Having taken ballet since I was a little girl, I love anything about ballet. This was a very accurate and informative book that didn't portray ballerinas with ribbons tied all the way up and being turned this way and that by male performers. I liked the more real take on the practices, rehearsals, costumes, etc. The pictures were great, and the glossary in the back with the french terms was awesome :)

Being a ballet dancer I really found this book to be fun and informative. I liked how it discussed many popular ballets and the differences between them. I also really enjoyed the glossary and index of this book, and how it talked about each move and what it was, because sometimes when you are dancing you are given a command and it helps to know what it means. I think any dancer would enjoy this book to see how closely it relates to what they know and are taught.
