Книга могла быть полезна для того, чтобы революционная молодежь, жаждущая с криком Ура жертвовать жизнью, приносила хоть какую-то пользу делу революции. Но в целом на 90% состоит из пропаганды, а на 10% - из банальных советов, которые по умолчанию соотносятся с любой партизанской борьбой. Многие советы просто свод��тся к тому, что партизан должен быть умнее и сильнее, чем солдаты и полиция.

Very interesting outline of urban guerilla warfare. As much specific as vague at the same time so it can be read and understood by everyone. The way the brazillian junta handled the PCB and Marighella showed how dangerous his activities and ideas were to the imperialist ruling class. May he rest in peace.

لفت نظري حديثه عن خطايا حرب العصابات في المدن وذكر منها: انعدام الخبرة، والغرور، والتباهي بالعمليات، والفشل بالتخطيط، والهجوم لحظة غضب العدو، والتسرع، والمبالغة في القوة
أظن أن بعض هذه الأخطاء يقع فيها المقاومون في الضفة الغربية كما قد تجاوزو بعضها

لم يتحدث الكاتب عن حالة استخدام العدو لسياسة الأرض المحروقة كما فعل نظام الأسد في حماة في الثمانينات وفي سوريا كلها بعد الثورة، وكما تفعل إسرائيل في
غزة. ماذا يفعل المقاتلون في هذه الحالة وهل لديهم أي فرصة للنجاة والإستمرار؟

This book is so boring that reading it turns into a real "snoozefest". Basically, the message of this book is this: The military dictatorship in Brazil is evil, so in order to fight it we need training, vehicles and weapons, but we should not be hasty (you don't say?!). Also, the best calibers of firearms are .45 and .38, and THE END that's the whole book.

When I first read this I really liked it, but that was a LONG time ago. Now it seems dated. I don't think his idea of cells operating in an urban environment would last long in contemporary cities, especially in places like the U.S. Also, the Marxist/Communist rhetoric gets real boring real fast. Makes me wonder what he'd think about the collapse of Soviet Union; same for college professors and citizens of Berkeley. But overall I still kind of like it. At least it gets the reader to think.
