Good story

It still a 5 star but it could use a editor for typing errors. It was a tiny distracting. However the story really is a good one. Too good to be overlooked because of those errors.

Expected more

After reading all of the positive reviews I expected to like this a lot more than I did. Part of the problem for me is the book is written from only Jenny's POV. But she was way less interesting than Lizzie so I felt like I was missing a huge part of the story. Besides Jenny's breakup at the beginning of the book and the flashbacks of her childhood with Lizzie, not much else is going on with her except the constant will they/won't they with Lizzie. On the other hand Lizzie is a nun debating leaving the church, being pursued by a criminal, beaten by her mother etc. But we never get too deep into any of those issues. And the never-ending "gazes" that almost lead to Jenny and Lizzie getting back together gets a little old after awhile. I thought it could be a good story but needed a better editor to really flesh out the story. Also I bought this on my kindle fire. The formatting was horrible. Single spaced then double spaced then no space. Different fonts, missing words all made for a distracting reading experience.

I thought the love affair was touching and I enjoyed the book. However, the big spoiler was the really bad editing/printing. Words ran into each other on most pages, and sometimes the dialogue passages weren't separated. This was an eBook version I purchased and it was off-putting having to decipher words. It was disappointing because I thought it a good novel.

I got frustrated a lot by Lizzie. ...I felt her indecision wasn't fair to Jenny but again the book was written primarily on Jenny's POV so I guess that didn't leave much to understand Lizzie. Also the story was really sappy and I found myself multiple times rolling my eyes till they hurt :)
