I am currently on an enormous reading spree with Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series, and this latest installment is by far the best one to date!

Stephanie has ostensibly "quit" her job as a bounty hunter and is now working for Ranger's security firm, but it's not as straightforward as it seems. Why sort of? Well, because it's Stephanie Plum's life, and nothing is ever simple for her!

In this particular book, Stephanie finds herself being hunted by a mysterious "ghost," which adds some seriously thrilling and dark undertones to the plot. It's a departure from the previous madcap adventures that we've come to love, but in a really good way.

I can't wait to see what happens in the next book. Will Stephanie be able to outwit the "ghost" and continue her chaotic yet entertaining life? Only time will tell.

This is a Cozy Mystery, and it holds a special place as the 11th book in the Plum series.

The Plum series is renowned for its ability to offer readers funny and fast-paced reads.

I have a deep affection for the characters not only in this particular book but throughout the entire series.

What makes this book truly remarkable is that it provides a thoroughly fun and hilarious reading experience.

From start to finish, I was completely engrossed and simply enjoyed this book to the fullest.

It's the kind of book that you can pick up when you want to unwind and be entertained, and it never fails to deliver.

The author has done an excellent job of creating a world and characters that are both endearing and engaging, making it a must-read for fans of the Cozy Mystery genre.

I can't wait to see what the author has in store for us in the next installment of the Plum series.

Stephanie and the gang have always been a delightful escape for me.

It's true that there isn't any truly remarkable or revolutionary writing in this story. The scenarios are often rather contrived, lacking in a certain degree of authenticity.

However, what I absolutely adore is the way Ranger and Morelli interact with each other. Their good-humored mutual appreciation of Stephanie is both charming and entertaining. They are the perfect contrasts of hotness and coolness, badness and goodness.

Ranger exudes an air of mystery and danger, while Morelli is more down-to-earth and reliable. Their different personalities and approaches to life make for some truly captivating moments.

I find myself loving both of them equally, as they each bring something unique and exciting to the table.

Despite the flaws in the writing and the contrived scenarios, Stephanie and the gang continue to be a source of enjoyment for me.

Eleven On Top, 5 easy, no-brainer stars.

This is the second Stephanie Plum novel I have read and it is official - I am in love with Stephanie Plum, and I am not even gay!

Stephanie is a sassy, kick-ass bounty hunter who desires to put the bad guys behind bars, preferably without relying on a gun - I understand her stance as I don't like guns either.

In this book, she has quit her job due to having endured being shot at, kidnapped, stalked, firebombed, spat at, cussed at, run off the road, and rolled in garbage. Well, anyone would! Unfortunately for Stephanie, her friends and the maniac attempting to kill her won't allow that to happen.

I adore the banter between Stephanie and the two men in her life - Joe Morelli: 'Six feet of lean, hard muscle and hot Italian libido' (p8) and Ranger: 'Hot and mysterious and oozes testosterone' (p74).

Stephanie and Joe Morelli have their moments. For instance, Stephanie says, 'I need happy food.' And Morelli responds, 'You should have called. I have just the thing to make you happy,' while hooking his finger into the neckline of her white tank. Stephanie, who has co-habited with Morelli at times, knows this is true but replies, 'I have stuff to do this afternoon and doughnuts take less time.' Morelli then counters with, 'Cupcake, I haven't seen you in weeks. I could set a new land speed record for getting happy.' (p9)

Stephanie and Ranger also have their exchanges. She crawls under the covers and is almost asleep when the quilt is yanked back. She shrieks and stares up at Ranger. She yells at him, 'What the heck are you doing? Did you ever think about ringing a doorbell?' Ranger smiles down at her and says, 'Visiting, Babe. That would take all the fun out of it.' (p17)

It's a good thing Stephanie burns calories physically with Joe and mentally with Ranger because this girl loves to eat. Personally, I appreciate a character who enjoys food. Stephanie seems to be familiar with every bakery and fast food outlet in New Jersey. She devours doughnuts - who knew there were so many varieties - cake, takeaways, and, of course, her mum's excellent cooking, usually with cake for dessert.

Food leads me to Lula, Stephanie's co-worker/friend. Lula is described as 'a size-sixteen black woman squashed into size-ten leopard-print spandex. And the weird thing is, in her own way, Lula looks pretty good in the animal spandex.' (p3) I love Lula; she is a hilarious character, and I enjoy the dynamic between her and Stephanie.

I was pleased to see that Stephanie's gun-toting Grandma Mazur was still present. Like Lula, she has a big personality - every family should have a Grandma Mazur.

This entire book is a source of laughter from beginning to end, and I wholeheartedly recommend it.

I simply can't believe that I have read yet another installment in this series!

It's not like it was some masterpiece of great literature, mind you. The writing might not have been overly sophisticated or filled with profound insights.

However, there was just something about it that made it completely unputdownable for me.

I found myself getting completely engrossed in the story, turning the pages with eager anticipation.

Maybe it was the engaging plot, or the likable characters, or perhaps just the sheer entertainment value.

Whatever it was, it had me hooked from start to finish, and I'm already looking forward to reading the next one in the series.

Who knows, maybe with each new book, the author will manage to improve and create something truly remarkable.

For now, though, I'm just happy to have found a series that can keep me entertained and engaged, even if it's not the most literary work out there.

This series never fails to bring joy and excitement. The characters are well-developed and the plot keeps thickening with each installment.

Love this series and honestly it gets better and more interesting along the way. The author has a talent for creating a world that readers can easily get lost in.

The storylines are engaging and full of surprises, making it impossible to put the book down. Whether it's the action-packed scenes or the heartwarming moments, this series has something for everyone.

I can't wait to see what the author has in store for us next. Highly recommended for fans of the genre!

Trying to get back to reading them in order. I have this strong desire to follow the proper sequence. It all began when a friend gave me Twelve Sharp to read. I picked it up out of curiosity, not really expecting much. However, as I delved into the story, I found myself completely engrossed. The plot was so captivating and the characters were so vivid that I couldn't put the book down. I liked it so much that I decided to go back and read the entire series from the very beginning. It's like uncovering a hidden treasure trove of stories. The ending of this particular book made me even more eager. It left me with so many questions and a burning desire to go re-read Twelve Sharp. I wanted to find out exactly where Stephanie was in her relationships with Morelli and Ranger. Their complex love triangle has always been one of the most fascinating aspects of the series for me.

This was truly a fun one. I have a certain fondness for these books, yet they do tend to be somewhat predictable.

However, if you approach them with a 'go with the flow' attitude, they can make for a quick and enjoyable read.

Stephanie, the main character, gets on my nerves a little bit. But then again, I'm from Philly, and perhaps that's why all Jersey Girls seem to have that effect on me.

Maybe it's just a matter of personal preference and the cultural differences between the two regions.

Nonetheless, despite the predictability and my minor annoyance with Stephanie, these books still have their charm and can provide some light entertainment when you're in the mood for it.

I'll probably continue to pick them up from time to time, just to see what new adventures Stephanie gets herself into.

After all, sometimes it's nice to have a familiar and somewhat formulaic story to fall back on.

This is just the reading that I needed, and incidentally, a volume that really made me laugh a lot!

It's amazing how a good book can have such an impact. This particular one not only provided the knowledge and entertainment I craved but also had me in stitches with its humorous moments.

As I turned the pages, I found myself completely immersed in the story, forgetting about the outside world. The author's writing style was engaging and生动, making it easy for me to picture every scene and character.

Whether it was the witty dialogue or the hilarious situations, this tome had me constantly entertained. It was a welcome break from the daily grind and a reminder of the power of a good book to bring joy and laughter. I'm so glad I came across this gem and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great read that will both educate and amuse.

Cluck in a bucket, jelly donut desires, white whales, mama macaroni’s mole….

These are just some of the wacky and wonderful elements that make up this Stephanie Plum story. It's truly a laugh out loud gem.

Maybe it was my lack of sleep that made it seem even funnier, but either way, it was another highly enjoyable read.

Surprisingly, there wasn't a single note of cello music involved, which just goes to show that Stephanie Plum can keep us entertained with her crazy adventures and unique cast of characters without any musical accompaniment.

This story had me on the edge of my seat, laughing and turning the pages as fast as I could.

I can't wait to see what Stephanie gets up to in the next installment of this hilarious series.

Surprisingly, this is my favorite yet.

I really like Stephanie working for Ranger. The side jobs she takes on are not only fun but also have a significant impact on me. They make me look at my own life in a more positive light.

It's interesting to see how her experiences and the tasks she undertakes can bring such a change in my perspective.

Maybe it's because her adventures are so different from my daily routine, and they add a touch of excitement and novelty.

Whatever the reason, I find myself looking forward to reading about her exploits and how they affect me.

It's a unique and enjoyable aspect of this story that keeps me engaged and entertained.

I can't wait to see what other side jobs Stephanie will take on and how they will continue to influence my feelings about my own life.

There is only so much that a girl can endure. And this particular girl, Stephanie Plum, has truly had enough! She has grown tired of constantly chasing after bad guys, wrestling them to the ground, only to have them shoot at her and leave her covered in garbage. As a result, Stephanie decides to quit her job as a bounty hunter. However, she soon discovers that there are other jobs that she is even worse at! She seems unable to hold down a job for any length of time. She briefly works at a button factory, a fast food joint, and a dry cleaners before finally landing a gig at a security company, where the very good looking Ranger is her boss.

Believing that the bad guys would stop coming after her once she left the bond enforcement world, Stephanie tries her best to ignore the notes and gifts that are left for her by someone she thought was dead. But unfortunately, this girl just can't seem to escape from danger and destruction... it keeps creeping up on her at every turn.

While spending time trying to figure out what to do with her life, Stephanie also has to deal with other issues. She dwells on her sister's upcoming wedding, which she is dreading because of the vegetable dress she has to wear and the fact that she has somehow volunteered to play the cello (even though she's not even sure what a cello is!). She also nurses a wounded cop back to health, helps Lula out in her new career as a bounty hunter, and goes through a sugar detox.

Overall, this is a fun book that is a quick and easy read. It's perfect for reading at the beach or by the pool. I'm really looking forward to the next one in the series.
