Becky and Luke are back from their honeymoon after travelling many places such as Paris, Amsterdam and Australia. Alot of thing have happened since she went on honeymoon, Suzie has twins, a new best friend (a dis likeable one at that) and her parents are acting strange (due to the fact of discovering her dad has another daughter).

The Angel bag is the start of all the problems (Nathan Temple being one) or should I say drama's of the book. Along with all the other pieces of rubbish she brought on honeymoon. I really thought she'd changed in #3 but I was wrong the shopaholic is back. This woman has alot to thank Ebay for.

I love how her sister Jess hates shopping, Becky not everyone likes shopping but it's okay for you not to like rocks either. I find Jess very hot and cold one minute I find her funny the next I don't like how she treats Becky just for being different. Jess is at her most annoying to me in the supermarket I really was yelling shut up inside my head. However in parts I don't like how Luke is treating her either. I feel she's being underestimated again just like Becky i get the impression Luke thinks she is crap and Jess is fab. It is like Becky is so inferior and I don't like that because she's not even with the shopping habit.

Becky makes her way to Cumbria (where Jess is from) and I love the descriptions of the place having grew up there I was loving being reminded of Kendal Mint Cake and many other of the beauties up in the north.

Up a mountain Becky has an accident and it takes her running off and having this accident for everyone to crowd round her again. Jess is at her best towards the end of this book, Suzie is back to normal and Luke would have been full of guilt if she hadn't pulled through. Maybe he should have said don't be like Jess be like you a little sooner. However Becky does sort of score her own points against him with the protest which was funny.

The end feeds nicely into the next book.

It’s been ages since I read this the first time. I could not remember much about it at all and think I enjoyed it more the second time around. This time, not everything is rosy with Rebecca Bloomwood and she has to experience some difficult life-lessons.

The shopaholic titles are silly, romantic, celebrate friendship, miscommunication, and communication, uh, did I say silly? Lots of silly.

There could be a cautionary tale in the pages, with Bloomswood optimism, per shopping addiction, but the books are ultimately about being ones self. Am I being too optimistic? Okay, I'm addicted, not to shopping, but to this series!

Irresistible, one-woman shopping phenomenon Becky Bloomwood is back in this hilarious, heartwarming, New York Times bestselling tale of married life, best friends, and long-lost sisters (and the perils of simply having to own an Angel handbag!).

Honestly, this was my least favorite of the series butttttt I still enjoyed it. How could you not? We are reading about Becky's amazing life. Add a long-lost sister who is not into clothes, shoes, and handbags, oh my! Well, you are going to get a cute and fun read.

4 stars, 7/10.

Most people have said that they enjoyed this book as part of the series, and I would have to agree. I did enjoy this book.

If you haven't read any of her other books, you may not understand the usual characters and their relationship with Becky.  Characters such as Suze, Luke, and her parents, do not play a big role in the book, so it's a good idea to do the series.

Throughout this series, I have been enjoying the audiobooks, wherever audiobooks are available that is.  At the beginning, I had to re-wind the first 15 mins of this book, because I had to adjust myself to the new narrator, Josephine Bailey.  I wasn't too sure if I would like her voice, but she was great in the end.

What I liked about this book was that it's a story about Becky returning home after some time. Previously, she spent some time working in New York and some more time traveling the world. Two years have passed, but this could easily be 10 yrs, as so much has changed in her life.

Becky returns to find that her family and friends are somewhat distant.  They have had to survive without her whilst she was gone.  To distract herself with her disappointment and unemployment, she discovers the joy of eBay.  I, myself, used to do quite a bit of eBaying, so I found this part to be relatable.

The first 30% of the book goes on about Becky's honeymoon and all the stuff she bought on her travels. Because Becky is an addict, she ended up buying some unnecessary multiples.

In "Shopaholic Ties the Knot", Becky seems to have it all and this started to grate on me, so I'm glad that Becky has been brought back to reality.  She's not exactly the most frugal person, because this is Becky we're talking about here, but she does start to wake up to her problem and how it has left her marriage in tatters.

Although her new found, long lost sister, Jess is the total opposite of Becky, Becky is not deterred to find something in common with her. Jess gived some great money-saving tips throughout the book, which made me curious how much luxury gyms cost in London.

Jess knit picks at all the small things, like how to shop in a supermarket on a budget.  It made sense why the conversation between Jess and Becky became so heated in a supermarket, because we all need food, but Jess points out to Becks that she doesn't need all the things she's putting into her cart.  For instance, Becky puts three packs of tea in her cart, only because she can get the free gift, however she doesn't even drink Jasmine tea.

Fav quote -  "If she gives me another lecture about potatoes, then I'm out of here". (In more or less words).

Although the usual characters were not around much in this book, there is a romantic rain scene at the end. Despite all the arguing, Becky and Luke still love each other.  But it's not all about romance and saving her marriage, it's about self-discovery and regaining her self worth and confidence.

This book felt quite far from most of the other books that I've read so far, (which is book 1,2,3,3.5,5,9), but I felt it was needed. I like how this book points out what you can buy whilst traveling, and the things you can buy closer to home. Are you looking for something original? And is it really worth it? Can you find it at your local John Lewis, rather than lugging it across the globe for 6,000 miles. And are you helping your community or yourself?

The next book is, "Shopaholic and Baby". This was the book which I first picked up and fell in love with, by Sophie Kinsella. I loved her fantasy world so much, I became a Kinsella-holic!  I'm so excited to read the next book from a fresh new perspective, after following Becky's journey throughout the Shopaholic series.

Wat een heerlijk boek was dit weer. Ik kon me af en toe ontzettend inleven in Becky en voelde met haar mee. Uiteraard kon ik af en toe ook weer lachen om de acties en toevalligheden. Op naar het volgende boek in de serie

Wow the second time around of reading this book and my rating has definitely improved (and by 2 freaking stars!). Although I liked this book it did have some slow parts or I guess really boring parts in the book. Other than it, Rebecca is still highly entertaining and I just love how she is so freaking obsessed with shopping. I liked the new twist of her having a half-sister and how Jess was the complete opposite of Rebecca. Their friendship was really funny to read about and I'm glad that they sort of accepted each other towards the end of the book. I still love Rebecca's friendship with Suze and I'm happy that it continues to be strong. I still love her marriage with Luke - even though they did have a few rough patches. The ending was pretty interesting as well - I wonder how the next book will play it all out. I can't wait to re-read it!

What the fuck?

WHEN IS BECKY GOING TO LEARN HOW TO BE A HALF WAY REASONABLE HUMAN BEING???

Oh my god, I just get increasingly ANGRY at her inability to be ration for more than two seconds. I don't understand how this woman is supposedly an adult. How long does it take to figure out that LYING and HIDING STUFF never is a good idea? Especially when she does it?

This girl just doesn't learn. Maybe I just hate when people unnecessarily lie to their partners and best friends.

And I am totally pissed at Danny for being a flake.

By this book, Becky Bloomwood is too annoying to read about. It's the same crap over and over again, and after three books of reading the same jokes, she's no longer funny, she's infuriating. I think that's the problem with this series. Since the main character suffers from an addiction, she's obviously supposed to exhibit the same behavior time after time. But this series is supposed to be funny, and if you hear a joke too many times, it loses its humor. Not only that, but since Becky never shows any improvement in the subsequent novels, it makes their endings worthless. In each book, Becky has some big epiphany at the end and we're led to believe that she's going to be more level-headed about her shopping, but then every sequel starts with Becky acting just as stupid as she was in the very beginning. It kind of makes you feel like everything she goes through is for nothing.

Becky also reaches extreme levels of stupidity--oops, I meant "ditziness"--in this novel. At least in the first two books she had SOME intelligence, but here she's just plain dumb. Sophie Kinsella has stated that she originally planned her "Shopaholic" series to end after the third one, in which Becky gets married to Luke. According to her, she just missed Becky too much and decided she had to bring her back! Well, it shows. This plot is extremely contrived. All of a sudden Becky has a long lost sister whose biggest personality trait is her hate for shopping? Gimme a break. It would've been a better move for Kinsella to just skip straight to "Shopaholic & Baby" (which also sucks but is better than this one) and not bother with such a dumb storyline.

Personally, I think Kinsella should have ended this series after "Shopaholic Takes Manhattan."

If I was Becky, I would've left Luke and made him suffer by being absent for a long time. Out of the four books (for book one to four), this was my least favorite. I didn't like Jess or maybe it was because I was a shopaholic myself or something.
