Billy Redinger was raised in a monastery above the town of Paradise, Colorado, in a secret experiment known as "Project Showdown". Project Showdown was an attempt by the Catholic Church to raise children free from the corruption of society, and to reintroduce them as adults to see if they would be corrupted.
Marsuvees Black tempted Billy into venturing into the monastery's dungeons and writing in the books of history. Billy uses the books to create another Marsuvees Black, who uses his mysterious powers to wreak havoc on Paradise. At the end of the book, Billy discovers that he and Johnny Drake are half-brothers.
In Sinner, Billy kills Marsuvees Black, and tries to repent of his sins. However, in Green, Billy falls in love with Janine, a vampire, and returns to evil. It is discovered that he and Billos are linked, and are basically the same person living in two different worlds.…more
