Another great book from Sophie Kinsella. These books are funny and very entertaining. They are a great way to escape from life for a few hours although I’ve read them once before it was quite awhile ago so it was like reading them for the first time.

Siapa nyana Becky malah ketemu konglomerat baik hati yg menolongnya mendapatkan tas Angel yg sangat dia idam-idamkan, yg selalu dia tunjuk2 dr majalah ke depan hidung Luke.

Becky sengaja mau memberi kejutan kepulangan mendadak di London. Eh malah Becky yg dapat kejutan. Setelah kesal "dikacangin" oleh Suze dan Lulu (teman baik terbaru Suze) di pesta permandian anak kembar mereka, Becky gembira dan kelewat antusias menerima kabar bhw dia memiliki seorang kakak sungguhan, Jess.

Apa yg diharapkan Becky berbeda dgn kenyataan. Jess sangat bertolak belakang dgn Becky. Jess tidak suka shopping, tidak suka make up, tidak suka menonton film-film romantis. Jess hanya suka batu-batuan konyol. Jess pelit dan memperhitungkan segala pengeluarannya. Jess mencela cara belanja Becky yg super fun dan mengguncang adrenalin. Jess menganggap Becky konyol.

Barang2 belanjaan selama bulan madu datang dgn 2 truk kontainer penuh. Becky yg kreatif menjual sebagian besar barang2 tsb di eBay, tetapi dia swap dgn mantel vintage. Becky masih menyembunyikan pertemuannya dgn Nathan Temple (konglomerat yg menolongnya mendapatkan tas Angel tsb) krn asumsi Luke bhw org ini bajingan. Becky mengatakan Luke "sakit" dlm rangka menolak keinginan Nathan utk menggunakan perusahaan PR Luke. Hei, siapa sangka Nathan tetap gigih menunggu "kesembuhan" Luke?

Of all the Shopaholic books on my shelf, this one always looked the least appealing to me, but it turns out that Shopaholic and Sister is (so far) the one which has made me laugh out loud the most! I found this book genuinely hilarious and there were times when I had to put down the book to keep from laughing like a doofus in public. This novel gave me so much joy, I can't even express what a treat and just how much fun this was to read!

All that said, this did come across as a filler novel to me. I don't feel that it was all that important or necessary to the Becky Bloomwood series. I loved reading it, but also could have done without it. But hey, who am I to give my opinion? I liked it, and that's all that matters!

Now, on to number five!

Sophie Kinsella is my go to author when I want to read something lighthearted and fun. I thought this book was slightly better than the third in the series.

Look. Sometimes I read shitty chick lit. That doesn't make me a bad person. This book annoyed me 91% of the time. But it wasn't as bad as other chick lit I've read. Sure, I wanted to slap the main character, but... yeah, actually that was about it.

I think the problem is I hate chick lit but read it anyway. WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME. Please send help.

Book Four is set ten months after the events of book 3. Becky and Luke have been gallivanting all over the world, exploring ancient sites and shopping for souvenirs. Well, the latter is really just Becky! With the recent news that Suze's twins are about to be christened, Becky and Luke return to London in the hopes of surprising everyone. But England holds a few surprises of its own. First, Suze appears to have replaced Becky with a new best friend. Second, Becky finds out that she has a half-sister, Jessica. Excited to have someone to bond with, Becky's hopes are very high. But do these two women actually have anything in common?

Becky Bloomwood Brandon is highly entertaining as always. With only two Shopaholic books left and book 4 really giving a good cliffhanger, I can only imagine what antics are still to come.

My least favourite so far. I don't think it deserves all of the bad reviews it's already got but it's true that it doesn't really compare to the other 3. Becky has never annoyed me this much before.

It's still a fun read though and our favourite gang's all there. The story follows the same steps as in the previous ones i.e. Becky gets in over her head until she absolutely has to tell Luke, they have a major fight and at the end reconcile, of course. The one thing this book made me realise is Becky Bloomwood basically owns all of the same DVDs as me :p

And I still stand by the fact that I want my own Luke.

I read these in the hopes that Becky will finally learn a lesson. At the end, it seems that she has, but I have a feeling, it won't last for long. LOL

“Material possessions aren't important to me," I say breathlessly. "All that matters to me is yoga.”

This has to be one of my favourite instalments in the series, gosh I love Becky so much and every time I read one of these books I start thinking and writing in British English these novels are just so hilarious, I can't have enough of them!

This was an amazing read. This is my ninth Sophie Kinsella story, and fourth book of the Shopaholic series. I loved every minute of it. The humor in her stories makes the book more enjoyable. I loved Becky. She is a silly, yet lovable main female character. Luke is an amazing male character. He may be an entrepreneur, but I love how he is able to love Becky even though she has her flaws and quirks.

I really loved this book. We get to see more into the change of Becky's character. She went from being obsessed shopper to a bit of a brat to sensible human being. I know she has tendencies that make her annoying, but the rest of the time she makes me laugh. I thought we got to see more into their marriage and it showed how a marriage really is. Also, I really liked the ending and the fact that it hints to the next book. Can't wait for Shopaholic & Baby. Overall, a fantastic read.

Becky and Luke are back from their honeymoon after travelling many places such as Paris, Amsterdam and Australia. Alot of thing have happened since she went on honeymoon, Suzie has twins, a new best friend (a dis likeable one at that) and her parents are acting strange (due to the fact of discovering her dad has another daughter).

The Angel bag is the start of all the problems (Nathan Temple being one) or should I say drama's of the book. Along with all the other pieces of rubbish she brought on honeymoon. I really thought she'd changed in #3 but I was wrong the shopaholic is back. This woman has alot to thank Ebay for.

I love how her sister Jess hates shopping, Becky not everyone likes shopping but it's okay for you not to like rocks either. I find Jess very hot and cold one minute I find her funny the next I don't like how she treats Becky just for being different. Jess is at her most annoying to me in the supermarket I really was yelling shut up inside my head. However in parts I don't like how Luke is treating her either. I feel she's being underestimated again just like Becky i get the impression Luke thinks she is crap and Jess is fab. It is like Becky is so inferior and I don't like that because she's not even with the shopping habit.

Becky makes her way to Cumbria (where Jess is from) and I love the descriptions of the place having grew up there I was loving being reminded of Kendal Mint Cake and many other of the beauties up in the north.

Up a mountain Becky has an accident and it takes her running off and having this accident for everyone to crowd round her again. Jess is at her best towards the end of this book, Suzie is back to normal and Luke would have been full of guilt if she hadn't pulled through. Maybe he should have said don't be like Jess be like you a little sooner. However Becky does sort of score her own points against him with the protest which was funny.

The end feeds nicely into the next book.
