This is a good book to remind you to keep an open mind about religion. It really made me want to learn more about other religions and why people have such deep beliefs and how they relate to environment and upbringing....

A little too much history in it for me and not enough practical application for today.

The Bible says, 'thou shalt not suffer a witch to live'. I don't support actually killing witches, but the Bible made its view on sorcery clear several times, so Sylvia Browne has no place to preach to other people about the Bible. I'm not a Christian, so I don't take offense from a religious perspective, but this woman has been proven time and time again to be a fraud and charlatan, and this book was written for people who want a warm and fuzzy (but false view) of Christianity.

This is a nice introduction to a variety of religions. It's pretty comprehensive in the amount of faiths it covers, and gives a good amount of information. Yes, you will not have as clear of an understand as you would from studying the different religions on their own, but you get a good idea of them, which is a great stepping stone for picking what, if any, you'd like to delve deeper into. It's also a nice compliment to "Mother God". Fitting, as she has a meditation all about honoring both the feminine and masculine principles.
