Even though I remembered the final twist from previous reads, I still enjoyed the book. Kay Hooper has been one of my favourite authors since her first category romance and was maybe one of the first writers to incorporate paranormal elements into even those books.

Kay Hooper's books are all fabulous reads.

She writes fast-paced mysteries with a supernatural bent.

The team dynamics are perfection and the sexual tension just adds to the story.

I highly recommend these books. They are perfect for reading at the beach or for spending the day curled up in front of the fireplace.

I’m torn. I obviously liked this book enough to read it in one day. The writing was great and the story kept me hooked. But…I did not like the twist. At all. 100% no from me. When incorporating twist into story, now I don’t like story. What a bummer.

Good, I didn’t like the characters as much as the first book. They didn’t seem as fleshed out or as detailed. Still an enjoyable read.

This book was pretty slow going until the end. The ending had more action and surprise twist.

Bishop?

I'm confused. These are grouped as a series of "Bishop/SCU" books. But so far he is just a secondary character. He, nor the FBI, plays much a party of either of these first two books. So I'm confused. Besides that, I didn't enjoy this story as much as the first. It was slow and I had a hard time connecting to the characters.

Not a bad story, more romance and thriller than the first book. I was expecting a little more and it didn't help that I called the ending from the first few chapters. But it was a quick read and I do plan on reading the third book to the series.
So if you are looking for something to pass the time until you decide on your next book this is a decent one for that.

I enjoyed this book. There were a few turns that I did not expect. I think it is interesting how they describe Dinah as if she is alive through Faith. I didn't particularly love the part where Faith gets taken I feel like it gave us more information from what she overheard but I think her being taken then a couple pages later freeing herself was a bit pointless. I also didn't love how her and Kane came together that was a bit odd. It was somewhat answered in the end why that was but still didn't feel like the best move for me.

Boring

This is the second book I've read in this series. I won't read anymore. I don't know why they call it the bishop series when the agent doesn't really have a part in the books.
