This book is my favorite of the legends so far. I love all of the wolves, my favorites are Fengo and Namara. I read the wolves of the Beyond first, and I'll say that Dunleavy MacHeath is like Heep. Onto, To Be A King!
I think both Hoole's and Coryn's stories suffer from being so close to each other in the series - Hoole's is, of course, far more detailed than Coryn's, I think, but the problem is that Coryn's story felt so short because if it were longer all this information would be repeated again in these books
I think I like the *idea* of hagsfiends, but I think they get misused later on in the series so I can't enjoy them now if that makes sense?
Guardians of Ga'Hoole: The Coming of Hoole (Guardians of Ga'Hoole Book 10) Summary: THE LEGENDS... A tale of chaos, betrayal and nachtmagen unfolds in the second of three ancient legends. It is no idle history, for hidden in its pages are truths about the great promise - and great danger - that lie just ahead for the Guardians. And so Soren, Coryn, and the members of the Band read on: A grizzled collier will tend a young prince in exile. An owl who would be a monk will don battle claws. A mother who is also a queen will raise an army. And under the shower of embers in the shadow of the Sacred Volcanoes, a king will be born - or die.

Opening Line: "Octavia, the pudgy, elderly, blind nest-maid snake, slithered out onto the branch outsider her old master's hollow."
Quote: "Just remember, friends don't make the animal. Animals make friends."
Book 10 of this great series completed. Wow,it just gets better and better. I know, I keep saying this. I mean it though. I will be last when I go through these last few books. Wow! give these a read!
