Fragile doll-like heroine wakes unexpectedly from a coma, she was never expected to survive. Hunky emotionally wounded hero in conflict with losing beloved fiancé, now falling for fragile best friend, I lost count on all the stereotypes......throw in she is a domestic abuse survivor, with telepathic abilities, hunting down bad guys on her own. I believe in K.I.S.S. - keep it simple stupid - I don't need everything and the kitchen sink.
Having read other books in the Bishop SCU series, this isn't the best. Did not connect with the weak Faith/Dinah as a heroine, and super-stud Kane as hero was boring. In fact there was a lot of boring. The pace was slow and little to no romance.
Same rehash of manufactured conflict he said, she overhears, blah, blah, blah - hurt feelings all around and they break up after solving crime to a rushed reunion and HEA.....
Why is this called the Bishop SCU series when he is barely in them?
