Rita Mulcahy's book is why I passed my PMP exam. I read the obligatory PMBOK, and attended a very engaging and worthwhile bootcamp. But listening to Rita's latest edition of the PMP Exam Prep on my way to and from work for a month really ended up being the most effective presentation of the material. The PMBOK is dry and difficult to read through. This tries to really make the information appealing for the reader/listener. It was difficult to seek back and forth when I wanted to hear something over again. Also, I'd recommend having the actual print version of the book. That was particularly nice to have for a second pass of the "Tricks of the Trade" and or the areas that I knew were my "problem" areas.
Overall, I'd absolutely recommend this book to anyone studying for the PMP certification.
This was good to get the concepts down. I got frustrated because of some of the contradictions or if you look at the explanations for some of the answers, it restates the answer and doesn't give you a page number or a reason why you got the answer wrong. Don't misunderstand...there are explanations and this book was extremely helpful, but there is definitely room for improvement.
Specific details.. It explains everything regarding the project management For eveeyone who want to pass the PMP exam I highly recommand it (no need to read the pmbok then) Good luck
