I really enjoyed this book. It gives just the right amount of backstory for Catwoman (in my opinion) and ties nicely into Frank Miller's Batman Year One. I like Selina's motivations, her relationship with her sister, and her protectiveness over Holly Robinson (who grows up to be very important in the DCU). Most importantly this book sets up the long on/off relationship with Selina and Bruce as sometimes lovers/allies - sometimes enemies. Now was the perfect time for me to go back and read this since Catwoman and Batman's romantic relationship is a huge plot point in current continuity, and this is where it begins....ending the book with their first kiss. I would say the only thing I dislike about this is the art style. It's obviously and purposefully copying Mazzucchelli's from Year One, and while stylistically it succeeds in this, it's not as good. Certain panels are too dark for my taste, and the faces don't always look the same frame to frame. Some faces, the mouths especially, are just ugly. But that doesn't detract too much from the story, and I'm happy to have this in my collection.
