No mucho puedo añadir, como siempre me encanta la forma que tiene de escribir. The author's writing style is truly unique and captivating. It draws the reader in and keeps them engaged from start to finish.

Es un relato corto, un poco bizarro pero interesante de leer

The truth is that this book can be read very quickly.

However, it is completely unmemorable and I didn't feel anything related in the story.

It seems to lack the depth and emotion that would make it truly engaging.

Perhaps the plot was too simple or the characters not well-developed.

As I was reading, I found myself just going through the motions, not really invested in what was happening.

This is not one of the best stories that I have read from King, but it has surprised me that it was he who caused such a scandal.

Stephen King is widely known for his remarkable and often spine-chilling works. However, this particular piece didn't quite reach the high standards I have come to expect from him.

Yet, the fact that he was the one behind this scandalous affair is truly astonishing. It makes me wonder what could have led him to create something that would cause such a stir.

Perhaps there was a deeper meaning or message that I am yet to uncover. Or maybe it was just a momentary lapse in judgment on his part. Either way, it has left me with a sense of curiosity and a desire to explore this story further.

Perché.

Perché, with the kingly sea of stories, publish this less than mediocre writing?

Perché. It seems rather puzzling. In a world filled with a vast ocean of remarkable and engaging tales, one wonders why such an average piece would be put forward for publication.

Is there some hidden merit that is not immediately obvious? Or perhaps it is a case of overlooking the true potential of other, more outstanding works.

The decision to publish this particular writing might raise questions about the standards and criteria being used.

Shouldn't the focus be on presenting the very best that the literary world has to offer?

After all, readers deserve to be treated to high-quality and captivating stories that can transport them to different worlds and touch their hearts.

Maybe a closer examination is needed to determine if this writing truly belongs among the great works of literature.

Diane makes the decision to leave Steve and does so by penning him a letter, which he discovers once she is already gone. Her attorney arranges a meeting at the Gotham Cafe to talk about the settlement.

When Steve shows up, the headwaiter behaves in a very strange manner. His clothes are all messed up and he utters odd remarks. After they are seated, this peculiar headwaiter approaches the table and chaos erupts as killing begins. The headwaiter continuously makes an unusual wailing sound that resembles "geeeeee".

Diane and Steve manage to flee the mayhem, but unfortunately, things don't get any better. As readers, we observe Steve as he assesses his situation and attempts to come to terms with the strange phrase that keeps repeating.

This story is short, yet it is far from being just a simple tale. I found it to be quite engaging and interesting, and I liked it a great deal. It left me with a sense of anticipation and a desire to know what would happen next.

A short story already present in the collection "Everything is fateful" is here presented in a new edition, illustrated by the Spanish cartoonist Javier Olivares. (Unfortunately, I don't really like his style very much, but I found it quite suitable for the type of story, which moves away from the paranormal in favor of a bloody and claustrophobic realism.)

It is a very dark story (a mix between crazy thriller and horror) with an exciting and suspenseful ending. A waking nightmare to read in an hour.

The story takes the reader on a thrilling journey through a world of blood and fear. The characters are vividly portrayed, and the plot twists and turns keep the reader on the edge of their seat. Despite not being a fan of Olivares' style, I have to admit that his illustrations add an extra layer of atmosphere to the story. They bring the dark and gritty world of the story to life in a way that words alone cannot.

Overall, this new edition of the story is a must-read for fans of horror and thriller. It is a short but intense read that will leave you feeling both scared and satisfied.

A short, addictive tale that builds from less to more and has the exact dose of gore.

It starts off gently, lulling the reader into a false sense of security. But then, bit by bit, the intensity ramps up. The details become more vivid, the scenes more harrowing.

The storyteller knows just how to manipulate the reader's emotions, leading them on a thrilling and sometimes terrifying journey.

With each turn of the page, the anticipation grows, and the reader can't help but be drawn in deeper.

And when the full force of the gore is revealed, it's both shocking and strangely satisfying.

This is a tale that will stay with you long after you've finished reading.

My second book of the day and my second Stephen King book of the day.

This is actually the first Stephen King book I ever read. My dad used to play the audio book in the car all the time, which was my first introduction to King. Therefore, this story holds a very special place in my heart. As evidenced by the 5/5 stars and the fact that I just sat on the sofa for twenty minutes reading it from start to finish, since it's only about 30 pages long. Ever since I first heard this when I was around seven, this book has had me hooked. And even though I've heard it so many times now, it still completely captivates me and I love it.

This was the first time I actually read a physical copy of it, and it was a different reading experience. However, in my mind, Stephen King was still reading it. If someone wants to start reading King's books, I always recommend this one. It's a short story that can get you into his writing style, which, as I've mentioned before, is amazing.

Stephen always makes me scared enough.

His presence alone has a certain intensity that sends shivers down my spine.

Whether it's the way he looks at me with those piercing eyes or the deep tone of his voice when he speaks, there's just something about him that instills fear within me.

I can't quite put my finger on what it is exactly, but it's as if he has an air of mystery and danger surrounding him.

Every time I'm in his vicinity, my heart starts to race and my hands get clammy.

I try to stay calm and composed, but it's difficult when Stephen is around.

Maybe it's because he's so unpredictable, or perhaps it's the power he seems to hold.

Whatever the reason, I know that Stephen will always have this effect on me, making me scared enough to want to run away and hide.

But at the same time, there's also a part of me that is curiously drawn to him, despite the fear.

It's a strange and confusing mix of emotions that I can't seem to quite understand.

"Supper in Gotham" is a very powerful horror story! It is part of the collection "Everything is Fateful". Stephen King skillfully presented the complex human relationships, telling a story about a terrifying attack in a luxurious restaurant.

"A person is not able to predict the outcome of his actions, yet many people try to control it; the majority of people act in a certain way to prolong the moment of pleasure or to drive away the grief... "

"The walls were painted white and decorated with bright impressionist paintings. You never know what these canvases depict, but the primary colors and bold strokes act like a visual caffeine."

"Late at night, the insignificant questions torment me like the most important ones."

This story takes readers on a thrilling journey through the eyes of the characters, making them feel the tension and fear. King's descriptive language brings the setting and the events to life, making it easy for the readers to imagine themselves in the restaurant during the attack. The story also explores deeper themes such as human nature, fate, and the consequences of our actions. It makes the readers think about how we make decisions and how those decisions can affect our lives and the lives of others. Overall, "Supper in Gotham" is a must-read for fans of horror and anyone who enjoys a well-written story.

Steve Davis arrives at his workplace and on the kitchen table, he finds a note from his wife saying that it's over and that in the next few days, he will receive news from her lawyer to start the divorce proceedings. Steve, confused, also looks for a lawyer and a couple of weeks later, he schedules a lunch where the four of them will meet to finalize some of the main aspects of the divorce before going to court. However, it turns out that on that day, Steve's lawyer has an unexpected event and asks him to cancel the appointment, but he decides to go anyway. The day arrives and the nerves eat at him, due to the so confusing situation, seeing his partner again and having to face one of the hardest moments of his life. But nothing of that is comparable to the horrors and terror that he is going to find in the particular Gotham Café in New York.

And that's what our protagonist will find. What he expected to be a simple formal (and uncomfortable) lunch in which the future of the common goods with his future ex-wife would be decided, will end up becoming one of the most traumatic and surreal moments of his life.

The story is quite enjoyable, it can be read practically in an hour and has the essence of King on every page. The characters are very well constructed even though it is a short text, and without a doubt, the strong point of the story, and what makes it work perfectly, is the setting: a fine restaurant in New York where no matter how much you order, the most likely thing is that you will leave hungry, and a maître d' of the most... particular.

In just 90 pages, King builds a macabre and grotesque story, which, accompanied by the incredible illustrations of Javier Olivares, makes this story as a whole a small gem for every lover of the genius of Maine.

P.D: Browsing the internet, I have discovered that it has a short film adaptation, Gotham Café, from 2005. So it will be time to watch it soon.
