my favorite book.

I have to say that I was really disappointed with it.

The content seemed to be very repetitive and redundant.

The same story line was rehashed over and over again, which made me feel quite bored.

I expected more from this book, but unfortunately, it failed to meet my expectations.

Maybe it's just not my cup of tea, but I think there are many other books out there that are much more interesting and engaging.

I hope the author can improve in the future and come up with something more original and exciting.

Overall, this book is not one that I would recommend to others.

The book was quite fine.

The long-awaited trial finally takes place, and Katy Hart finds herself back in LA for it. Dayne, however, is filled with uncertainty. He isn't sure if he has the ability to shield her from the prying eyes and intrusions of the paparazzi. After much deliberation, he makes the difficult decision to let her return to Bloomington.

John Baxter is well aware that Dayne is the son he gave up for adoption all those years ago. But he has made a solemn promise to Dayne that he will not disclose this information.

It should be noted that books 3 and 4 of this series, which are set outdoors, have been combined. One aspect that stands out is the significant amount of repetition in the theme of family. This is really my only complaint about the series so far.

Overall, despite this minor drawback, the story still manages to hold one's attention and keep them engaged in the lives of the characters.

This is truly a great book. However, I've been having a hard time liking Ashley.

She comes across as being overly pushy. She's constantly nosing into other people's affairs, not showing the slightest bit of respect for their privacy.

Moreover, she fails to understand that everyone needs their own space and time to deal with things.

Sure, it can be argued that her actions did push John to take action, but at times, I just had this urge to shake her and tell her to just relax and chill out.

Lol! It's interesting how the author has created such a complex character like Ashley, who elicits such strong reactions from the readers.

Despite my issues with her, I still find myself engaged with the story and curious to see how her character will develop further.

Maybe there's more to Ashley than meets the eye, and I'm looking forward to uncovering those hidden aspects as I continue reading the book.

Another tear-jerker - but honestly, that's true for the whole series.

I find myself completely captivated by the storylines and the characters. It's truly remarkable how the series manages to tug at our heartstrings with each and every episode.

I love spending this time with the younger versions of the Baxter family. They bring a sense of youth, energy, and innocence to the screen. Their relationships, dreams, and struggles are so relatable and engaging.

Watching their growth and development throughout the series is both heartwarming and inspiring. It makes me reflect on my own life and the people who have played important roles in my journey.

The writers and producers have done an outstanding job of creating a world that we can all get lost in. I can't wait to see what the future holds for the Baxter family and how their story will continue to unfold.

It is truly refreshing to peruse such deeply moving Christian novels penned by Karen Kingsbury.

I have an intense affection for all the tales revolving around the Baxter family. It feels as if they are not mere fictional characters but my dear friends.

I eagerly anticipate each new series she releases. However, this particular "Firstborn" series was especially poignant and touching.

The story titled "Family" had such a profound impact that it brought tears to my eyes, but they were tears of joy and inspiration.

This author undeniably possesses a remarkable gift and talent for writing. She has an extraordinary ability to seamlessly weave the profound truths of God's word into the lives of her characters, making the stories not only entertaining but also spiritually uplifting and enlightening.

Her works have the power to touch the hearts and souls of readers, leaving a lasting impression and a sense of hope and faith.

I am truly grateful to have discovered Karen Kingsbury's novels and look forward to many more beautiful stories in the future.

I truly liked the direction in which this book led the characters.

Although it was somewhat repetitive at times, this very aspect made it an easy read.

The story flowed smoothly, and I found myself engaged with the characters and their journey.

However, I do hope that the final installment of the series will offer a bit more depth.

I am eager to see how the author will develop the characters further and bring the story to a satisfying conclusion.

Perhaps there will be more complex plot twists and a deeper exploration of the characters' emotions and motivations.

Overall, despite the slight repetitiveness, I have enjoyed this book and look forward to reading the final one in the series.

The story seemed to drag on

repeating the same things time and time again

until it reached the last forty pages. It was quite a disappointment

as it felt like a waste of time for most of the book. I only awarded the book a second star

because the final chapters finally brought some action and excitement

making it a bit more engaging. However, the part about the paparazzi

could have been significantly shorter

as it didn't add much value to the overall story. In conclusion,

this is not the best book in the Firstborn series

and I would not highly recommend it to others.

What a truly delightful and deeply emotional story this is!

Readers have been wholeheartedly rooting for Dayne and Katy, their hearts filled with hope for their love to overcome all odds. However, the obstacles standing in their way seem almost insurmountable. One can't help but wonder if things could ever truly work out between them.

Dayne has been aware of his Baxter family for quite some time now. But he is reluctant to expose them to the intense media scrutiny that would surely follow if their connection were made public. Meanwhile, the Baxter kids, once they discover that they have an older brother, are eager to meet him. However, they have no idea who he is. Dayne Matthews and John Baxter have reached an agreement to keep this a secret, at least for the present moment.

As Ashley continues to push ever harder in her quest to find out the identity of her unknown brother, the question remains: Will she be able to turn the tide and bring about a Baxter family meeting that includes Dayne? The anticipation is palpable, and readers are left on the edge of their seats, eagerly waiting to see how this story will unfold.

I read this either in college or in high school, so it has been quite a while.

Yet the series was truly enjoyable to read. It has the power to transport you into the challenges and struggles that the characters face, and guide you through realistic situations.

Looking back, there are certain parts that I now find less realistic. For instance, Landon "waiting" for Ashley since high school. In reality, most guys would simply move on with their lives and find another girl to marry.

Another example is famous Dane Matthews pursuing small-town Katie.

Moreover, all of the characters seem to be good-looking. My brother always made fun of me for reading these books, especially when there was an attractive male on the front cover. Haha.

There is also a bit of a melodramatic element to these stories. However, overall, they were enjoyable and even helpful for me when I was younger.

Also, the Firstborn series made me realize the cost of fame. This was really eye-opening for me and made me feel sympathy for the celebrities in real life. It also made me see the emptiness that often comes with fame.

4th in the second Baxter series. It's rather a slow-paced one. Dayne and Katy have made up their minds that they want to be together.

The fourth book in Kingsbury's Firstborn series offers an in-depth exploration of the price that Dayne has to pay for his fame. It's quite pleasant to encounter the characters once again. However, the plot progresses at a sluggish pace. The parts related to Katy's assault trial are thrilling, and the process of building a new family is both heartwarming and realistic. But the aversion to tabloids and paparazzi is overemphasized and becomes tediously preachy. The overall theme of learning to trust God's priorities instead of what seems convenient is truly soul-stirring. Fans of the series will surely enjoy this new installment.

However, newcomers might get lost in this continuing saga.

Katy Hart has no idea what to anticipate from the upcoming trial. She has fallen even deeper in love with Dayne Matthews, but his fame is hindering their relationship. Now that her identity is going to be revealed, can she cope with the consequences?

Dayne is delighted that he has established a connection with his father John Baxter and is eager to meet his siblings. He is not eager to subject them to any media attention, yet there doesn't seem to be any other alternative.
