This is a great series showing what can happen if you only believe!

I am thoroughly enjoying this series! Coming from the front end of the Revolutionary War-- and seeing it from point of view of colonists and of the British is eye-opening and interesting. I enjoy the characters and can't wait to read #4!!

Book #3 of the Song of Acadiana. Christian historical novel set in England just before the Revolutionary War. Very good. Enjoyed the storyline. Religious discussions and growing faith of the characters were foremost in the story. Not at all preachy as I found book #2 to be.

I couldn’t even finish this book. It was so much more boring than the first two in this series. I felt like there was a good conclusion in the end of book 2, so I didn’t necessarily feel a need to keep reading.

I really like this series. I like the author's talent in being able to continue a story from mothers to daughters, with ease and finesse. Usually, when a book moves from the main character(s) to their children, or other people and continues the saga, I either don't like it, wish it would end, or get bored. In this case, however, I'm just as interested in the daughter's lives as I was in their mothers, in previous books. I don't know what the difference is, but it works. I will finish the series. I think there are 5 books. So, I like them.

Skimmed. I'm only finishing the series because I want to know what happens in this story.
The characters, story and history are interesting.
As I said before, too slow moving and too much searching for GOD for my taste.

Nicole goes to England to become Charles heir. Ann's husband dies. Nicole tries to fit into English society but it's just not for her. She returns to America and of course Capt. Goodwin is on the ship. He will be her future. Ann has baby John and they stay in England. John becomes the heir, because his great grandmother was Charles Aunt. A surprising twist, but the estates stay in the family after all. Ann is falling in love with Thomas.

Definitely got better nearer the end than the beginning, which was slow, superficial and confusing. How did these girls get two sets of parents? A short explanation somewhere in the book would have added another star. The book did not flow in the beginning either and it was painful to wade through so many words that said nothing.

The beginning of this book was better then the second half. I felt it was tapered off and became a little boring. I continue to enjoy this series but this one just fell flat for me.
I liked how the author continues to add new elements to each book, making them separate and how they don't run together in my memory.

Another great installment in this series. Honestly, I felt more connected to this one than the sequel in the series. There was more historical content, which is a plus for me, and I felt like I really connected with the characters and the time period. I loved how the characters really displayed God's heart.
