Such a sweet book. What a nice tribute to the birth of his daughter.

I love reading Ray Bradbury work and this was a delight. I loved the story, and the illustrations were wonderful. We are all afraid of the dark, the night, especially as young people, and this story makes oyu look at night/dark in a magical way.

Ahhhhh. The Master at work.
Plus, with Leo and Diane Dillon doing the illustrations, nothing short of perfection.

Сигурна съм, че почти всички сме се крили уплашено под завивките и сме виждали чудати и мистериозни сенки в мрака. Въображението понякога може да придобие доста реалистични измерения.

Рей Бредбъри ни запознава с точно този страх, но го представя от такъв ъгъл, че ни показва неговата красота и очарователност. Показва ни колко много изпускаме, ако приемаме тъмнината само и единствено като вземаща, но не и даваща. А тя дава толкова много - луната, звездите, щурците, жабите. Един напълно нов свят!

Miten pimeä nähdään toisin? Jos se laitetaan päälle ja näkyviin. Ei tyhjänä vaan täytenä tähtiä ja kuita ja varjojen muodokkaita hahmoja. Bradburyn tavoin haluan oppia ja opettaa, ettei pelko saa kaventaa elämää.

I just read this for the first time in maybe 20 years, and I think I loved it even more than when I was a kid. My parents really knew what they were doing with the books they gave me. Delightful.
