I don't really know what to say about this book.

Quantum physics and gun running... seriously.

A friend of mine gave me this book in the late 90's and it completely blew my mind. As the internet emerged, we discovered just how rare the book was. He had actually stolen his copy from the library (I'm sure many people ended up with this book in a similar way before its re-release).

A few years later, when it was reissued, I quickly bought a copy for myself and found even more to love the second time around.

A couple of years ago, they released an audio version. While I recommend it to any fan of the book, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who hasn't read it at least once already.

All in all, this is one of those truly unique books that should be read by anyone with a good sense of humor at least once! It's a book that combines two seemingly disparate elements, quantum physics and gun running, in a way that is both hilarious and thought-provoking. The story is full of twists and turns, and the characters are well-developed and engaging. Whether you're a science fiction fan or just someone who enjoys a good laugh, this book is definitely worth checking out.

This is a truly remarkable yarn. It is indeed over the top, but that's what makes it so engaging. If this story had tried to be something more than just a philosophical suppository that gives spirit and form to a rudimentary course in quantum theory, if it had taken itself too seriously, it would have been, at best, mediocre.

Sure enough, I found myself smiling and even laughing out loud on several occasions. I couldn't help but keep turning the pages, eager to see where the author was going with this madness. And it was precisely at the point where he arrived at the point before he set out for the point that was never really there that made it all worthwhile. This is the point where skeptics might risk running into nihilism, and existentialists might be inclined to sigh and ask, "yeah, but so what?"

Compared to a lot of humor out there, this one stands out. It has substance, it has depth. It stumbles around and gulps tequila, adding to its charm. Unless you already have a solid understanding of the basics of quantum theory, and even if you do but have only grasped them in a dry, multiple-choice kind of way, you'll likely walk away from this book with a broader perspective.

It's a unique and entertaining read that manages to combine philosophy and quantum theory in a way that is both accessible and thought-provoking.

Gonzo!

This word immediately brings to mind a sense of wildness, excitement, and adventure. Gonzo is not just a word; it's a state of mind.

It's about throwing caution to the wind and diving headfirst into new experiences. Gonzo journalism, for example, is a style that abandons the traditional rules of reporting and instead focuses on the writer's personal perspective and emotions.

Those who embrace the gonzo spirit are not afraid to take risks, to step outside of their comfort zones, and to explore the unknown. They are the ones who are always looking for the next big thing, the next adventure, the next story to tell.

Whether it's in journalism, art, or life in general, the gonzo approach can lead to some truly amazing and unforgettable experiences. So, the next time you're feeling a bit too safe and comfortable, remember the word Gonzo! and go out and embrace the adventure.

I really enjoyed this book, and I'm someone who only knows quantum physics and even Newtonian physics at the high school level. If only I could understand their presentations... It was quite satisfying in terms of underground literature. Since it managed to please even me, a bad physicist and a below-average underground reader, those who are interested in both of these must definitely not miss it.

This book offers a unique perspective that combines elements of physics and underground literature. It presents complex physical concepts in a way that is accessible even to those with a limited understanding of the subject. The author's ability to blend these two seemingly disparate fields creates a captivating read that keeps the reader engaged from start to finish.

Whether you're a physics enthusiast looking for a new way to explore the subject or a lover of underground literature seeking something different, this book has something to offer. It challenges the reader's thinking and encourages them to look at the world from a new perspective. So, don't hesitate to pick up this book and discover the fascinating world it has to offer.

Silly goofy funny! These three words can describe a person or a situation that is lighthearted and full of humor.

A silly person might do or say things that are a bit absurd or unexpected, making others laugh. They don't take themselves too seriously and are often willing to make a fool of themselves for the sake of a good time.

Goofy behavior is also characterized by its lack of grace or coordination. A goofy person might trip over their own feet, make strange faces, or do things in a clumsy or awkward way. But that's what makes them so endearing and fun to be around.

And finally, funny is the overall result of being silly and goofy. When someone or something is funny, it has the ability to make us laugh and forget about our troubles for a while. Whether it's a joke, a funny story, or a comical situation, laughter is a powerful medicine that can bring people together and improve our mood.

So the next time you see someone being silly goofy funny, don't be afraid to join in on the fun and let loose a little. After all, life is too short to be serious all the time!

Banditos is an amazing game that truly deserves 5 stars!

It offers a unique and exciting gameplay experience that keeps players engaged from start to finish.

The graphics are top-notch, with vibrant colors and detailed designs that bring the game world to life.

The controls are intuitive and easy to learn, making it accessible to players of all skill levels.

Cosmic, on the other hand, earns 3 stars.

While it has some interesting features, it doesn't quite reach the same level of excellence as Banditos.

The gameplay can feel a bit repetitive at times, and the graphics could use some improvement.

However, it still has its charm and is worth checking out for those who are interested in the genre.

When we combine the two, we get Cosmic Banditos, which scores 4 stars.

This game takes the best of both worlds and creates a truly enjoyable experience.

The cosmic elements add an extra layer of depth and excitement to the already great gameplay of Banditos.

The graphics are even better than in the original Banditos, and the controls remain just as intuitive.

Overall, Cosmic Banditos is a great game that is sure to please fans of both Banditos and Cosmic.

Every once in a while, you find yourself in a situation where you have to take a bold and decisive action. It's like having to throw the figurative hand grenade.

This could be in various aspects of life, such as in a business negotiation, when you need to make a powerful point to sway the deal in your favor. Or perhaps in a personal relationship, when you have to have a difficult conversation and lay it all out on the table.

Throwing the figurative hand grenade requires courage and confidence. You have to be willing to take the risk and face the consequences. But sometimes, it's the only way to break through the status quo and create the change you desire.

So, don't be afraid to throw the figurative hand grenade when the situation calls for it. It might just be the spark that ignites a new beginning or a solution to a long-standing problem.

Weisbecker's book presents a unique and captivating reading experience.

It can be likened to "Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas" as if written by Douglas Adams. The author delves into a serious inquiry of quantum physics and its various branches, which play a role in the novel's somewhat meager plot.

However, what makes it accessible is the outlaw story and absurdist humor that drive the narrative. While the story may not be overly complex, it has a charm and an incredible honesty in its exploration of interests and the way those interests are depicted and illustrated.

Ultimately, the conclusion reached by the narrator (and Weisbecker) reflects on both postmodernism and quantum theory. It acknowledges that these concepts may not provide all the answers and that trying to explain them is a good intellectual exercise, but the pursuit of their truth might lead to a sense of great emptiness.

Interestingly, Douglas Adams might not have arrived at this conclusion, but Hunter Thompson surely would have, adding another layer of intrigue to this remarkable work.

I can clearly see that this particular work isn't suitable for everyone.

It seems to require a specific combination of interests and a sense of humour in order to be truly appreciated.

I am highly impressed with Weisbecker's writing skill.

Incorporating the dichotomy between the complex talk of quantum physics and the almost slapstick style of adventure cannot be an easy feat.

On top of that, the footnotes, the constant jumping back and forth with "time travel" and other writing quirks would typically have me looking for another book within just one chapter.

However, Weisbecker manages to make it all work seamlessly.

His ability to blend these diverse elements together creates a unique and engaging reading experience that keeps the reader hooked from start to finish.

It's a testament to his talent as a writer that he can handle such a wide range of topics and writing styles with such finesse.

Overall, while this book may not be to everyone's taste, for those who appreciate a bit of quirkiness and a unique approach to storytelling, it's definitely worth a read.

It's perhaps more accurately around 4.75, and what I truly mean by that is that it's not flawless. If you have a penchant for Vonnegut and/or Douglas Adams, you will absolutely adore this book. I believe this book accomplishes what Vonnegut does superbly, which is to spotlight life lessons while hurtling through some insanely wild fever dream plots. At the same time, it maintains a sense of humor that you don't frequently encounter in Vonnegut's works, and that's precisely why I likened it more to Adams.

It's a book that numerous people would find relaxation and delight in. It's a book that I look forward to revisiting later in life. It has the power to transport readers to a world filled with unique stories and valuable insights, all presented in an engaging and humorous manner. Whether you're a fan of Vonnegut or Adams, or simply someone who enjoys a good read, this book is definitely worth checking out.
