Rosie has a family that she grew up with. They promised to be there for each other.

It is a nice read but the names of the characters were confusing because some were alike.

did not like this book. could not get into the story.

Meh this was ok. A lot of unnecessary detail and a rushed ending.

1993. Read by Lorelei King. Four orphans meet as late teens. They promise to be there for each other, always. Rose is an award winning costume designer. Gavin is an actor. Kevin, Rose's brother, is an under cover cop, infiltrating the Rudolfo mafia. And, Nell is an entrepreneur, owning her own business. They have not been forthright about who their true loves are and now in their early thirties are floundering in their personal life. Then, Johnny Fortune comes along; he is a world renown singer and heart throb and client of Nell. He falls for Rose. He is a son of the head of the Rudolfo family, only he doesn't know it. It's pretty tangled up.

Easy read. Nothing specific.

It was good. The ending was pretty abrupt so that was a big part of the rating. The characters were interesting but it felt stilted... there were "key" characters but we never got to know them which was frustrating. It almost felt like it was part of a series and I missed the beginning

Gave up after about 30%. Thin, predictable plot. Too many characters. Now giving up with Barbara Taylor Bradford

Good Read

An interesting group of characters, however, it was a bit too drawn out for me. However, it was worth the read, lots of deep connections and enjoyable!

I'm a fan of Bradford, but didn't think this was as good as some of her other works. Still, made for a good lockdown read!
