Ανατριχιαστικό, old school θριλερακι.

Pet friendly.

A happily married couple loves all animals and has had many pets throughout their marriage, the latest being an adopted lovely black cat, Pluto. But over the years the owner becomes increasingly volatile, and the cat has a temper of its own.

As a lover of all things animals, and especially of dogs and cats, I must say this little shortie hit a sensitive spot. So if you are one too, you might consider it a TW.

Still, by all accounts, widely regarded as one of the finest stories Poe has ever written, and since it’s my personal second favorite of the man, I guess we can agree on that one. But man, you just don't mess with cats!

Recommendable; and for meager twenty something pages, just meow be worth checking out.

Se admiten mascotas.

Una pareja felizmente casada ama todos los animales y ha tenido muchas mascotas a lo largo de su matrimonio, la última siendo un hermoso adoptado gato negro, Pluto. Pero con el paso de los años el dueño se vuelve cada vez más volátil, y el gato tiene su temperamento propio.

Como amante de todo lo animal, y especialmente de perros y gatos, debo decir que este pequeño cuentito tocó una parte sensible. Así que, si vos también lo sos, tal vez deberías considerarlo como una advertencia.

Aún así, a todas cuentas, ampliamente considerado como uno de los mejores cuentos cortos que Poe haya escrito jamás, y dado que es mi segundo favorito personal del señor, supongo que estamos de acuerdo en eso. Pero hombre, uno no se mete con los gatos!

Recomendable; y por escasas veintitantas páginas, puede que valga miaucho echarle un vistazo.

Increíble, como siempre...
Me encantó, ya soy fan de Allan Poe, pero cada relato de él que voy conociendo me sorprende muchísimo más.
Mí favorito siempre será "El Corazón Delator", pero este está en segundo lugar. Que razonamiento más extraordinario y que conciencia más perturbadora.
Sus acciones, sus pensamientos.
Es oscuro, y escrito de una manera que te atrapa.
Algo que me pareció muy igual al final de sus otros relatos es en el final, que si me gustó, pero esperaba algo más.
De todas maneras, este autor está entre mis favoritos, y pienso seguir leyendo más libros de él.

“Who has not, a hundred times, found himself committing a vile or a silly action for no other reason than because he knows he should not?”

Poe gives us a disturbing creepy glimpse into the mind of a man who shows no remorse for his cruel deeds ,someone who always blame it on outside factors ;giving false reasoning for his unjustifiable acts .In this short story mr Poe illustrates the capacity of human mind to plan his own doom and deterioration ,the worst thing is that he's fully aware of his mental state yet he's unable to reverse his downfall to madness.

يا لها من قصة عبقرية ومجنونة وصادمة.
كيف يمكن أن تبدأ القصة، وتنتهي بهذا الاختلاف الشاسع، وبهذه التصرفات غير العقلانية.
كيف تمكن "إدغار آلان بو" من تحويل شخص مسالم لطيف محب للحيوانات إلى شخص مجنون سادي يعذب كل شيء أمامه دون سبب واضح أو مقنع حتى لنفسه هو.
من الصعب أن تقول أو لا تقول شيئاً عن هذه القصة، هي قصيرة ومختزلة لأقصى درجة ممكنة.
وهذا في حد ذاته دليل على عبقرية، وتمكن الكاتب من تحويل قصة قصيرة تحمل كل هذه المعاني في داخلها.
تمكن "إدغار آلان بو" من وصف خفايا النفس البشرية، وكيف يمكن أن تتحول لسبب أو بدون سبب لشيء مختلف تماماً عما كانت عليه، وكيف يمكن أن تنقلب حياتكَ رأساً على عقب، وتبقى تسير في ذلك الطريق الذي لايعجبك، ولا يناسبك، ولكنك تسير لأن لا مجال للعودة إلى الخلف.

أحببت هذه القصة للغاية، بالرغم من غرابتها وجنونها، إلا أنها مثيرة للاهتمام بشكل لا يصدق.
لقد استمعت لها باللغة العربية وأيضا باللغة الإنجليزية.
الترجمة العربية هذه المرة كانت ممتازة بصراحة. اختيار الكلمات والسرد كان ساحراً لم يؤثر في جمال القصة أو إضعاف لغة الكاتب الأصلية، ولكن مع ذلك اللغة الإنكليزية الأصلية كانت أفضل وأقوى وأكثر جنوناً.

I have never read Edgar Allan Poe’s writing before. So after reading this short story, I was immediately intrigued. Right after I finished reading this story I was like “Whoa… What did I just read?” This is one of the darkest tales that I have ever read. Horrifying! Gruesome! Edgar Allan Poe is literally the master of horror!

Poe gives a disturbing creepy glimpse into the mind of the narrator. The narrator begins with his kind and human younger self. In subsequent years he descended into madness and violence due to the addiction of alcohol. I immediately hated the narrator when he lose control and cut open his pet cat’s eye out. Vile! Inhuman! Animal cruelty is a terrible thing, it was a very uncomfortable read and made me squirmed when the narrator detailed his cruelty. It’s true that animal abusers tend to be psychopaths.

The story is perfectly eerie and dark. I personally think that a truly scary and disturbed bad guy is the strength of any story. I’m not going to reveal much on the plot as this is a short story. I would like to invite all of you to read it here The Black Cat

I particularly loved the ending. The Black Cat is a story adorned by unexpected twists and a surprising ending, completed with Poe's grand writing style.

Ugh, this is the second time I read this story. I feel the horror just like i did the first time that was when in high school i was learning English. At that time i read an easier writing of the story. I never anticipated the beauty of the writing style, then. This is a well written, horrifying short story everyone should read at least once.

An excellent short and macabre story about a human insane state.


Termine Notre Dame de Paris como a la8:00 de la noche y como estaba lloviendo casi diluviando se fue la luz, no tenia casi batería en el celular así que no lo toque porque lo ocupo para el despertador por lo tanto agarre la primera historia corta de las Obras Completas gratis para Kindle de Poe que me encontré. Y aquí estoy. :D

Muy interesante el aura de desesperación que se maneja. Muy buen relato con un gran final. Esero leer más del autor en un futuro, pero quiero conseguirme alguna recopilación en físico. Ya veremos.

Η έκδοση που διάβασα έχει 4 ιστορίες. Ο Μαύρος Γάτος, Μετζενγκερστάιν, Σαλταπήδας και Εσύ Είσαι ο Δολοφόνος. Ο Μαύρος Γάτος κερδίζει στα σημεία!

اول قراءة ل ادجار الان بو
بفضله استطاع ان يزيد كرهى للقطط :)

بعد بداية بريئة ل شاب محب للحيوانات و مقتنى منهم الكثير و اخيرا القط بلوتو تنقلب الى رعب نفسى بسبب تقلبات المزاج الناتجة عن ادمان الخمر التى اودت بكثير من الاحداث المرعبة لتحوله الى الشر المطلق .

القصة كانت من المستحيل ان تكون الكلب الاسود , الكلب سيسامحك الكلب وفى و لن يضمر لك الشر " بغض النظر عن ما حصل لرامزى بولتون " القط على العكس , لا تحاول ابدا اغضابه لانى لن ينسى و سيودى الى هلاكك

الملاحظ فى كتابات بو و الذى يميزها ان الرعب بها من اسوء انواع الرعب " الرعب النفسى" عندما تودى بنفسك الى الجنون و هذا ما جعلها تنتشر و تحجز مكانها دائما حتى بعد مرور اكثر من قرن و نصف

تاثره فى هذة القصة بالتقلبات المزاجية الناتجة عن ادمان الخمر الذى اثر فى جزء كبير من حياته لدرجة قوله
" افضل صديق لى هو ذلك الذى يجهز علي بطلق نارى "
القصة ممتازة و شاملة و بها رسم مميز للشخصية الرئيسية من غير تطويل و نهاية مرضية و عادلة

اعتقد لو كان لبطل القصة حديث " القطة " ف اعتقد انها ستكون
