I'm struck by how violent and dark this book is. We're really grappling with how war is not glorious or heroic at all, huh. I'm all for it . . . I'd just love to get back to the learning.

These books are not to my taste. The plot is pretty predictable and while this book was a little more exciting, I just am finding it to be boring. Philip however loves them. But this is mostly because the characters are owls and he is very much in love with owls.

I love this book so much! I wish I was an owl in this world. I would live in the tree and be in the Colliering Chaw. I want to do this because it sounds risky and fun!

This was a good book. I read it in about three days. I want to get a of the series
