Sad to say I only made 100 pages in since I adored woman in the dunes. Boring and confusing and I don’t care about the missing man at all. I’ll imagine he was lost in the dunes as well because I’m not slogging through 200 more pages to find out.

Detective in search of a missing husband. Strange, disarming, odd and occasionally sinister. All characters with unclear and ambiguous motivations. Parts like a fever dream. Kafka + Murakami.

Not my favourite. Eerie, uncanny, and paranoid. Goes into a lot of detail to make the mundane seem alien but often winds up feeling meandering and boring. I enjoyed a lot of the ways each chapter ended though, a lot of dead pan, abrupt, and sardonic phrases and imagery.

3.5/5, me hizo acordar un poco a Insensatez de Castellanos Moya. Aunque este último me gustó mucho más.
