The only Dick Francis I've read so far where the protagonist wasn't a part time Jockey, but of course the book involves the racing world. This story was exciting and fast-paced but the narrator spends a lot of time telling us how much hard luck he has endured and it's a bit off putting after a while

Different but still revolving around the racing world. This time our main character is a pilot. As always, Dick Francis is always giving us an intimate look at another world. World of charter pilots. Amazing how you become instantly drawn to the world he describes and still giving us our murder mystery. Thank you Dick Francis! I wish I could see a movie based on your novels.
