This book really opens your eyes in regards to possibly understanding what others must go through to fight and die for their beliefs. With as many doubts as I have had, and I would say most do but do not speak about, it really reminds me of how much people are willing to give away for belief in Someone who cannot be fully comprehended here on this earth.

Do you that there are countries that don't allow you to follow Christ? You would go to a prison or die if caught, or . Jesus freaks is a very deep books about people for Christ. A Jesus Freak is defined as a person who is willing to die for Christ, and not doubt their faith. This book was made by d.c talk, a band with members including Toby Mac. This book is composed mainly of short true stories of people who lived for Christ. Every person, no matter from what time, was either put into prison, or killed. One example was a young Chinese girl who told God to help the intruders capturing and killing the people in a illegal church group. She was killed from being shot in the head. What I liked the most about the book was how certain stories ended with the person getting out of prison. Also, I liked how after every couple of stories, there was a very appropriate verse from the Bible afterwards. What I didn't like was that there was a lot of stories that were just short, and I wish that they were longer. Also, I wish that they talked deeper about what a Jesus freak was at the beginning. This book was a very great read and makes you think very deep about how faithful you are to Christ. It makes you think throughout the book, "Would I do it for Christ, or would I lie."

This book will challenge your Christian walk. At the time in my life I read it, I was going through a really difficult, post-adolescent time and it woke me up. Whatever I was going through, I wasn't a martyr, I just had a rough time. I could be going through much worse for much less. It inspired me to be a stronger, better Christian. It spurred me towards seeking God's calling for my life, and being obedient to answering that calling.

Highly recommend this book to teenagers, college age kids, young adults, middle-age adults, old adults. Anybody ages 14 and older.
