If there's one book I could recommend to Millennials and Gen Z'ers interested in politics or current events... it is 100 this book. I learned so much-- I was only born in the 90s, and so much of what happened prior to that or even when I was a kid, the understanding is not there, and no Gen X'ers are really talking about it... I finally understand the "why" of radical Leftists. It makes so much sense now, and it's happening STILL, even right now with bills in Congress, they are trying to do the same things and the end goal is a Marxist utopia (which is impossible- but Leftists don't understand that). When you understand that the Left actually (in a warped way) may have benevolent intentions (but a really immature view of the ability to maintain one's own morality without God), then you start to be able to have this conversation a lot better. Highly, HIGHLY recommend. Also, I'm not generally good at history/politics/etc., but this book is really well written- it's pretty easy to follow. Great writers.
