Highly read recommend this book. certainly tells a story about how we got here, politically. Worthy read and I could only wish it was a "story".

A well written book by an obviously biased author. But that's no surprise. The only people who like George Soros, Hillary Clinton and the Dim party Are those they Pay Off to like them. But what is truly wrong about this book is, the author buys into the idea, the enemy of my enemy is my friend. With the Bush family dynasty this is Not the case. Yes, Soros is an evil Communist who wants to rule over a world where He decides what's fair (OMG). And that's Anathema but then there's the Bush Cheney Rumsfeld NWO WEF OWG Bankster/Communist cabal that uses the idea of terrorism to constrict our Constitution into a Dictatorship (for our own safety). Both are Just as bad... but Soros wants to buy up America for a penny on the dollar. So, good book about bad. But the whole story is Not Told Here!

The organization and writing of the book isn't perfect, but the information is invaluable. The authors discuss how George Soros, Hillary Clinton, and other subversive operatives have transformed the traditional Democratic party into an extreme Left-wing, Progressive political machine using groups like ACORN, Center for American Progress, and others. Their next focus: a global "open society". I thought the authors did a great job of explaining the motives of Soros, a point many journalists often fail to make. The fact that they answer not just "how" but also "why?!" makes the book much more convincing and ties it all together. Should be read by anyone who wonders what happened to the Democratic Party that once represented blue-collar workers and farmers. Also a good read for the other side of the aisle who want to know how it's done and how it can be exposed.

Good book although it’s far from being politically neutral, which create strong view biases on the subjects.

Very revealing, with many sources you can check for yourself. A chilling reminder of where this country is being led and how our institutions have been taken over by communists.

Horowitz lays out with stunning accuracy the formation, intent, and plans of the shadow party ibid.

The coup explained is how the outside influencers orchestrated phony campaign finance reform to force the Democrats into their non identified, but politically aligned system under their command to control the party. The methodology exposed foretells the globalist infiltration happening still a decade later.

I picked this up at the library years ago and just reread it again as a start point on George Soros- for that it has served its purpose very well.

This book is somewhat dated. Describes the relationship between Hilary Clinton and George Soros, and the plans together of these progressives to take control of the Democratic Party. The material is anecdotal for many conservatives and would be enlightening to old school Democrats regarding who actually controls the Democratic Party and the underlying values they espouse; values most rank and file Democrats would not adopt outside pure partisanship.

Published in 2006, this book might seem outdated, although much of its arguments can be applied to global politics today with interesting new insight.

With meticulous research, the book pulls all the strings together of the George Soros Open Society Network. It is a fascinating read for anyone interested and concerned about the future of the world and particular America in a changing landscape where the rules of warfare shifted mostly to the election booths, education, economy, and social institutions.

The book lays out the vast network of organizations and players forming George Soros' Shadow Party, a powerful party of rebels and rulers - a corporate unity of capital and labor, insinuating itself into the heart of the American system.

Political parties can be bought and elections disrupted by the leaders of a state within a state, or a party within a party, with nobody catching onto it.

If I could give this book 6 out of 5 stars, I would.

I first chose to read this book because I wanted to know more about how we as Americans got to where we are today in terms of anti-American propaganda seen in various forms like biased media and street riots. This book is a breathtaking account of how The Shadow Party was formed, which is an alliance of political manipulators masquerading as philanthropists to control governments around the world. The Shadow Party consists of George Soros as well as many other names of famous donors and politicians we are familiar with including the Clinton's. This book documents the history behind how the Shadow Party developed and how it has manipulated politics through central banks, secret donations, mob crime and loopholes within the legal system.

As someone who remembers sitting bored in history class, I wish my teachers had me read this when I was in high school. It would have explained the state that Americans like myself are in, or at least what we are witnessing. Growing up, I always wondered as to why we had so much anti-American propaganda. This book traces that and many other flaws with our reaction to terrorism to the Shadow Party. This book also shows how the Shadow Party infiltrated the Democratic party to manipulate their voters into anti-American beliefs. This book also shares information on how the Shadow Party has worked to manipulate governments in other countries around the world.

I recommend this book to anyone who wants to know more about where anti-American propaganda came from. I also think every student in high school and college should read this book to understand how we got to the point where we are seeing street riots in the United States today with paid radical groups screaming "Death to America".

This book was loaned to me with a strong recommendation to read it. I happen to have read other books and articles by David Horowitz but have never been exposed to the co-author, Richard Poe. I did not purchase this book but will have to have it in my library. The book was originally published in 2006, before the Obama administration and before I ever really heard or understood anything about George Soros. I did know that he was a Jew whose family denounced its Judaism to escape the Holocaust. Soros, it turned out is a very intelligent man who has made billions of dollars and one of the world top thirty billionaires. He has learned the art of making money and was able to show that he could cause the devaluation of the English pound and made a small fortune as a consequence. It seems he never got involved in a project unless it netted him a profit. I raise this as a highlight of the book because the Soros name has been indelibly associated with the Obama name and fame.

The reading of this book albeit post Obama has shed light on how and why the Obama administration pushed its policy toward appeasement and the heretofore leaning toward world government or as it is commonly referred to today “globalization”. As this book lays out this concept it is exactly what George Soros hopes to achieve in his support of so many “leftist” organizations that are formed to manipulate voters and elections. It is important to understand that Hillary Clinton is a big fan of Soros, who by the way, also a big fan of famous leftists who wanted to steer America and any other western democracy toward increased government control of the populations therein.

This seemingly Herculean task is a long process requiring great patience. And the investments of millions of dollars which this book outlines in great details toward these created groups. The most notorious of these groups. :Move On” probably more familiar as “Move On .com” which the public has associated with Michael Moore and his often repugnant political commentaries.

The overlaying political philosophy that George Soros promotes is the idea of an “Open Society” which is a confusing approach to government and the control of the populace. It was developed after World War II by a British philosopher who wanted a way to control people through the operations of government via a democratic vehicle. This is almost, if not, completely objectionable to the whole philosophy of Democracy and freedom. This a subterfuge for control of a society and even though it would seem antithetical to Soros love of making money, this points out that Soros will involve himself in seemingly contradictory movements but in every case, he makes money out of his ventures. A clear case of wealth being used against the populations for personal greed.

The Shadow Party is a book every American should read to fend off chameleon type take overs of our society. After all, it is being applied by leftists right now via the “Shadow” government in this post Obama political arena and supported by a partisan media.

This book is well documented, footnoted and very well written , an easy and captivating read.

I gave this book five stars out of five and will soon have it in my home library.
