All the Shopaholic books are around the same premise- Becky Bloomwood is amazingly self-centered yet very good natured. Her guardian angel is on over time keeping her out of amazing scrapes. The resultant climax usually involves some miraculous rescue of her pride and honor. It also usually involves her rich, handsome, perfect boyfriend. It's pure escapism- perfect for the audiobook car commute,or listening to at the gym. The bits about shopping are incredibly tedious.

Amazing how a change in a book can change my reading habits. I went from reading one or two pages a day of the last book to reading fifty. I much preferred the main character in this book. She grew, although at times I was frustrated by her stupidity, in the end she changed. There were a few scenes where I was LOLing so loud that I was crying. Especially when she was at the gym on the treadmill.

Hilarious, easy fast read and I can't wait for the next ones in the series. After just having gotten married in November the "Shopaholic ties the knot" was priceless!

I started to read the second book in this series and my friend grabbed it out of my hand and gave me the first one. I am glad I did after knowing that the beginning of the second one would completely give away the ending of this book. Who doesn't love Rebecca after reading this book. I am afraid I can relate to her too well. Wish I couldn't. Love how she solves her problems in unique ways. I wouldn't recommend starting the series unless you had all 3 for they are a quick read and once you start you won't be able to put them down until you finish the 3rd one. Of course, you have Shopaholic and a Sister/ Baby to look forward to.

Only read Confessions, and Shopaholic Takes Manhattan. Cute reads, nothing superly impressive. A beautiful woman with a totally messed up life gets everything she wants. If only.

Loved this series. Sometimes I wanted to strangle her (really what was she thinking?), but it was a fun read.

I don't think there is much better in the way of "Chick Lit" than the Confessions series PARTICULARLY these first three books. There are a few things that are annoying like you wonder how ANYONE can be as ignorant and airheaded as Becky Bloomwood. You also wonder how anyone can have so little knowledge of money and budgets (eg. I have a $1000.00 per week shopping addiction so I am going to cut down to spending nothing. no coffee, no lunch, no essentials to save money - I'm sure I won't snap). But there are parts of Becky (even the worst parts) that are relatable in all of us and that is what makes it fun and compulsively readable

I also loved reading about her spending habits. It's almost like shopping through someone else's eyes for free and that just makes me happy. There are parts where you want to grab Becky by the neck and strangle her ( you are a grownup for goodness sake) but I could not think of a better three books to take with me on a quiet weekend away.

Bottom line. If you like Chick Lit and have not read these books. DO SO RIGHT NOW!
