These "first" books are absolutely wonderful! The illustrations are very nice and so eye catching for non readers. This one told about what Ma and Pa did to get ready for Christmas company and Laura's Uncle and Aunt and family coming over to play and stay for Christmas day. And Laura getting her new Christmas doll. This was my first "My First Little House Books" and I LOVED them, am so glad I found them now I won't have to wait until my 2 year old granddaughter is older to share with her the wonderfully sweet stories of Laura and History back in pioneer days! LOVED THIS BOOK!

A cute and fast retelling of a scene from Little House in the Big Woods. The boys seemed disinterested, but my 5 year old daughter was absolutely captivated and wants to read more of the picture book version of the series.

What can I say, I am a Little House junkie. I just love it all and this book, with its lovely illustrations and Christmas theme is such a cozy read.

This is a really nice one. I loved reading about their traditions, and how family was the main event. They got very little in the way of presents, but they were so grateful. It makes me want to have an old-fashioned Christmas!

I have always loved this series and this was the first book I ever had from that series. It is beautifully illustrated with an easy to read speed. It really makes me want to read the series again.
