زرافه و من و پلی
سفید و زرد و فلفلی!
این قصه‌ی رولد دال خیلی بامزه بود و نقاشی‌های خیلی قشنگی داشت. داستان زرافه و پلیکان و میمونی که شرکت شیشه پاک‌کنی بدون نردبان رو اداره می‌کردن و آشناییشون با بیلی، پسربچه‌ای که همیشه دوست داشت یه قنادی داشته باشه.
در کل سافت و صورتی و گوگولی بود، مثل گل هایی که زرافه از درخت تینکل-تینکل می‌خورد.
_راننده چند بار به در گرابر ضربه زد. نگاه کرد به بالا و ما را دید. زرافه و پلی و من و میمون خیره شده بودیم به او؛ اما چهره اش هیچ تغییری نکرد، تکانی به ابرویش هم نداد. راننده های آدم های پولدار از هیچ چیز تعجب نمی‌کنند‌.

Aw, cute! This was a really sweet story, about Billy, who meets a Giraffe, a Pelly, and a Monkey. The 'Me' in the title, is the monkey, although the story is told in Billy's first-person POV.

This is going to be a short review, as I don't have much to say. The thing is, even because this book was really cute, it wasn't like the other masterpieces. There was not much of a conflict which was needed to be solved, and I didn't see any objective to it. Maybe next time :(

TGATPAE is probably Dahl’s most sweetest and simplest story I’ve read so far in his catalogue. It centers on a little boy who dreams of owning his own candy store

I love this book as I love most of Roald Dahl's offerings. I especially loved what I can see of him in the story. I am glad that I read his autobiography because it does make his stories even more delightful when you see young Roald on the page, living out a childhood fantasy that I know he dreamed!

Out of all the Roald Dahl I've read this was the least enjoyable so far. The story felt thrown together.

I really enjoyed this books. Clean and simple fun for kids and the illustrations by Quentin Blake always make Dahl's books that much better. Kids would be able to read this on their own and it would also make a good bedtime story, I think.
Magical animals, an eccentric old Duke and lots of Chocolate.
It's got everything!
I wish some day I'd be able to write something so sweet and whimsical and nice and great for kids.

Pure delight! And beautifully narrated by Hugh Laurie.

Quite a cute story.

Billy discovers that someone bought the old candy store...and that someone happens to be a giraffe, a pelican and a monkey.

They've opened a window cleaning company, using the monkey's hands to wash, the pelican's beak as a bucket and the giraffe as a ladder. Quite a clever set up!

As you can imagine, this story is full of whimsy and delightful coincidences as they meet the Duke, catch a robber and find a home.

و دنیایی می سازه که چنین ترکیب عجیب و غریبی رو در عین فوق‌العاده بودن ممکن می دونه
اگر رولد دال خونده باشید (مخصوصا اگر باهاش بزرگ شده باشید) بعد از مدتی حتی اگر اسمش روی کتاب نباشه، می تونید کتاب هاش رو از روی نشانه هایی که به جا می‌گذاره بشناسید
اینجا هم یک پسر بچه هست که رویای اینو داره که مغازه شکلات فروشی داشته باشه. با شکلات های خارق العاده ای که شبیهش رو فقط در "هری پاتر" پیدا می کنیم
اینجا جاییه که رولد دال باز هم "خودش" رو داخل داستانش گذاشته
